Announcer

00:22

Addy
Hey, Nerf Herders. I'm Adi Thomas.

00:24

Ben
And I am Ben Milton.

00:25

Addy
Thanks for joining us for another episode of the Star Wars RPG sessions of Certain Point of View. Before we get to that, quick update on weight loss.

00:34

Ben
It's going good.

00:35

Cory
Yeah, I'm making a comeback.

00:37

Addy
How's that fried rice looking?

00:38

Ben
It's looking great because I haven't eaten it yet. Yeah, it's gonna look worse after I eat it.

00:43

Addy
Oh, I love it.

00:44

Case
It's like pounds.

00:45

Addy
I just love that everyone that comes your way, it's just. It's more pounds usually.

00:49

Ben
But I'm losing weight, so how do you explain that?

00:52

Addy
Are you.

00:52

Ben
I definitely am. I'm down. I'm not only have I lost the weight that I gained initially, but I'm down from that too. So I'm making a vicious comeback. Vicious comeback.

01:04

Addy
Well, you can still join Team Ben, Team Matty. Couple other people have already done that case as a keyd has. You can follow all of that on our website, certainpov.com while you're there, check out our social media. You can. You can communicate with us, you can share with us your ideas, your thoughts of what on whatever we're doing, criticize us on whatever our opinions are like. If you for some reason did like Iron Fist, maybe you can let us know. You can find all of that on our website, certainpow.com while you're also there, check out Patreon if you would like to be a part of this podcast and help us out. Of course, you can still listen for free, but if you want to be a part of it, you can also be a part of it on Patreon.

01:43

Addy
In fact, today we have a special live studio audience guest member. It's very lonely for him right now, but we have Brian, who is a Patreon giver and supporter of the podcast.

01:55

Ben
Thanks, Brian.

01:56

Cory
Thanks, Brian. So, anyway, you can. You can also do the same thing.

02:00

Addy
And sometimes you even get a couple extra perks. We're coming up with new ideas for some of those perks, but one of them, one of those perks is getting episodes of this RPG series early. As long as I can edit it fast enough so, you know, that's. That pressure's on me for that. Anyway, all of that is on our website, certainpov.com today. We are doing session four. Four of the Star Wars RPG session. And I'm gonna hand it over to our dungeon master case.

02:26

Case
Well, hello, my nerfherders. All right, so we are getting ready to get into the next session. Can I have everyone roll a D20 for me?

02:41

Ben
1, 1, 3.

02:43

Cory
Did we just become best friends?

02:44

Ben
Yeah, we are.

02:45

Cory
Hold on.

02:46

Case
Hold up. Okay, so. So, Sean, you rolled a nine.

02:49

Shawn
You said yes.

02:50

Case
All right, what did Ben roll? Three.

02:54

Cory
Oh, yeah. We're gonna be rebels.

02:58

Cory
We're gonna be rolling some good ones this game.

03:00

Case
We don't care about high rolls. Sean rolled the nine, and you guys each rolled a one, right?

03:06

Ben
Yeah.

03:07

Case
Let's get a roll off between the two of you.

03:09

Cory
Oh, it's a roll off, y'. All.

03:12

Addy
Oh, that's different.

03:12

Case
Kind of.

03:13

Cory
1117.

03:16

Case
Okay, so, Addie, if you would be so kind as to give.

03:21

Cory
I gotta give the recap without any XP bonus.

03:25

Case
The XP bonus goes to Sean.

03:27

Ben
Congratulations, Sean.

03:28

Cory
Wait, I thought you had to roll a 20 for that.

03:30

Case
No, this is the reverse of the scenario from last time.

03:33

Cory
Oh, that's right, because someone rolled a one.

03:35

Case
Yeah.

03:36

Cory
Nice. I didn't do it alone.

03:38

Case
Actually, before you do the recap, we should just go around the room and introduce ourselves, because we know, theoretically, if you're listening to the show, who Addie and Ben are, but you might as well say who you're playing. I'm the Dungeon Master.

03:49

Ben
I'm Case.

03:50

Case
Sean is to my left.

03:51

Shawn
Yes, I'm Sean. I am playing Fendir Pickup Ithorian Scout.

03:56

Ben
My name is Ben, and I am playing Phelous Vowskiller. I'm a human Fringer.

04:02

Cory
What up?

04:02

Ben
What up?

04:03

Cory
My name is Corey, and Meesagun Gun.

04:06

Case
Soldier named who Flung Dung?

04:12

Cory
Phonics version. Who Flung Dung? Who Flung Dung?

04:19

Addy
And then I'm Addie, of course. I'm the Kel Dor Force user Faux Show. Do we need to explain our relationships at all? I mean, I'm rivals with Ben, and.

04:30

Case
I have to inform you, it was really good to sort of, like, if you want to recap it, just to say what, like, just as a refresher for yourselves. Yeah, but I don't think we really need the audience to care that much.

04:41

Ben
Okay, go back and listen to episodes.

04:43

Case
Or sessions zero through three.

04:45

Cory
Yeah, there you go.

04:48

Case
So, Addie, we'll take it away with the recap.

04:50

Addy
So, last time we just got out of. We were able to escape Yavin. Not just the ground, but the space battle. We were able to make. Make it possible for some transports to Escape. But we also kind of helped with this sort of big sacrifice that a commander that hu. Flung dung and I didn't particularly care for, sacrificed himself in. And we just got to a trading post, Fasa's Atoll, which is an old Neimoidian droid control ship that's now turned into a trading post. And Fasa we've met with, and he's, you know, kind of sympathized with us and has given us the freedom and certain rules as far as what we can trade and what we can't.

05:31

Cory
But.

05:32

Addy
But we're given enough freedom to go and rest comfortably and trade. But what we don't know is that Fazza is planning to betray us to the Empire.

05:42

Case
Very good. All right, so as we find our intrepid adventurers being escorted out by Shay goes to Euphor. It's like, right this way. I'll have to have you meet with Reggie. He will provide security passes for you. It'd be advantageous for you to at least be documented to be on this ship. So right this way. And he escorts you over to a workstation where that older guard that you guys had seen before, the one who was definitely very stout and muscular.

06:29

Ben
Oh, the guy with the big, nice butt.

06:30

Case
Yes.

06:31

Cory
I wasn't gonna say anything, but now.

06:33

Case
That you mention it, but with the wrinkly skin and the long white hair, lots of burpees. Is working away on a computer, and he looks at you and he's like, oh, you four. Okay, let's have some business with you. In the distance, you hear. You hear Fosse's voice.

06:58

Shawn
Ding, ding, ding.

07:00

Cory
Was not from around here. You sure do have a purdy mouth.

07:04

Cory
We don't take too kindly to people who don't take too kindly to people.

07:09

Case
You hear Foss's voice in the distance. Go, Shay to me. And Shay excuses himself and returns to Foss's office. Reggie goes, all right, I need to get your documentation. I need your names, a little bit about your backgrounds. Foss has given you clearance to be on this ship, but no one moves around without my say so. Get me? Gotcha. All right. You human?

07:41

Ben
Yes.

07:43

Case
Who are you?

07:43

Ben
Luke Skywalker. Really?

07:47

Case
I don't know who that is, actually. Technically, that's a drink.

07:50

Ben
That's a little too on the nose.

07:52

Case
I just wanted. Just a drink.

07:55

Shawn
I'm here.

07:57

Cory
I thought you were gonna say Luke Skywalker. And I'm here to rescue you.

08:01

Case
I think that's the second drink. Thank you, everyone.

08:04

Cory
Thank you, everybody.

08:05

Shawn
Thanks.

08:09

Addy
I'll get A drink?

08:10

Case
I don't know any Luke Skywalker.

08:12

Ben
I'm just kidding with you.

08:13

Case
I have a crazy sense of humor.

08:14

Ben
Been under a lot of stress lately. I apolog. My name is in fact Stales Meinlinon Myelinon.

08:24

Case
Is that Corellian?

08:25

Ben
It is Corellian from a long time ago. My family moved from Corellia several generations back.

08:34

Case
Okay, Sorry. How do you spell that?

08:37

Ben
M, Y, N, L, Y, N, O, N, Z, Y, N, O, N. The Z is silent.

08:45

Case
I see. He like, Peck types like. He's definitely not very comfortable with a keyboard as he like types the. The info into his screen and he. His eyes trail on.

09:00

Cory
Space Jiffy Lube.

09:02

Case
Space Jiffy Lube, yeah. Ithorian.

09:05

Shawn
Yes.

09:06

Case
How about you?

09:07

Ben
Just a second.

09:08

Case
Let me. Let me talk to my friend real quick.

09:10

Ben
Don't give him your real name, okay?

09:13

Case
I don't care for that tone. I've got pretty good ears. Give him your real name. Are you. Are you telling me you didn't give me your real name?

09:25

Ben
I definitely gave you my real name. But his real name is a problem. He's wanted on 12 systems. Drink.

09:35

Case
This is the first session of the night.

09:38

Cory
Oh, God, I've got a bad feeling about this.

09:43

Cory
I don't get it.

09:47

Case
You're gonna.

09:50

Cory
I'm surprised you didn't go for the you will.

09:55

Case
One more. Oh, my God. Chewbacca's waste.

10:03

Cory
Guy'S a cray.

10:05

Case
I have a giant mug up here in front of me.

10:07

Cory
I'm so empty right now.

10:09

Case
And my mug has a etched in Chewbacca that spans the entirety of it. And in just the references alone we've gotten from his head to his waist.

10:19

Cory
This is the problem because Ben and.

10:20

Addy
I can have entire conversations purely through Star wars quotes, as God intended.

10:27

Case
Well, good. So now we're going to move on to you, Ithorian.

10:30

Shawn
Yes? Yeah. My name is Ben. Dear ovir.

10:37

Case
I don't know any Authorians who use hard B sounds at the start of their game.

10:42

Shawn
Well, my mother is.

10:43

Case
Pretty hard for your tongues to say.

10:46

Shawn
No, my mother's actually Rhodian.

10:50

Cory
Oh, God.

10:52

Shawn
So I'm one tenth Rodian.

10:56

Ben
I like where you're going with.

11:00

Case
That's not how this works. He's 10 clicks.

11:03

Ben
Oh, you've clearly never been to Tatooine then.

11:08

Cory
No.

11:09

Case
Why would I ever go there?

11:11

Ben
That's a great question, but strange things happen in a big galaxy. Are you questioning my friend's integrity?

11:19

Case
I've seen a lot of this galaxy. Well, that's not how this Works.

11:25

Ben
You clearly haven't seen it all, my friend, I kid you not. My. My friend here is Rodian and Ithorian. Why would we lie about such a crazy.

11:36

Addy
He's got Rodian eyes.

11:38

Cory
Look at him.

11:39

Shawn
That's right.

11:39

Case
He's got beady eyes. Can't trust him. Reggie looks first to one side of your head at the first eye, and then moves around to the other side of your head to see the other eye. He's like, I'm gonna have to look this up.

11:54

Ben
But diplomacy.

11:57

Case
Give it a roll.

12:00

Addy
Six.

12:02

Ben
Plus whatever my bonus is.

12:04

Case
I think my Bonus is like 8 or something like that. Wow.

12:07

Cory
Your bonus is a 5?

12:09

Case
It's close to 8, so an 11. Yeah. All right. He does not seem to be fully buying your shit. And he starts rolling his eyes and goes, I. I don't even want to ask. Gungan. What's your deal, Lisa? Yusa.

12:31

Cory
Yeah. Issa?

12:33

Cory
Misa?

12:34

Ben
Hong Solo.

12:40

Case
Yeah, that name is definitely Corellian.

12:42

Cory
Hong Solo. Trying to feel like we got a drink.

12:52

Case
Yeah. All right, everyone.

12:53

Cory
Drink.

12:57

Ben
Damn it, Corey.

12:59

Case
This is going to be the one that goes downhill now. That name is definitely Corellian. And you're a Gungan.

13:10

Ben
Oh, I can explain that. He's my cousin.

13:15

Case
What?

13:17

Ben
Yeah, we go way back. Remember when I said that my family several generations ago, left Corellia?

13:23

Cory
Yeah.

13:23

Ben
There was like, a really ugly situation involving a Gungan woman and my great grandfather.

13:30

Case
Everyone give me spot checks.

13:32

Ben
That's why we had to.

13:37

Case
Failures and foe. You notice that he's tapping on his left hand in sort of a rhythm. And while we're at it, you also notice that his right hand, he is only. He actually only has his bottom three fingers. He's missing his thumb and his or his trigger finger. But there are wires that go into like, the. Like the hole in his hand where those digits should be. All right, now I hesitate to ask you, Keldor, what's your deal?

14:16

Addy
Sho.

14:17

Shawn
Foe.

14:19

Case
Now, you see, this is someone who gives me a straight answer. This is a typical Keldor name.

14:24

Ben
Sir, are you suggesting that we are lying? I take offense, sir.

14:30

Case
I take offense to people not playing straight to me.

14:37

Ben
We.

14:39

Shawn
Go ahead.

14:39

Addy
Just.

14:40

Shawn
Just continue.

14:40

Case
Yeah. Now look, Fasa has given you guys passes to be here, and he trusts.

14:46

Cory
You.

14:49

Case
But are you really trying to bullshit me right now?

14:52

Ben
No, sir.

14:55

Case
Do you listen? Checks. Failures. You're the only one who hears the pitter patter of metal feet. I mean, seriously, we're giving you the benefit of the doubt. I know you're rebels I've been informed. Fawcett gave me the briefing. We figured it out the second your ship came out of hyperspace.

15:23

Ben
Well, of course we're rebels. We never denied being rebels.

15:25

Case
So what kind of information are you trying to sell me here?

15:31

Ben
What are you buying?

15:34

Case
Well, I'll tell you this much, it's going to be a three finger discount. And he raises his hand up and you see that there's like, a little, like, blue.

15:47

Cory
Are you doing the Dane cook thing?

15:53

Case
What are we doing? He's not giving you the shocker. He laps his thumb and trigger finger on his right hand, but you see a blue marble looking thing on his palm that he's been tapping with, I guess his second finger in the scenario. Not the pinky, the one in the middle.

16:09

Cory
The ring finger.

16:10

Case
Yeah, the ring finger.

16:11

Cory
There.

16:12

Case
And at that point, a bunch of Neimoidian battle droids step into the room with guns drawn and at you guys. Now, here's the deal. You all. You all are here at the behest. Not really the behest, but at the grace. The grace?

16:37

Ben
Yes.

16:37

Case
Thank you.

16:37

Cory
Don't help us.

16:38

Ben
What?

16:39

Cory
Whose team are you on? Sorry, I'm not shofo. Don't try to help us, guys.

16:45

Case
I'm not very good with words. And I appreciate it.

16:47

Shawn
Keldor, that was.

16:48

Case
That was good of you. No, keep doing it. Keep doing it. You are here at the grace of Fossa. We could have shot you out of the sky. Not many ships can run a blockade like the ones that this kind of atoll would put off. But you all, you're here. We're allowing you to be here. Why are you giving me this?

17:17

Addy
Sir?

17:18

Case
Someone fucking answer me.

17:20

Cory
You. You like him?

17:21

Ben
How about you ask him?

17:23

Shawn
Kevin.

17:24

Addy
We're just here to lie low for just a little bit, do some trading and then. And then move on peacefully. We don't want to create any problems, but we just want to stay, you know, under the radar right now.

17:35

Ben
All right, I'll level with you.

17:37

Case
Thank you.

17:38

Ben
There's a bounty on our heads.

17:40

Case
I could believe that. So who are you really?

17:45

Addy
Just his.

17:46

Cory
We're just not ours.

17:49

Ben
We're smugglers. We work for the rebellion occasionally. That's how we got the ship. But we, you know, we've got some problems with the Hutts, and they're after us. And, you know, we're just trying to lay low. We're not trying to disrespect anybody. We're just trying to keep our trail quiet. You can understand that. You're a man of reason. I can see that.

18:18

Case
Okay, well, give me a diplomacy roll. Actually, 24. I guess I understand trying to stay low with the Hutts. They're not particularly friendly. I've had run ins with them myself.

18:36

Ben
Do tell.

18:38

Case
After the wars. Some bad times.

18:43

Ben
But which wars were you in? The Clone Wars.

18:47

Case
I don't like to talk about it.

18:49

Ben
Oh, I understand. I understand. Those were hard times.

18:54

Case
Bad times.

18:55

Ben
Bad times, friend. Let me buy you a drink.

19:00

Case
Well, maybe if we go down to Okessels. Okay, later. Look, here's the deal. I understand if you want to keep it low. I'll even take your bullshit maintenance. Pull it on or put it all on here. But understand this, I'm not here to fuck you. If I was, I'd be the one behind you.

19:24

Addy
Okay.

19:25

Case
Oh, thank God.

19:26

Ben
Because I was trying to get.

19:27

Cory
Guess like, was wondering. Oh, don't mind me. I'm just talking to myself.

19:34

Case
Your Gungan friend is.

19:37

Addy
Pretty annoying, as they all are.

19:40

Ben
That's true.

19:41

Case
I haven't. I've had my last.

19:42

Cory
My last name.

19:43

Shawn
So low.

19:46

Case
God scream.

19:47

Cory
Should I sit down?

19:51

Cory
We learned to tune him out.

19:54

Cory
Should I just stop talking?

19:55

Cory
Yep.

19:58

Case
Look, all right, fine.

20:02

Cory
Well.

20:06

Case
And he, like, taps both of his hands and the. The battle droids that had their guns aimed at you, like, the. The arms turn up and they all like, turn out and march out the room. And he taps his hand two more times and another battle droid walks in, this one not holding any weaponry and clearly holding some towels and stuff for you guys. And he comes in. It's like one of our repurposed protocol droids. Will show you to your space.

20:39

Ben
Thank you so much, Reggie. Thanks for understanding.

20:44

Case
I'm doing this because FASA told me to make sure that you guys are taken care of. But understand this. You're trying to bullshit me and I don't care for it. I've had enough people bullshit me in my life.

21:02

Ben
I understand, Reggie, and I apologize. You understand the sensitivity of the situation and I appreciate your being a stand up character and a stand up guy and helping us out in a tight spot. If you ever need anything from us, Reggie, you can count on us.

21:18

Shawn
Do any of you guys know what a bull is?

21:21

Case
It's an off world type of bantha.

21:24

Shawn
Oh, okay. Like on Tatooine, where I was conceived.

21:34

Case
Droid, show them to their quarters. And the droid takes a second and its eyes flash and then goes, roger. And then turns out and gestures to follow as it sort of like slowly walks down this hallway.

21:52

Ben
All right, let's follow the droid boys.

21:58

Case
You guys follow this droid, and you're going down this hallway. And after a few minutes of walking, you come to this point where there's like a clear. It's not like an archway, but it's a clear divide in the section that you're in, and you guys walk through it. Now, Phelias and Foe feel nothing as they walk through, aside from it being kind of warm. But Hoof and Findir both feel very dehydrated, particularly Hoof. In fact, Hoof actually starts to feel woozy. Give me a fortune. Say please. Yeah, Hoof.

22:44

Cory
You'Re on the desk, man.

22:46

Cory
I am totally woozy with the two.

22:48

Case
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. You're absolutely feeling not particularly good. In fact, you faint. Oh, Bloop.

22:57

Cory
Bloop. Bloop might be my favorite sound effect of this game. I'm gonna save that one for Bloop.

23:08

Case
You come to as you feel like mist of water, as this battle droid is holding, a little spray bottle is spraying you with water on your face.

23:16

Cory
I was expecting Fendir to be peeing.

23:19

Case
I would.

23:19

Cory
I would do it.

23:20

Case
Are you guys trying to, like, help your friend who's just passed out as you walk through a barrier?

23:27

Ben
I guess so.

23:27

Cory
Down. Bubba, what happened? Misa. No. No.

23:31

Case
Are you okay?

23:32

Ben
Misa?

23:33

Cory
No. No.

23:34

Cory
Where am I?

23:35

Ben
Take it easy, buddy. Just.

23:36

Addy
You need to get some rest.

23:38

Cory
You just fell over. Yeah.

23:40

Case
No way.

23:41

Ben
Yeah way.

23:43

Case
As you become alert, the droid straightens itself up. Its eyes flicker for a second, and it goes. Evaporation field. Hazardous for certain life forms. Wait, evaporation field?

23:58

Ben
What does that mean?

24:00

Case
It does not respond.

24:01

Ben
Droid, what does the evaporation field do?

24:06

Case
Its eyes flicker and it goes. Evaporation field is to segment off portions of population from specific chambers.

24:15

Addy
Oh, so these guys, because they need, like, a more water based environment, can't go into these rooms?

24:22

Case
No, it's not a. It is a field. It's not. Once you walk through, you're okay. It's not like once you walk in, you're like. It's a constant. It's just a barrier that drains people. And you guys note that it's a very hot area, like compressed air, right in that spot. But any place, once you move past it is.

24:42

Ben
Who are they trying to keep out?

24:44

Case
Certain populations of the atoll should not enter restricted areas.

24:52

Addy
Also, Droid, what's your designation? So we just don't call you. Have to call you droid anymore.

24:59

Ben
K2. Fu.

25:08

Cory
Okay.

25:13

Case
Droid designation. CCN1.

25:16

Ben
All right.

25:17

Cory
CC thanks.

25:21

Case
The droid turns around and continues walking. Does the little gesture for you to follow and then continues.

25:28

Ben
Oh, Cici. Are we gonna walk through any more.

25:30

Case
Of these Cici stops? Rotates, eyes flicker. That is the only one on the route.

25:39

Ben
Thank you, Cece. All right, let's go, guys.

25:41

Case
It rotates back and continues.

25:44

Cory
Am I still woozy?

25:46

Case
You're feeling not great after that. You've been revitalized by the water mist being sprayed on your face, but your amphibious form is not particularly friendly for things like that. In fact, anything that is sort of like a softer skin for the kind of moisture is not going to love those barriers.

26:06

Ben
Who's got any kind of knowledge, skill that would tell us?

26:10

Shawn
Oh, I had knowledge.

26:11

Addy
Oh, yeah, Our scout has a lot of knowledge.

26:14

Case
Hey, Fender.

26:15

Shawn
Yes.

26:18

Case
Were you affected by that wall at all?

26:21

Shawn
I felt a little off a little. I felt like I was woozy, but not as strongly as Hoof Long?

26:31

Case
Yeah. To clarify, all of you felt it when you walked through, but Phelius and Foe both felt it just like, oh, that was really hot. It was like if you walked through a hand dryer, but it was super concentrated. Phindir felt it, didn't love it. Probably wouldn't want to stay standing in that archway for too long, but didn't feel weaker about it. It's like when you walk out in Arizona in July versus walking out in Maryland in July. Like Arizona hurts, but for Hoof, it was devastating. You feel particularly dehydrated. Like you're super thirsty right now. You have any water? Let's give the person who has a knowledge nature roll. So 16.

27:20

Case
So if you wanted to make an inference on this one, it would be that certain types of creatures that are, like I said, something particularly amphibious, more water oriented creatures, calamari, would be unable to walk through this without experiencing some sort of issues.

27:35

Ben
Fenrir, why do you think, like, what do you think that's about?

27:37

Shawn
Well, I'd say if this had an impact on a Gungan species, the calamari would be devastated by that type of environment. I'd say would have a hard time surviving it, which make me wonder why.

27:51

Case
Why?

27:53

Ben
I mean, the calamari are extremely good tacticians. I don't know. What's the relationship between the Neimoidians and the calamari?

28:03

Addy
Not good. Since the Clone wars, the Moidians tried invading and taking over. And the Mon Calamari are pretty firmly part of the Rebel Alliance.

28:13

Ben
Interesting. All right, well, let's keep walking.

28:17

Case
You guys continue to follow cece. And he comes to this point where the. There is a ramp that clearly goes down and then two ramps that sort of the floor almost like bends up to the wall. And he follows the path of the floor. It's like as if you were going up a. Like a half pipe or a quarter pipe in this case. And he just continues to walk with no problem until the point where he's actually perpendicular to the floor that you guys were on and continues to gesture for you to follow him.

28:51

Cory
Are you seeing this too?

28:53

Shawn
Yeah.

28:54

Cory
Yeah.

28:54

Shawn
You're good.

28:55

Cory
I thought I was just still woozy.

28:56

Addy
Cece, can we get a drink of water for our friend here?

28:59

Case
Cece rotates and then sprays more water in your face.

29:06

Ben
Give him some more.

29:10

Case
He rotates back and continues walking.

29:13

Cory
He spit on me.

29:16

Case
So you follow it, and what you find is, as you walk up, what turns like the hallway into the wall, you see that the layout for this ring that you're on has different gravity points. So that the nature of it is that the floors are like spokes that stick out and have their own artificial gravity. But anything closer towards the center pointer actually has a gravity well toward inwards into the circle itself. You're not sure if this is how they originally were designed, but this is how it's been retrofitted as it's become this weird ass atoll to maximize the amount of living space. You can clearly see that a lot of the structures that you're in are not consistent with each other. The whole retrofitted? Yeah, the whole thing has been modified to have maximize the amount of things that can go into it.

30:06

Case
As you continue to walk, you come to glass openings where you can see this large portion promenade that is directly below you guys. But every so often, there are ramps that go up to floors that then are then at that perpendicular direction from you. And so you continue to follow Cici. Looking down into this promenade, you see, like, it's like a bazaar. There's all kinds of, like, shops and stuff going on. Give me spot checks.

30:33

Ben
Nice one.

30:33

Cory
I've rolled all night. Six. That's great.

30:39

Shawn
18, 22.

30:41

Addy
Seven.

30:41

Case
All right, the majority of you, except for the extremely woozy Hoof and his friend Foe, who's tending.

30:50

Addy
Super sleepy.

30:51

Case
Yeah, you're super sleepy and you're tending to your friend. So, Phelias and Fender, you guys are observing that down in this promenade, there's all kinds of activity, but there's also what looks like slavery going on.

31:10

Cory
Go on.

31:11

Case
There are Wookiees that are being prodded by battle Droids. And there's also, you can see a large group of Mon Calamari that are, like, going about cleaning things and doing all kinds of work on the sides.

31:25

Addy
We need to buy a Wookiee.

31:30

Cory
I don't care about getting the ship. Now we just need to get a Wookie.

31:34

Case
Really?

31:35

Cory
I was going to set him free.

31:36

Ben
You know why?

31:37

Addy
We buy him and set him free.

31:38

Ben
And you know why?

31:39

Addy
Because of the.

31:39

Case
Because I did it all for the Wookie.

31:41

Cory
Oh, my God.

31:43

Case
That's a drink regardless. I don't care if that's an actual reference or not. What a new.

31:48

Cory
What a Wookie mistake.

31:51

Addy
He'll have a life debt to you.

31:52

Ben
Oh, I do love myself a good. What if we set them all free?

31:56

Addy
Can we afford them all?

31:57

Ben
What if we just blew this place up and just set them all free?

32:01

Case
Hey, foe, do you have any particular knowledge skills that might be relevant to this?

32:05

Addy
Jedi lore is the only one that.

32:07

Case
I have, so give me a straight intelligence check.

32:14

Addy
19.

32:15

Case
Oh, so this idea is actually feasible that your character would have, where you're like, oh, we should try to, at the very least, free someone, if not all of them or none of them, and just have one slave. It's entirely. But you at least have that thought.

32:31

Addy
I don't like to use the word slave. I'd like to free him, and hopefully he'll be our companion.

32:36

Case
It occurs to you that's a possibility.

32:38

Cory
Hashtag the same thing. I don't care how raw games play it. It's the same thing. If he decides to go home, he goes home.

32:46

Addy
That's fine.

32:47

Cory
Okay. I'm just saying, conditions on kashyyyk aren't particularly great.

32:53

Case
Right.

32:53

Ben
Whatever you say, massa.

32:55

Cory
Oh, wow.

32:56

Case
Oh, wow.

32:59

Cory
This is ugly.

33:00

Case
You continue to follow Cece, and he comes to a ramp, where he then walks up what looks like the wall, and then all of a sudden, it's his floor. And if you follow him, he leads you along into what's clearly sort of a converted habitation chamber. These are not big spaces that are meant for lots of people. When he opens the door, you look in. It is exactly how Fassa described it is a studio apartment with a futon in there. Or rather a small sort of, like, couch that can be converted into it.

33:31

Addy
Is there only one futon?

33:32

Cory
Yes, yes, Dub. It's a stadium apartment.

33:35

Case
It's really small. It is for all four of us. Yes. You guys are being afforded a space.

33:40

Cory
Spoon. Hey, I'll be the big spoon.

33:47

Case
Cece sets down the linens that he's carrying and all the towels. He puts down the spray bottle. There's an eye flicker. It's like, you may need this. And then he rises up and is like.

33:58

Cory
He's got the spit bottle. Run.

34:00

Case
There is a panel next to the door. It can be used to communicate with the central computer system. If you have any requirements, please contact it. Until then, have a good day. Thanks, Cece. Cici turns around and walks away.

34:20

Addy
All right, guys, so we need a. While we're here, we need to figure out what all we need to buy. Like, we need to get weapons. We are. Are we going to be able to sell the. The. The proton torpedoes?

34:33

Ben
Well, we'll definitely be able to sell the proton torpedoes. It's going to be risky to sell. Sell the Y wing on the black market, so we'll just keep the. Yeah, we warned pretty heavily about selling it by. What's his name. Yeah, by fossils. So we got to be careful about that. We put out feelers about it, but honestly, I don't feel great about our odds on being able to get rid of that thing. Plus, it's got a hyperdrive, so why.

34:57

Addy
Don'T we just keep it? But we got to figure out what we're gonna sell so that we can.

35:01

Ben
Well, the only thing we have of value is the two bombs and fender.

35:08

Addy
What?

35:12

Case
Beeping sound from the wall control panel. Do you guys do anything? Yeah.

35:20

Addy
Yeah, let's take a look.

35:21

Ben
Hello? Hello.

35:25

Case
This is the voice of Shay coming in.

35:26

Ben
Oh, hi, Shay.

35:28

Case
His face shows up.

35:29

Cory
Yes, and some water.

35:32

Case
Housekeeping. We've set repairs on your ship. There was some minor damage. We have also begun refueling, fueling it.

35:43

Ben
Thank you.

35:44

Case
We understand that you may wish to sell it somehow, in which case, please speak with me. But either way, it'll better value to you if it is in full condition.

35:56

Ben
What about the.

35:58

Case
We have confiscated some of the equipment that was redundant in there in exchange for this value point. The barter has allowed us to cover the costs. We are also happy to provide you with some credits in exchange for some of the unnecessary equipment that you had in there.

36:24

Ben
That sounds good. Shay. Keep in mind I may have mentioned getting rid of the ship earlier. We kind of talked about it. I don't know if it's a great idea. We already have a problem with the huts, and things haven't been great for us. We may just need that ship. It's probably our best option just to.

36:46

Cory
Keep it at this point.

36:47

Case
Understood.

36:51

Ben
How much are we talking about for the barter?

36:56

Case
We would. In addition to Making sure that your ship is in perfect condition. We would give you 1,000 credits. 2,000. I'm sorry, I don't know if I can do that.

37:18

Ben
Why don't you check and let me know?

37:25

Case
1216.

37:30

Shawn
I'm throwing a Wookiee too.

37:31

Cory
16, 1200 and a Wookiee.

37:36

Case
Are you serious?

37:37

Ben
No.

37:40

Case
We can do 400 and a Wookiee.

37:45

Cory
Look at that he size.

37:46

Addy
Hold on.

37:47

Cory
I gotta get a picture of this. Holy shit. It's my birthday, guys. My birthday. I've always wanted a wookie.

38:02

Case
We could also do 402 mon calamari.

38:06

Cory
Oh, fuck that. Imagine the amount of fish food you gotta buy. And then you gotta like turn the lights off on the low ultraviolet mode later on.

38:17

Shawn
No way. But I will say.

38:24

Case
Fair enough. Fair enough.

38:27

Cory
You're such an asshole.

38:29

Case
Honestly, once you've got one, really, you can just let it work the whole time? You don't need to.

38:35

Shawn
Well, I will say we're down there, we saw the ma and calamari slaving away. A couple look familiar.

38:43

Case
Almost like they all look the same, dude.

38:45

Cory
They're like how dare you?

38:49

Shawn
But some actually look like prominent war heroes that somehow ended up here enslaved.

38:56

Cory
But we might want to like an ackbar maybe, Perhaps.

39:01

Addy
I don't know.

39:01

Cory
Guys, I think this might be a trap. You bastard.

39:06

Ben
Drink.

39:09

Cory
Oh my God.

39:10

Ben
I'm sorry.

39:10

Case
I can assure you most of arman calamari came from guppies. From a stock hold on cod swallow.

39:22

Shawn
They're farm raised.

39:23

Cory
Oh, they're cod swallow spawn.

39:26

Case
Yes.

39:27

Shawn
All right.

39:28

Ben
Haven't you guys always wanted to own.

39:30

Cory
Your very own cod swallow?

39:32

Cory
Not after I met the last one.

39:35

Case
How about this?

39:36

Shawn
God damn it.

39:37

Case
I can do. I can do 6, 600 and a Wookie.

39:44

Addy
I don't think we're going to get a better deal, man.

39:46

Cory
Although, what do we need a wookie for?

39:48

Addy
No, hold on. Just like right now. That was just like I. Like I can be a bad spender. Like I just.

39:55

Case
I could even make sure that he's broken.

39:59

Cory
No, I want him working emotionally. I'm broken emotionally. I don't want to bring around a sad wookie everywhere. That's just too depressing, man. That's like watching Mary and me just like Chewy after Hind died. Who wants that broken piece of. It's like Hobbs without Calvin. What do I want that? I would love that. What's wrong with you? No, because it has to be your friend. Yeah, because I want Hobbs as my friend. Jesus Christ. All right, well we need to think.

40:31

Addy
About what we need to get as well. So we're keeping the ship? So what are we looking to buy while we're here? Stock up on weapons.

40:38

Case
We'll tell you what.

40:39

Cory
Fire extinguishers.

40:40

Case
You guys sleep on it. I'm sure you'll find interesting arrangements there.

40:46

Ben
Let's see what's available here. And then before we jump for this.

40:50

Case
Shop around, we'll start the work on the ship. But let me know, and once you do, I'll talk to my Wookiee guy. He has a cat.

41:02

Cory
Yeah, yeah, we want to keep that on the table still. Oh, my God. I can't believe we're buying a fucking Wookie. Tear the arms out of a. Dude. Great, great. You don't want that guy on our side.

41:17

Ben
No, having a wookie would be cool.

41:18

Cory
We got enough problems. How are we gonna feed it?

41:21

Shawn
Yeah, that is a mouth to feed. It's true.

41:23

Cory
But it's his birthday.

41:25

Shawn
We gotta bathe it.

41:27

Cory
It's my birthday yesterday, you asshole. And you don't want a wookie. Tell me with a straight face.

41:39

Case
Are we getting a new player soon?

41:50

Cory
Oh, it's the best.

41:56

Ben
All right.

41:57

Addy
I'll drink for that.

41:59

Case
It wasn't really a Star Wars. Okay. Out of game reference.

42:02

Cory
Whatever.

42:03

Addy
All right, so let's. Yeah, let's shop around.

42:07

Ben
Hey, Shay, before you go.

42:09

Case
Yes?

42:09

Cory
Let's spoon on it.

42:10

Ben
What kind of shopping options do we have while we're here?

42:13

Case
This is a trading depot. There are quite a few people selling many things.

42:20

Ben
Shay, I think we're looking for armor and weapons mostly.

42:25

Case
I would advise you not to directly ask me that question. But if you were looking for things because you did not feel safe. Yeah, Shane, I would probably.

42:35

Ben
Protection's not illegal in this galaxy.

42:37

Case
Protection is not feeling safe. Is not. I would prefer not direct questions about any particular means, however. But if you were to talk or.

42:50

Addy
The Empire has strict blaster control regulations.

42:53

Case
Oh, I'm not talking about blasters. That's crazy talk, Shane. Yeah, it's absolutely crazy talk.

42:57

Cory
Crazy talk.

42:58

Case
However, if you were to walk to Section 5 of the Promenade, just past the Mon Calamari trading pits, you should be able. We're gonna get a nice red hat and a Wookiee. You should be able to find some people who would help you feel safe.

43:21

Cory
Okay, Great. All right, great.

43:24

Ben
Is there anything else we should know, Shay?

43:27

Addy
Yes.

43:27

Case
While you're over there's a couple of good bars. Okessels is a pretty famous one here. Oh, I've heard about Kessels Yes, Reggie.

43:38

Addy
Was telling us about that.

43:39

Case
Yeah, Reggie frequents that place a little too often.

43:42

Ben
I bet he does. He looks like a guy.

43:44

Case
He has night terrors. He has quite a bit going on.

43:49

Ben
Which war was he in, do you think? Shay?

43:51

Case
Oh, well, he fought in the Clone Wars.

43:53

Ben
Is he a clone?

43:55

Cory
Maybe. What do you mean, maybe?

43:58

Case
I mean, he doesn't like to talk about it, but I've known him for quite a bit of time and he seems to age for three years for every one that I do.

44:07

Ben
And you think maybe he's a clone?

44:09

Case
I'd say there's a good chance.

44:10

Ben
All right. Thanks.

44:11

Case
He could also have like that Jack condition. I don't know. It's pretty bad.

44:18

Cory
Jack condition or being a clone?

44:21

Case
Both are pretty bad.

44:26

Cory
Shay, you know you're a little bit racist, right?

44:28

Case
A little bit. I'll admit.

44:30

Cory
At least he admits it.

44:31

Case
I'll admit he. He's a little more southern than I would expect. Going into it, he didn't think he was going to be that southern, but he just adopted that draw.

44:45

Cory
Oh, okay. Good to know.

44:48

Ben
He's from the outer rim, all right.

44:50

Case
Well, no, he's really.

44:51

Shawn
He's the Southern Rim.

44:52

Case
Well, sort of from the outer rim. I mean, he was one of the last off the line, as far as I understand.

44:59

Ben
Good to know. Shake. Thank you so much.

45:01

Case
Yeah, I wouldn't ask him about it.

45:03

Addy
He's.

45:04

Case
He's pretty touchy. Some bad things happened.

45:08

Ben
Yeah, well, some bad things have happened to all of us. Am I right?

45:11

Shawn
Not really.

45:13

Case
I'm doing pretty well. I've shaped a pretty nice life here. I have steady income. I have health insurance. Not many people can say that in these times. It's a pretty good life I have.

45:27

Ben
Tell me about that. Palpatine Care is just not helping any of us.

45:31

Case
No, it's not particularly comprehensive.

45:37

Cory
They rejected everybody on pre existing conditions.

45:40

Case
It's just the worst. Yeah, but ofasa care is pretty good. Well, tell you what. My men are going to get to work on your ship. Do you have a name for that ship so we don't have to call it just that ship. Or possibly names that would identify it.

45:57

Ben
I call it Susan.

45:58

Case
Susan. Okay. So we're gonna get to work on Susan. We're gonna work her over, change all her fluids, do some injections. It's gonna be doing good. Oh, yeah. Yeah.

46:10

Ben
She likes it rough. Just get in there and just bust her up if you need to.

46:13

Case
I've got some good men who will go town on it. So you guys get Some rest. I understand that at the very least, your Keldor is pretty famished. Oh, and by the way, you've got a Gungan. I'm sure you noticed. There are certain barriers that you don't want to walk through with someone who's somewhat amphibious.

46:42

Ben
Is that because of the Mon Calamari? I'm just curious. Absolutely. I love that about what you guys are doing. I think that's fantastic.

46:49

Case
Well, we got a great deal from the Quarrens. What could we say?

46:53

Ben
You gotta say yes.

46:54

Case
Am I right?

46:55

Cory
Exactly.

46:56

Ben
You don't love a good deal when you see it.

46:58

Case
It's like going to target.

47:00

Cory
All right, are we done here, Shay?

47:03

Case
Well, call me back when you make a decision on the deal.

47:06

Ben
Sounds good, friend.

47:07

Case
Get some rest.

47:08

Ben
Thank you. All right, guys. Well, you heard Shay. They got a bunch of Mon Calamari and Wookiee slaves here we can go shopping for. Not weapons and armor. And they're fixing our ship. We may be able. Now we have to decide. Are we gonna get a Wookiee, two Mon Calamari, or are we gonna buy ourselves some gear?

47:32

Cory
Addie, really? I mean, Fosho wants the Wookiee.

47:36

Ben
Of course he wants the Wookiee because he's a moron.

47:40

Cory
I want the Wookiee now too.

47:42

Cory
What are we gonna do with a Wookiee?

47:43

Ben
Guys?

47:46

Addy
Have another friend.

47:47

Cory
Have another friend.

47:48

Cory
We got space on the. We got space.

47:52

Addy
I promise to feed and clean after it.

47:55

Ben
Me too.

47:55

Case
Oh my God.

47:56

Ben
You sound like my eight year old.

48:00

Cory
Foe.

48:00

Case
Give me a diplomacy check against Phelias sense motive.

48:11

Cory
12.

48:16

Case
10. Okay. Foe makes a really convincing argument. I mean, you're like. These sound like good ideas.

48:26

Ben
I mean, we could probably use another hand. Strong arm because you guys are a bunch of points. We probably could use like a strong arm to help us. Help me fight off any imperial entanglements.

48:39

Cory
We can carry more fire extinguishers into the ship. If we had extra hands.

48:43

Cory
We had a Wookie.

48:43

Case
Yeah, if we had a Wookie, but.

48:45

Shawn
We'Re going to name it. Who decides that?

48:48

Cory
Well, I would hope. Well, we clearly.

48:52

Ben
We clearly play rock, paper, scissors to.

48:54

Case
Decide who names the Wookie.

48:55

Cory
Or he could tell us his name. You might already have one.

48:59

Shawn
Yeah, you need to establish dominance when you get a Wookie. First thing. Nine.

49:13

Case
I believe your roll is pretty high on that one. Okay, so with that net. 20, go ahead and spe some now. It's canon.

49:27

Cory
Go for it. It's all. It's all. Everything's game now that Disney owns it.

49:34

Shawn
Guys, so it's a known fact when you get a wookie.

49:38

Cory
Yeah.

49:38

Shawn
First thing you do.

49:39

Case
Uhhuh.

49:40

Shawn
You smack it across the nose, of course. With the paper.

49:43

Ben
With the paper.

49:44

Shawn
With the paper. Start. You start gentle. That way you think, you know it's going to be okay. They trust you.

49:49

Case
Smacking it across the face with paper.

49:56

Shawn
That'S like me blowing in your face, you know, with my. With my Ithorian breath.

49:59

Ben
That's actually a really good point, guys.

50:01

Shawn
And then, you know, you give him a nice little rub behind the ear. You scratch him a bit, say he's gonna be okay. And when he thinks okay, then you start punching. You hit him really hard. But everyone. And this is important, in the face. Everyone. No, it's right in the gut, right in the stomach, but everybody at the same time, you need to urinate on it. And you need to say, you're nothing. You're nothing. You have to repeat that.

50:23

Cory
Wait, how many times do we have to say it, though?

50:25

Shawn
At least 10 times.

50:26

Ben
10?

50:27

Addy
Yeah.

50:27

Cory
Saying it nine times would be a Wookiee mistake.

50:29

Shawn
Right.

50:37

Cory
Here. No, that's just a good pun.

50:44

Case
That's just a good pun.

50:46

Shawn
Okay, but now wookie here. And then when you've established dominance, you give him the name. You choose the name for him.

51:00

Cory
Okay, so we got C on him.

51:02

Shawn
You knew. You have to. The stench needs to get it right in the spur. Really deep in there.

51:07

Case
Okay, so. That is disgusting.

51:09

Shawn
Hey, listen, I didn't make this up.

51:11

Cory
I think you did.

51:12

Addy
I did not.

51:12

Cory
That's a shot from the Wookiee Whisperer.

51:17

Case
Yes, from Cesar Millan. Calamari. Goodbye, Rails.

51:36

Cory
You're so lucky. Wow. This cut off. There might have to be an extended cut of this episode.

51:46

Shawn
This entire one is outtakes.

51:51

Case
I promise that the second session was.

51:53

Cory
Gonna be the crazier one, so the.

51:55

Case
First one might as well be the zany one.

51:58

Cory
So. So this is the thing.

51:59

Addy
So if we're not gonna buy weapons and armor, should we get, like, com links so that we can.

52:08

Shawn
That.

52:08

Addy
I mean, that's something that.

52:09

Ben
How much are they?

52:10

Addy
So generally? 75 for each one. So we need five of them.

52:16

Case
I'm not giving the lucky a comma four of them. You're the only one he'll listen to after that.

52:36

Cory
Lando Calrissian thing, if you ask me.

52:39

Shawn
Oh.

52:41

Cory
What, That's a record?

52:45

Addy
Like 14.

52:45

Case
That's a record scratch right there.

52:50

Cory
Got him in a closet. Oh, no.

52:58

Case
Oh, no.

52:59

Shawn
Guys.

53:00

Case
All right, guys, so you guys are in the room. I know at least one of you really needs to sleep. Another one's really dehydrated. There is a sink.

53:08

Cory
Oh, I'm gonna go get some water.

53:09

Cory
I gotta get some water.

53:10

Case
So he's just like, lapping up water that's, like coming out from the sink. It's like, no, he doesn't even choke. Cause he's just like, this is all great. Oh, it's all good. It's all great.

53:20

Shawn
Drink up. You're gonna need a lot of piss for that wookie.

53:22

Cory
Getting so hydrated, it's like a solid.

53:25

Case
30 minutes of him lapping water before he's even ready to do anything else.

53:31

Shawn
Foe.

53:32

Case
Are you gonna try to get some sleep on that futon?

53:34

Addy
Yes.

53:35

Cory
Yes.

53:35

Case
If you pull it out, you can get two people on there. No.

53:41

Cory
What are you pulling out?

53:45

Case
Bo's not a big fan of pulling out on his birthday.

53:50

Cory
But it's my birthday.

53:53

Cory
He brought his birthday suit.

53:56

Ben
Nope, not gonna do it.

53:58

Cory
Wouldn't be proved.

54:07

Ben
Let's see. Yes, I will go to sleep as long as I'm alone. Like, I need some. I need some quiet time now. You know what? You're the most tired of the.

54:14

Cory
That's why talking to me fo show. Go to sleep, not failures.

54:18

Ben
I'm not going to sleep with you. I'll read a book.

54:22

Cory
Oh, yeah, that's what he was doing last time.

54:24

Cory
Reading a book. Didn't finish that one, did you?

54:29

Ben
Pretty excited about peeing on that Wookiee, aren't you?

54:31

Case
That's it.

54:32

Cory
Why do you think I'm drinking all.

54:33

Case
This water this whole time?

54:37

Cory
Am I supposed to look at the camera?

54:38

Case
Don't look at the camera. Oh, my God. Look at the camera. And Finn, Deer. What are you doing right now?

54:49

Shawn
Well, part of me thinks about, well, if animals go to spirit, which I really like. So I think about going out and actually exploring a little bit, taking a look around, kind of see what's going on with our ship, make sure nothing. Was that gonna mess it up? Can I do that?

55:05

Case
Yeah, you can do that.

55:05

Addy
And you got a nap on the.

55:07

Shawn
I did get a nap.

55:07

Case
This is like a save point.

55:09

Ben
I'm, like, super rusty.

55:11

Case
Yeah.

55:11

Shawn
So I want to actually go out, want to check on the ship, because something just doesn't seem right with this Shay character.

55:18

Ben
Quick thing.

55:20

Addy
Does Fendir still have his space Agatha Christie novel that he was reading back on Yavin.

55:24

Shawn
Oh, I'm gonna give that to failiatry.

55:26

Cory
Oh, okay.

55:26

Ben
Oh, thanks.

55:27

Cory
Does it have pictures?

55:29

Cory
It doesn't have pictures.

55:30

Cory
He's gonna need it.

55:31

Case
Let me guess.

55:32

Cory
The droid did it.

55:36

Case
Not your Gideon's Bible of the wills.

55:41

Shawn
I definitely want to check things out because just see what's going on in this atoll.

55:47

Case
Okay.

55:47

Cory
Yeah.

55:48

Case
You're welcome to go check it out. Do you invite anyone to come with?

55:52

Shawn
Let's see, he's slurping up water. He's going to read. He's going to sleep.

55:56

Case
Okay, so you're going to go out.

55:57

Shawn
I'm on my own.

55:57

Cory
Cool.

55:58

Shawn
I'm a scout.

55:59

Case
You head on out. So you're down in sort of like a residential area. It's really packed in. The space is clearly very makeshift for it. And so they've crammed in as many rooms as possible, not for comfort, but just for people to take a rest while they're staying here at this atoll. If you give me a listen check, you might be able to infer what's going on. But it's mostly closed doors where you're at the moment.

56:27

Shawn
2.

56:28

Case
You don't really hear anything particular. In fact, while you can hear shatter through all of it's all very garbled. And there's so much in of it because the walls are fairly thin. And it's not really designed for, like, real privacy that you're still. You just can't make out individual conversations because there's so many conversations going on. But you can continue walking if you want to go back towards sort of the center where there's more of a hub. He keeps walking back towards the center where there's the real hub. All right, so you come to the ramp there, the ramp to sort of get you back onto the main walkway. So you sort of, like, do your little, like, walk along it until you've gone from facing one direction to being perpendicular to the direction you were in before.

57:16

Case
And now at that access point, there is a stairwell down. And it's like staying on that same axis into the Promenade. But you're on this sort of, like, gangplank that runs above it at the moment.

57:28

Shawn
Okay.

57:29

Case
There's windows to look down, but you're currently above it.

57:37

Shawn
I'm supposed to be looking at something. This is where I can just make stuff up.

57:46

Case
Are you going down into it? Are you looking around like, what's your. Your game plan?

57:51

Shawn
No, I'm looking around. I'm curious what's going on there. But I'm also. But I see Shay talking to somebody. It looks a little. No, see, that's why I can't.

58:03

Case
Well, I'm not asking you what you see. I'm asking what you are going to do? Like, are you going to like look down? Are you going to walk downstairs? You're looking from above into the bazaar?

58:14

Shawn
Yes.

58:14

Case
Okay, so you're walking or looking into the bazaar? Give me a spot check.

58:17

Cory
Okay.

58:21

Case
7.

58:23

Cory
Plus.

58:27

Case
13 is your total. You see just a lot of hustle and bustle. There's nothing in particular aside from now that it's been pointed out to you. You wouldn't have noticed this really on just by walking through here. But now that someone else. Well, actually I guess you pointed or saw it earlier. Like the Wookiee and the monk Alamari slaves around there. You also see it's very human dominated. But there are some aliens. There are twi' leks about, and that's probably in a ratio of like 30% to 70% human for the general population that's moving around. And there's some random aliens thrown in there in that mix. But again, for the most part it's humans and twi' leks and a few Bothams. All right, so maybe like 10% Bothams.

59:20

Shawn
So then let me go down there.

59:22

Case
Okay, so you've been sort of like walking along. You come to the next sort of like downward stairwell and you come or you come down to this point and it's just all these people moving around. There's people like good fruit. Good fruit come from Desert World. Desert World. Hydroponics. Makes a lot of sense. Yes.

59:51

Cory
No, no it doesn't.

59:53

Case
Fine rugs. Fine rugs. They all come from great spiders everywhere. Over here, tons of spider rugs. Would you like a spider rug?

01:00:01

Shawn
I don't think I want a spider rug, but it might be inch and talking to the vendor.

01:00:08

Ben
Hey Case, side note, do we have any credits out at all on us?

01:00:15

Case
Not on your person at the moment.

01:00:17

Ben
Do we have any like, do we have like a bank system at all like where we would have access to credit? Are we broke? Yeah, but are we broke?

01:00:26

Case
Unless we don't trust unless you sell something. Okay, all right.

01:00:29

Ben
That's all I want. That's all.

01:00:30

Shawn
Yeah, I'm gonna say. Yeah. So not buying anything.

01:00:35

Case
Oh, no money. Oh, yep. Broke spider rugs. Spider rugs. Would anyone like spider rugs? Giant spider rugs made from fine silk. Fine silk of the spider.

01:00:46

Cory
It could be a blanket for the Wookiee you're getting for your birthday.

01:00:50

Case
You guys aren't aware of this? You're in a different spot.

01:00:52

Shawn
Yeah, and I have no money.

01:00:53

Case
I'm sorry, you have no money? I can't talk to you right now. I'm trying to work. I have five kids.

01:00:57

Cory
Kids.

01:00:59

Shawn
I'll just keep walking.

01:01:01

Cory
Thank you.

01:01:01

Case
Thank you, my five kids. Appreciate you not taking up space. Spider rugs.

01:01:06

Addy
Spider rugs.

01:01:07

Case
Does anyone want spider rugs? You continue moving on, you see a group of mon calamari are all sitting around on a curb, and a speeder truck pulls up.

01:01:24

Cory
Day laborers, mon calamari, day laborers, they all hop in the back. Oh, gosh. What the shit?

01:01:32

Cory
Yeah, you want to know?

01:01:36

Case
There is a Wookiee who is working at a droid shop, and he's taking bent and broken parts and sort of reshifting them back into position. In some cases, he's heating it up. And you can see that you can smell as you walk by, singeing fur as he touches this really hot metal and shifts it back into the right shape before he cools it off and then uses it to sort of, like, continue working on the droid body parts. There's also a lot of these Neimoidian battle droids, by the way. They are all very clear, like, with the exception of a few that are being used as, like, security guards. They are, for the most part, repurposed as protocol droids.

01:02:16

Shawn
So I think I might even strike a conversation with one of these protocol droids, get some information.

01:02:22

Case
Okay, so you walk over to one of the protocol droids. What do you say?

01:02:29

Shawn
So, Jesus, what do I want to know?

01:02:37

Case
While you think about that, we're gonna cut back to the guys who are awake in the studio apartment. So space Akatha Christie, reading and also slurping up water. You're done slurping up water, by the way, Hoof. It's been about a half hour.

01:02:50

Cory
I'm so full, so hydrated.

01:02:53

Ben
Yeah. You feel moist again.

01:02:54

Cory
Oh, yeah.

01:02:55

Ben
Where's that wookie, My moist Gungans?

01:02:59

Cory
Where's that wookie?

01:03:01

Cory
We're not getting a wookie.

01:03:03

Ben
I've had time to think about it. What are we? Like, we're better off getting ourselves equipment so that we can defend ourselves instead of having a Wookiee be able to defend us. If we could each defend ourselves. We can. With a thousand. Two thousand credits that I'm pretty sure we can talk them into. Close to 2000 credits. Probably 1500 would be a safe bet. We can seriously gear ourselves up so that we can take care of ourselves, get back in that ship, and we can fight our way back if we need to, back to the Rebel Alliance. But I'm telling you, there's still something out there that we need to find. There's still. I'm telling you, there's another project besides the Death Star that we need to figure out.

01:03:44

Case
You're right.

01:03:45

Ben
What are we gonna do with a. How's a Wookiee gonna help us with that?

01:03:48

Cory
I don't. Set him into battle first.

01:03:50

Case
Do you speak Wookie?

01:03:52

Cory
Do I?

01:03:54

Ben
No, none of us speak Wookiee.

01:03:58

Case
How the hell are we gonna talk to Wookiee?

01:04:02

Cory
I just don't trust this guy. He said he fixed our ship or is fixing like I. Something suspicious is going on here.

01:04:08

Ben
I'll take care of that. I'll make sure that we get our money for the fixed, shipped, and for the. And for the selling of the two bombs.

01:04:13

Case
Are you guys just bickering over your sleeping friend?

01:04:16

Ben
Yeah, completely.

01:04:18

Addy
Exactly.

01:04:18

Ben
You just sleep. All right, Shut your eyes and shut up.

01:04:23

Case
Foe. Give me a fort. Save seven. It stirs you a little bit. You're not. You're not completely woken up. It hasn't ruined your night's sleep, but you're not as rested as you could because they're waking up about an hour and a half ish into your rest. Son of a bitch. Yeah, your REM cycle's kind of fucked right now. If you're lucky, you can get a full four consecutive in. But right now, you haven't been able to get that sleep in yet. We're going to cut back to Finder. Talking to the droid. The droid is just standing there, and it keeps looking like it's about to turn away when you're, like, you raise your hand to, like, ask a question, and then it, like, it stops and, like, comes back to facing you, and then you say nothing.

01:05:12

Case
And then, like, its eyes flicker and it's about to turn away, and then you raise your hand, its eyes flicker, and it turns back facing you. Still haven't asked it a question. You still haven't really said anything for, like, 15 minutes.

01:05:21

Addy
But every.

01:05:21

Case
At this point, it's now been a solid hour and a half to two hours after you've left the room to go wander about. And this droid has been standing there facing you for about 45 minutes, and he's yet to ask a natural question. It keeps its eyes flicker. It turns away, and just as it's about to be out of sight of you raise your hand as if you're about to ask a question, at which point its eyes flicker and it turns back to face you attentively. And then you pause, and then your hand starts to drop, and. And then it starts its eyes Flicker. And it starts to turn away. And then each time this repeats, the droid cannot feel emotion. But you imagine it's probably getting frustrated.

01:06:03

Cory
Yes, I'm highly entertained.

01:06:07

Shawn
All right, so.

01:06:09

Case
Jesus Christ. So the droid begins to turn away.

01:06:14

Shawn
All right.

01:06:15

Case
His hand goes up again. The droid snaps back into facing him.

01:06:18

Addy
All right.

01:06:19

Case
Excuse me, droid.

01:06:20

Shawn
Where do they repair the ships around here?

01:06:23

Case
Its eyes flicker for a second. Repair work happens on the dock.

01:06:27

Shawn
Can you take me there?

01:06:29

Case
Its eyes flicker for a second. Do you have clearance?

01:06:33

Shawn
I do.

01:06:36

Case
Its eyes flicker for a second, and the hand extends out.

01:06:41

Shawn
There you go.

01:06:45

Case
It's eyes flicker for a second. Pass card given to you by station security chief. You guys were given pass cards by Reggie. So you handed the card. It raises it up to its eyes. There's like a little bit of a moment where it looks like a little laser pointer scans the card and then hands back the card. It's like, I can take you to your ship.

01:07:13

Cory
Thank you.

01:07:14

Shawn
Let's do it. Let's go.

01:07:16

Ben
Five bucks says he leaves us.

01:07:20

Case
But if he does, he'll still be out there because he's not going hyper.

01:07:25

Shawn
I'll take my time leaving.

01:07:26

Cory
Yeah.

01:07:28

Case
The droid turns and makes a gesturing motion and then sort of continues walking through the Provenade. And you follow it. We're gonna cut back over to Thaleas and to Hoof.

01:07:40

Ben
I don't care what you say. We don't need a freaking wookiee.

01:07:44

Cory
He's been asking for a wookiee for, like, five hours.

01:07:46

Cory
I don't care.

01:07:47

Cory
We don't care. Ever since he laid eyes on the wookies. I mean, look at what they're doing to wookiee. If we don't get a wookie, they're gonna put the wookiee to sleep.

01:07:53

Cory
Hoof.

01:07:53

Case
You're snoring. And you keep on being like, hoo. Hooky.

01:07:57

Cory
I mean, look at this. He's wet dreaming about a wookiee.

01:08:00

Ben
All the more reason why we shouldn't have a wookiee. I'm not peeing on a wookie.

01:08:05

Cory
I'll take one for the team. All the water I have, I'll do it for Addie. I mean, I'll do it for show.

01:08:17

Cory
You gonna do it just for show? I'm so hydrated right now.

01:08:22

Case
No diuretics in the system at all.

01:08:27

Cory
No, we're not getting.

01:08:28

Ben
Dude, I would rather have a good vibro weapon and be able to afford to buy our way anywhere we want to go in the galaxy. We have a wookie. All that's gonna do is slow us down.

01:08:38

Case
Okay, at this point, you guys have been bickering for, no joke, about four hours. Do you guys want to do anything while he's still asleep? He's got a little more time before he's been fully rested.

01:08:48

Cory
We should mess with him while he's sleeping.

01:08:51

Ben
I like the way you think.

01:08:52

Addy
Don't tear off his ar.

01:08:59

Cory
Look, he's talking in his sleep again.

01:09:01

Case
He still dreams of wookies. I pee on him.

01:09:04

Cory
We gotta practice. We gotta practice my aim.

01:09:06

Cory
Yeah, you go ahead and pee on.

01:09:08

Ben
Him so he knows what a Wookiee feels like. I'm gonna go look for weapons.

01:09:12

Case
Okay, so you go out. Meanwhile, Hu Fengdeng, not one to understand jokes and sarcasm, starts peeing.

01:09:23

Cory
Hate is gonna hate. It's the best day of my life. I don't even want.

01:09:31

Case
I don't know. There's no, like, smell check in this game, so. So we'll give it a search. Check for failures as he passes out or, pardon me, as he walks out.

01:09:40

Ben
10.

01:09:41

Case
Okay. It smells particularly of ammonia.

01:09:47

Ben
Dude.

01:09:48

Cory
Asparagus.

01:09:49

Case
But you'll note as you walk out that for just a moment, foe acts like he's breathing even better than normal.

01:10:00

Cory
Best day of my life.

01:10:04

Case
So you walk out and you walk out into the main hallway. What are you doing now? So you're gonna go walk towards the promenade?

01:10:10

Ben
Yeah, I'm go see if I can find Shay.

01:10:13

Case
Okay, you're gonna go find Shay or not the weapons or anything like that?

01:10:18

Ben
I'm gonna go find Shay.

01:10:19

Case
Okay, so you try to retrace your steps to get back to the specific hallway that led you to Fossa.

01:10:25

Ben
Right.

01:10:27

Case
Give me a survival check. Oh, 20. Okay. You are able to remember accurately how many spokes you walked past, like, what section you came from. So you follow through and you walk onto that hallway and you walk past that familiar spot where Hoof passed out.

01:10:48

Ben
Awesome.

01:10:53

Case
As you walk or as you're walking, you come to the station where Reggie was before, and there's no one there. And then beyond that is a locked door.

01:11:05

Ben
Let's see. All right, well, can't go anywhere further. Let. Did Shane tell us where the bar is? He just told us if it was a bar.

01:11:17

Case
He said what section it was in. It was in the same section as the.

01:11:22

Cory
I believe it was the woods.

01:11:23

Case
No, no, it was just Pat. No, it was just.

01:11:27

Cory
Put him down, man.

01:11:29

Case
It was just past the Mon Calamari slave pits and near where, like, the protection trading was.

01:11:37

Ben
All right, I'm going to head to the bar.

01:11:39

Case
Okay. You make your way over to the bar. These are fairly long distances that you're all walking, so it takes you like an hour to walk there. So at this point, we've gotten to the point where foe is waking up. He's gotten about six hours of sleep.

01:11:52

Ben
In him and a mouthful of piss.

01:11:56

Cory
Dude, somebody pissed on you.

01:11:57

Ben
Wasn't me.

01:11:59

Case
He's actually feeling okay about this. His culture doesn't really have any sort of affront to that kind of thing.

01:12:04

Announcer
What?

01:12:05

Cory
What's wrong with you?

01:12:06

Addy
I got a gas mask, man.

01:12:11

Case
Speaking of which, Addie, you're gonna probably want to subtract about two days worth of the list that I gave you before you had about three weeks worth of gas containers. And then hoof. I imagine just after he peed on you. Just stood there and stared at you until you woke up. Morning, sunshine.

01:12:29

Cory
Did he put his pants back on? You put your pants back on. Not again.

01:12:39

Ben
Sorry.

01:12:41

Cory
No wonder you guys are such good friends.

01:12:43

Cory
You said you wouldn't be back till later.

01:12:50

Ben
How.

01:12:51

Addy
Where's Felius and Fender?

01:12:53

Cory
I think he's getting your wookie.

01:12:55

Addy
Oh my God. Seriously?

01:12:56

Cory
I wasn't supposed to tell you.

01:13:00

Cory
I'm so excited.

01:13:01

Addy
What are we gonna name it?

01:13:02

Ben
I don't know.

01:13:03

Cory
Something about guns.

01:13:05

Cory
What?

01:13:06

Cory
That's what he said he wanted to name it.

01:13:08

Addy
Something about guns.

01:13:09

Cory
Yeah, he said he was gonna go get guns. I assume that was the Wookiee.

01:13:13

Cory
No, we gotta find him.

01:13:18

Case
You guys head out to go find him. I.

01:13:26

Ben
So.

01:13:32

Cory
Oh.

01:13:35

Case
Failures.

01:13:37

Cory
I'm gonna twice for the wookie.

01:13:41

Case
The scan card buzzes for a second and there's an indicator to like plug it into like a wall communicator. Okay. I guess it's a double for a pager. Yeah. So you punch it in and Shay pops up. It's like we've completed the repairs.

01:13:58

Ben
Oh, fantastic. Shay, what is the bill?

01:14:03

Case
Well, it turns out that you had an abundance of well organized towels on there of fine quality.

01:14:11

Cory
Oh, you found it here for some win.

01:14:14

Case
It was fantastic. You've never seen such well organized.

01:14:19

Addy
And can we trade service?

01:14:21

Ben
You're not with me.

01:14:22

Cory
Shut the fuck up.

01:14:24

Addy
Nope.

01:14:25

Case
Now tell me, I forget what fake name you gave.

01:14:30

Cory
I did too.

01:14:32

Case
If you settled on a particular deal that we had argued, I believe it was 300 and a Wookiee.

01:14:40

Ben
The towels change everything, don't they, Shay?

01:14:43

Case
I mean, they were of good quality. I'll even give you three. 350 and a Wookiee.

01:14:47

Ben
350 and a Wookiee. What about no Wookiee and 2,000 credits.

01:14:53

Case
I don't know how I can do that necessarily. I can do 1500 credits.

01:14:59

Ben
How many towels were there, Shay?

01:15:01

Case
There was an abundance. There were so many, it would take someone hours to fold and organize. So many.

01:15:06

Ben
In fact, it did. That's worth quite a bit, Shay. Especially this.

01:15:12

Case
That attention to detail I will give you is worth quite a bit. Perhaps with a diplomacy role, you might influence it further.

01:15:22

Ben
19.

01:15:24

Case
Well, it's hard to argue with a 19 in diplomacy when talking about. Well, folded towels.

01:15:33

Cory
That's right, we are.

01:15:34

Case
You have argued very well.

01:15:37

Addy
The that nears years at space gap just paid off for us.

01:15:44

Case
The thread count on these is fantastic. And I cannot argue with the craftsmanship of the fold and presentation. I should have no trouble bartering this for, well, let's say. How about 1700 credits? You got a deal. 1700 credits it is.

01:16:01

Addy
No Wookiee.

01:16:02

Case
Correct? Correct. Okay. I can throw a crippled Mon calamari at pass. That's fantastic.

01:16:10

Cory
That's on top of the 1700.

01:16:12

Addy
You know what?

01:16:13

Case
He's not there. Don't listen to voices in your head. No, he's not conveying it.

01:16:21

Cory
You said let's just.

01:16:22

Ben
I agree. I'll say past. We have a deal, but let's just be friends for later.

01:16:28

Case
Okay, so 1700 credits. It's in the shared pool that all of your cards can account.

01:16:34

Ben
Thank you so much, Shay.

01:16:36

Case
Very well. And when you're leaving, just make sure to tap it into the computer and then withdraw it into some other form of conveyance that you might have.

01:16:45

Ben
Understood, Shay, can you tell where I am at the moment?

01:16:48

Case
It looks like you are just above the Mon calamari pit, so not far from Ocastles.

01:16:54

Ben
Fantastic. Hey, Shay, what's the average price for a Wookiee nowadays?

01:16:59

Case
Wookiee slavery typically runs in the ballpark of 800 credits. Mmm, 12 if you want someone who's actually healthy.

01:17:10

Ben
That's a lot of credits.

01:17:11

Case
You've gotta check the teeth.

01:17:13

Cory
Is that what. Hey, I just got 1700 credits on my card. No, I should go to the Wookiee rescue. Yes, it's really cutting, but I will kill you. I will kill you. I will gut you into real life. Dare to count, bitches.

01:17:40

Case
Better hurry down kessels and drink seventeen hundred dollars worth. Or 1,700 credits worth of beer.

01:17:45

Ben
All right.

01:17:48

Cory
All right.

01:17:48

Ben
Thank you so much, Shay. Pleasure doing business with you. Hopefully we can do some more at a future date. You are an honorable man.

01:17:56

Case
It's always a pleasure.

01:17:57

Ben
Okay, Fantastic.

01:18:00

Cory
All Right.

01:18:00

Ben
I'm heading to the bar. Hopefully there'll be some games there that I can gamble on and make our money back from the Wookie we're about to buy.

01:18:10

Cory
Don't forget all the existence.

01:18:11

Case
Okay, we're gonna cut over to Finn Deer, who has sort of wandered behind this droid into the loading dock where your ship is parked and work is being done. Okay. Shay is no longer there, although he probably was there to supervise some of the work at some point. And for the most part, it's just Neimoidian battle droids just walking around. But they're all doing. They're in, like, mechanics gear. They're hauling toolboxes, and some of them even have overalls on. And they're just doing their work. And you've been led to your ship.

01:18:52

Shawn
Droid. So what is your name, Droid?

01:18:58

Case
His eyes flicker. CCN1.

01:19:02

Shawn
Oh, CCN1. Okay. Any relation to CCN2?

01:19:07

Case
His eyes flicker. There is only one central computer.

01:19:10

Shawn
Oh, that makes sense. Is there any way to view the data bank, see what work's been done on our ship?

01:19:21

Case
His eyes flicker. You would have to oversee the ship's onboard computer yourself.

01:19:28

Shawn
Can you take me to that computer?

01:19:31

Case
It gestures its hand forward at the ship.

01:19:34

Shawn
Oh, thank you.

01:19:38

Case
So you, like, walk on the ship to go check out things?

01:19:40

Shawn
Yep.

01:19:40

Cory
Cool.

01:19:41

Case
We're gonna cut back over to foe and Hoof. Where were you guys going through Hit three Opa.

01:19:47

Addy
Gungan style, I said.

01:19:49

Cory
And they shot it down.

01:19:50

Addy
I've heard it several times.

01:19:52

Ben
Yeah.

01:19:53

Cory
At least one person.

01:19:54

Addy
We just need to catch up to failures because I want to make sure we're getting this.

01:19:58

Cory
Where are we?

01:20:00

Case
You guys are at this point now crossing the Mon Calamari trading pits, and you see in the distance a sign that says o'. Kessels. And we're gonna cut over to Phelias. Who's in o'? Kessels?

01:20:17

Ben
I am.

01:20:18

Case
Yes. And you've gotten a drink.

01:20:19

Cory
Woo.

01:20:20

Case
And it's delicious, right?

01:20:22

Cory
Yep.

01:20:23

Addy
How much does that drink?

01:20:25

Shawn
Nothing.

01:20:25

Case
Yeah, 1700 credits. No, it cost, like, three credits.

01:20:31

Ben
All right. I'm looking for any kind of, like, gambling that may be going on.

01:20:35

Case
You can see lots of people are doing, like, different kinds of games in this place. Okay. There's dice games going on, and some people are playing pazak.

01:20:44

Ben
Oh, let's play dice games.

01:20:47

Case
Okay. You walk over to two bothans who are playing a dice game.

01:20:58

Ben
Hey, you guys got room for an extra?

01:21:01

Case
Why?

01:21:03

Ben
Cause I got credits to spare.

01:21:05

Case
Oh, that sounds good.

01:21:07

Ben
Good.

01:21:07

Cory
Let's get it on, baby.

01:21:09

Case
Well, we're playing seven, die. Eleven, die. That's it.

01:21:25

Cory
So, craps.

01:21:26

Cory
All right, cool.

01:21:30

Case
If I roll, you have to drink. And if I roll again, you owe me a credit.

01:21:36

Ben
Oh, I like this game. If I win, what happens if.

01:21:40

Case
If you drink, you don't owe me a credit. Drink fast enough, and you don't owe me a credit. Drink slow enough, you owe me another credit.

01:21:50

Ben
Who determines if it's fast enough?

01:21:54

Case
If my dice rolls again, a 7, 11, or a doubles.

01:22:03

Cory
Okay, I'm in.

01:22:04

Ben
Let's do it.

01:22:06

Case
Okay, so we're cut. Back over to foe and hoof. Coming into Okessels. You see a broken, destroyed man sitting with two bothams.

01:22:20

Ben
Who?

01:22:22

Cory
Why? Are you gonna be broken?

01:22:25

Case
No, no. You're basically at a wash at this point. You've actually covered the cost of your drink, but you haven't really made any profits.

01:22:33

Ben
I got gambling skills.

01:22:37

Cory
I got good gambling skills.

01:22:38

Case
At the point when they walk in, you haven't made any profit. All right, so they walk in. You're up three credits.

01:22:44

Addy
He's Gungan. He has long strides, so it wasn't that long after.

01:22:48

Ben
All right, you just started.

01:22:50

Addy
I'm just, like, running to catch up with him.

01:22:52

Case
Nah, you're a few hands in.

01:22:53

Ben
Okay, a few hands in.

01:22:54

Cory
That's good.

01:22:55

Ben
Not even an hour in.

01:22:56

Case
Come.

01:22:57

Cory
Come on.

01:22:57

Ben
You gotta give me time to win the game.

01:23:00

Cory
Phillies.

01:23:01

Addy
What are you doing?

01:23:02

Ben
I'm doubling our money. You want a wookie or not?

01:23:09

Addy
I don't know if I really want to rely on gambling skills.

01:23:14

Ben
How do you think I survive so long on the outer rim without my gambling skills?

01:23:20

Case
So there's, like, Hollows playing in this. In this bar, and they all blink out for a second. And announcement pops up on the screen. We have a special address coming from the Emperor himself. A special address coming from the Emperor himself. We interrupt this Hollow for a message from the Emperor, and the visage of Palpatine shows up. And Hollow in front, or pretty much all over the place bar. He's hooded. You can see his mangled face trying to be covered up by it all. But in a weird way, you almost feel like he's doing it for show. He's making a point of showing how mangled his face has been by electrical burns that happened somehow. And he begins.

01:24:14

Case
My citizens, since the time so long ago when I restored our Republic from the chaos of the Clone Wars, I have not been forced to speak to you with such sorrow. Scarif, a center of loyal scientists, is no more. Jedha, a center of faith is no more. Lastly, and this may be the worst blow. Alderaan is no more. Alderaan, a center of prosperity and culture. Without rival rebel terrorists have found a way to destroy planets with a form of heavy barrage weapons scavenged from the separatists of the past. Wars this affront will not be tolerated. Rebel terrorists have murdered thousands of Imperial troops, Stolen weapons and vessels. And now they have brought their war to the very people of our Union. To my people. Listen to me, citizens. I have been a patient man.

01:25:35

Case
I have allowed the cracks in the Republic that have long endangered my beloved people. Because I cared so much that I allowed it to linger on. And did my best to preserve it no longer. In this time of crisis, I have been forced to bear a greater burden. The well meaning but inefficient Senate has had their last session. The Imperial Fleet and regional governors will now report directly to me. With no tired old bureaucracy to delay action, the rebel terrorists cannot be tolerated. We will move swiftly. We must move swiftly. From this day on, no man who associates with a known rebel shall be spared. From this day on, the Empire strikes back. Drink, Dick.

01:26:41

Cory
You son of a bitch.

01:26:45

Case
I need more beer. Guys. Give me listen checks.

01:26:54

Ben
25 for me as well.

01:26:55

Case
Oh, wow. You guys did well. So, everyone. Well. So Phelius and Foe both hear the sound of vibro blades being drawn.

01:27:09

Shawn
That's the sound of a Gungan.

01:27:10

Case
Count him out.

01:27:11

Shawn
That's the sound of a Gungan shitting his pants.

01:27:16

Ben
Sorry.

01:27:19

Cory
Oh, shit.

01:27:19

Ben
It's about to go down.

01:27:21

Shawn
All right.

01:27:21

Ben
Wish we had a Wookiee.

01:27:23

Shawn
Yeah.

01:27:24

Cory
You think he could have tore the arms off of both of those guys over there?

01:27:30

Case
So with that, would Phelius, Foe and Hoof give me initiative rolls, please. So people start drawing their weapons. They all look at you and you feel that they're cognizant of who you are and what they're about to do. Sorry, what was the order again?

01:27:54

Ben
I got a one.

01:27:55

Addy
I got a 14, and then Cory got 16.

01:28:00

Cory
Wanna go?

01:28:00

Ben
Corey? That is your real name.

01:28:04

Addy
You'll never know.

01:28:05

Cory
That's what you should have given the name as. My name's Ben. That's like a human name. That makes sense. Old Ben Kenobi. Ben Kenobi.

01:28:22

Case
All right, Hoof, you didn't notice. Foe, you have a moment to act? Because Hoop did not catch the noise and did not pick up on people starting to sort of look at you and draw weapons. Nice.

01:28:41

Cory
So I want to.

01:28:44

Shawn
And.

01:28:51

Addy
Well, first. First I want to spot how many people are approaching Us menacingly at the J.

01:28:58

Case
It's a fairly packed bar and a lot of people look kind of freaked out by the message that they just heard and are a little suspicious of outsiders.

01:29:13

Shawn
Can I.

01:29:14

Addy
Can I cast force empathy on like the entire bar at once or is that, like, too much?

01:29:20

Case
What I would say is you can do a. Use the force empathy roll to enhance the diplomacy roll. So do the force empathy first. But because you're trying to do it for a lot of people, I'm going to say you have to do you actually have to back it up with. With something. So you lose two vitality points for the. For doing that. But your words carry extra weight as you give a diplomacy roll. So give it with advantage.

01:29:52

Addy
So that's two rolls.

01:29:53

Case
Yes. And take the. The best of the two.

01:29:56

Addy
Oh, well, that one's not going to be the best one.

01:29:59

Case
Oh, my God. What's up?

01:30:05

Addy
It's two.

01:30:06

Case
Oh, Addie, the two is your best roll.

01:30:08

Addy
Yeah.

01:30:09

Cory
Holy. Yeah, I know, right?

01:30:12

Cory
I should not have peed on him earlier.

01:30:14

Ben
You just lost your chance at a.

01:30:16

Case
So you start trying to talk, but, like, all it sounds like is just like gassy noises coming out of your. Your face mask. Yeah. Basically Felis. You have a moment to react because you. You heard them. Do you try saying anything. Do you? Like, people are clearly freaked out and they see you as like a weird outsider that they don't recognize.

01:30:42

Ben
I am going to use. I'm gonna say something diplomacy.

01:30:48

Case
Yeah. So give. Give me the roll and say what you're gonna say because that.

01:30:52

Ben
Okay, everybody, I don't know what you think about what's going on, but we are just here to trade and make some money with the rest of you.

01:31:04

Case
What was your role?

01:31:06

Ben
It was a love it.

01:31:13

Case
Okay. A couple people kind of back off the. The bothams that were sitting at the table who had, like, started to like, brace themselves kind of relax. There's one guy at the bar who does pull out a vibro blade. God, there's always one guy.

01:31:33

Ben

Case
But a hand of a person who's sitting at the bar, who that right hand that's missing a trigger finger and a thumb, grabs the guy by the shoulder and forces him back or like his back against the bar and he moves his left hander, like, brace him as he pulls out his gun, sticks it in his face and goes, you're no good to me alive. Fires the trigger.
