Hey, Nerf Herners, I'm Matty Thomas. Thanks for joining us for another session of the Scruffy nerf Herners, our D20 Star wars adventure. Don't forget, you can check out all our social media on our website, certainpov.com while you're there, you can find all the different ways to subscribe. And be sure to share that with your friends and family and other nerdy friends or, you know, vague acquaintances that might enjoy a D20 Star wars game podcast. All of that again, is on our website, certainpov.com so let's introduce the cast of characters we have here. I am a Force Adept Kel Dor named Fosho, which is basically a Force user light. I'm not a full on Jedi. I got a staff like Chiranim away from Rogue One. Ben.
00:52
I am playing the role of Falis Vag killer. I am a human fringer who's kind of like a survivalist and kind of survives by his wits and common knowledge of odd and useful things.
01:03
And then, Corypatham.
01:05
What's going on? Hu flung dung here. And I'm Gun, and I'm a soldier currently under the influence.
01:12
And then our newest member of the group, who we're a little unsure of,.
01:16
But you know, we found in real life, too.
01:19
That's true.
01:20
That's hurtful, man.
01:21
That's true.
01:22
J Mike.
01:24
Hey.
01:24
Hey, guys. I am Zabrak. Tenure. I am a tech specialist and I am a Zabrak.
01:29
Wait, you're a Zabrak? Tenure. Or you're Stimbolt? Tenure.
01:33
Stimbolt.
01:34
Dinor.
01:34
In real life, he's human. J Mike, don't tell anyone.
01:40
And now you understand our reservation.
01:42
And then last but definitely not the least, we have the God of our game, our Dungeon Master, who's painting the story along the Starways case.
01:52
Oh, yes. Well, thank you for that, guys. Sadly, Sean's not here tonight, but we can pour one out for our heart.
02:00
He lives on in our hearts.
02:03
One for you. But can I have everyone roll a D20 to recap what happened last time?
02:08
Oh, God, I don't even know what happened last time. Oh, yes. 18. I got a five.
02:12
Oh, yes.
02:12
18.
02:14
Did you really got a two?
02:15
I got a five.
02:17
Wait, did you both have 18? Okay, let's get a roll off.
02:20
Yeah.
02:21
Roll off, roll off.
02:23
Roll off.
02:25
Rolled off the table.
02:26
15.
02:27
Oh. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah.
02:28
6. Why do I always get these?
02:33
Well, this shouldn't be too hard.
02:35
We literally just recorded the fire, so.
02:38
I literally wasn't paying attention. Okay, how many mulligans do you get on this?
02:44
All right, guys, help me out here. Okay? So we had to escape from Bespin because of reasons the guy who was fronting us all this money while were there lost the city to Lando Calrissian. And Lando was wanting to get everybody associated with this guy, so we had to roll out. So in the process, we fled. And in Slippery Jim's ship, the Cosmopolitan Swift.
03:14
Yes.
03:15
Right.
03:16
Okay. So in doing so, we discovered somebody was still or somebody new was on the ship. And went down to the bulkhead to confront him. Turns out it was stembolt manure. And you can correct them, you know, no, there's no point.
03:36
You should no use intimidate.
03:42
And we kind of determined that he's weird, but he's okay. He's not for us. He's not against us. So we're bringing him along with us on our adventures. We are. We flew out into an asteroid field to a damaged Imperial communications station, in which point we are going to be kind of fixing it and inserting some code of our own in order to listen into the Imperial holonet and also to inject our own messages into the Imperial holonet. So we landed in this. On this asteroid, and we are on the. On the space station about to. We just got in and have to go in and kind of do our repairs and do our stuff and split off into teams and survive.
04:30
Yeah, that's pretty much it.
04:31
Yeah.
04:33
Rebels.
04:34
Rebels. Rebels. Stinky manure, guys. It's dark.
04:45
Oh, I got a flashlight.
04:46
Oh, we got flashlights on our gun.
04:48
Turn our flashlight on.
04:49
I got my blaster flashlight.
04:51
Blaster flash. What about you? What are you gonna.
04:54
You gonna. You gonna stand there in the dark?
04:56
He's gonna make two flashlights.
04:58
He does blend in.
05:01
Reggie clicks on the light at the end of his blaster rifle and shines it around the room. You guys all do the same, apparently. And Reggie goes, looks like everything's sealed off. There's fortunately some ATM here, but can't say what's beyond this room. We got a comm link over here. It looks like if someone could patch in, maybe. Maybe they can contact the main station's computer and see what they can do about, I don't know, restoring atmospheric conditions beyond these rooms.
05:35
Do it. Eleven.
05:40
So you. You go beep, boop, beep, boop, beep. And then, you know what? Stinky men are gonna help you essentially activate sort of like a remote access point for it. So the desktop operating system for the Satellite's computer pops up.
05:58
God, I hope it's not Windows 95.
06:00
I hope it's gonna be this stuff.
06:04
It's a little. It's the Star screensaver. At first you think you're looking out into space, but that doesn't quite make sense. And he moves the mouse and all of a sudden it clears up and you see the array of icons for the. The GUI control system.
06:21
Oh, what does this button do?
06:25
All right, we need to get life support systems up and running on as much of this place as we possibly can. What does it look like? You think you can get that going?
06:34
Hoof?
06:35
Well, let me take a look at this real quick.
06:38
Yeah, do that. Yes, you may. Yes, you can roll dice.
06:46
Well, I see a 16, so I'm looking around.
06:52
So you're clicking around and you open a folder that gives you map access to the station and you're able to bring up sort of like diagnostics and it shows like red X's where there's been hull breaches. Clearly the areas close to you have all been sealed off because of a loss of atmosphere in those spots.
07:12
Nice.
07:12
Reggie, come here.
07:14
What do you think of this?
07:15
Looks like atmosphere has been breached at all these doors. He points to the three doors that are in the room that you can see easily. And he points on the screen and indicates that. All right, this way goes up to the main computer terminal. We can do some access from here, but we're not going to be able to do enough. We need to get directly in, otherwise what's the point? Right this way goes to the engines. We're going to need to get some power on, otherwise there won't be very much. There's only so much access you can have. And some of the things we need, we're going to need all the systems up for it. And this ways over to security. There's definitely some drones here. There's definitely some outside turrets that might shoot at the Cosmopolitan Swift.
08:01
So we're going to need to make sure that those aren't active either, otherwise we're all going to die.
08:07
Can I do a search check or like a, like just far seed or something like that to make sure that like there isn't bad deterioration in the station, Like, I don't know, like my dock nests or something like that?
08:19
Yes, yes, you may. I'm gonna say. So I just like listed three paths, so I'm gonna say each one's a different check.
08:25
Okay, so the first one is 21, and then the second one is 16, and then the last one is 15.
08:40
Through the force, you extend your consciousness and it's not so much seeing everything, it's actually just knowing everything. Along that path, you can feel yourself and your spirit just rush along it and inspect everything. And from that you know that the route to the main computer is actually fairly safe. There hasn't been a lot of deterioration. There hasn't been that much damage. There's been some breaches to the actual venting systems, but there are shut offs that could be engaged even from here. That could make it fairly safe to travel. However, the other two paths you don't see as clearly. You can see that the structures themselves are intact, but you don't have the same sense of knowing everything.
09:22
In both cases, you have a clear understanding that the atmospheres can be re engaged, but you're not certain what the actual conditions of these are beyond just that. It is able to hold an atmosphere with the right engaging of airlocks and safety precautions.
09:42
So hoof and sticky over there. Just want to look the passage to the main terminal. We can secure some of it. So go ahead and take care of it. Was the airlocks for that, right?
09:57
Yeah, it's airlocks and emergency breach suppressions that can be engaged like the atmosphere has leaked out. But you could shut off certain air valves and refill those chambers with oxygen.
10:11
Sure.
10:12
So give me computer use checks. Who has the higher computer use skill? I think he does.
10:18
I have a nine.
10:19
Yeah, mine's only a five.
10:21
Okay, so both roll. If you roll a computer used check, and if you beat a 10, you're assisting him and giving him a bonus. Nice. Okay, so big money, come on, no whammies. 16 Plus nine. 21. Okay. Yeah. So he starts working at it and he seems to have trouble locating certain subfolders on it. And you're like, oh, that one's labeled bots. That's clearly the actual important one. And you work the two of you in tandem with him, helping you spot all the right things to click through and which program files to go into are able to bring up all the controls for these safety precautions. The hatch is shut. And you can hear this rumble as oxygen fills in the chambers beyond the three doors that are in the room. Room There.
11:16
Nice. Great job, guys.
11:17
What's going to work?
11:19
Teamwork.
11:21
We did a thing.
11:25
All right, guys. Now that pressure has been re engaged beyond those doors should open with just a base of command. We won't have to do much hacking involved. That was good work, guys. Anytime. Tenure. Not so bad, are you not so bad.
11:41
It's not so good either.
11:43
Yeah, but I thought the same thing about you failures.
11:46
Yeah, I'm still not very.
11:47
We all have.
11:48
You're always. You're always just gonna be a dirty Malmon to me.
11:53
Thank you.
11:56
All right. Now, I believe that slippery GM suggested that hoof, you, me and Kaz head to security. Obviously we have a bit of proficiency with security measures. You can do some stuff to disengage any weapons failius. You and Stimbol, you two seem to be pretty good engineers. You got the ship going again with the engines before. And he was working on the engines before we stole him away from his home. I do apologize about that. But you understand that if we returned you, they would shoot you dad first thing.
12:31
Oh, it's all good. Trust me.
12:33
Okay.
12:34
Just as long as you understand were between a rock and a hard place. I do not encourage people being taken away from their families and raised. That's a terrible way to raise a stormtrooper. You should be cloning them. Sorry.
12:45
He's making an excellent point.
12:46
He really is. Sorry. Okay. Sorry. I don't even know if I actually believe that. Just the programming.
12:53
Ugh.
12:54
Sorry. Pigo. Garth. Hue and foe.
13:02
Why do you get to go with Pico?
13:06
Pico. Pico, I know you're upset that you don't have someone who you know can actually protect you. But it'll be fine. We'll be okay.
13:13
I healed Pigo. Let's just remember that.
13:18
Sure Pigo can't come with us? We'll take Pigo. Damn it, Pigo. Now is not the time for that.
13:26
Piggo's shot.
13:26
Let's remember, you gotta be held on. I think I speak for Pigo when I say that we're okay with going with the person who has psychic powers.
13:35
Fine.
13:36
Suck it.
13:37
Fucking trump card.
13:41
You guys go head on up to the main computer there. Just hope you end up alone with the Force. Hey, Healer, make sure that our two skill monkeys do okay. All right?
13:52
You got it.
13:53
Okay. Thank you very much. It's important to our party roles.
13:57
Wow, Reggie. All of a sudden he's got real meta.
14:05
All right, so we're gonna start with. We're gonna start with Thaleas and Stimbolt heading to the engines.
14:14
You actually got that guy shot?
14:17
We were being overrun by enemies. By the Imperials. It was crazy. Dude, you should have seen it. There was like 30 of them and it was just me and Piggo holding out. All we had was a blaster for each of us.
14:33
They made it sound like you shot him.
14:35
I definitely didn't shoot him. He was shot by an Imperial. We barely made it out alive. It was amazing. I saved his life.
14:43
You guys give me spot checks as you walk down this dark hallway with just your flashlights illuminating things. 21 3.
14:55
Jesus Christ.
14:58
There are astromech droids who seem to be in shutdown standby modes. They've got small lights indicating that they still have power but they aren't actively responding to anything.
15:09
Okay.
15:10
You keep bumping into them stimballed as you're walking. You're not really looking where you go. You're kind of like checking the ceiling. And then all of a sudden you like walk crotch first into an R2D2 type astromech unit.
15:22
You stop trying to hump the R2s.
15:25
Tell me how to live my life.
15:26
It squishes a little on the urine soaked pants that you're wearing.
15:31
Oh, it's disgusting. Hey, all right. Come on. Pay attention man. I'm trying to. We gotta survive because when the electricity comes. But when the power goes back on, these droids are coming back on too. And they're not going to like us.
15:43
Fine.
15:45
You come to a corridor and you. Or come to the end of this corridor to the next set of doors. Just a button press to open it if you want. Boop. The doors open up and it is a sucked out into space. The Finn. Thanks for tuning in guys.
16:09
Till you do next week when we have whole new characters.
16:14
No. The doors open up and you see the engines. They are pretty much all in shutdown mode. There's some emergency power. It's got those red lights going for seeing with minimal power being expended. But everything is inert. There's no hum of engines or any sort of power flowing in a substantial way.
16:38
We'll spot check, see if I see anything real obvious.
16:43
Repeat that spot check to see if I see anything real obvious. Sure, go for it.
16:49
17.
16:51
You see some real obvious things obviously. Yeah. You see that there's some basic controls to sort of set the engines going again. It's a multi step sequence that is going to require more than one person to engage. This was actually designed to prevent just a single person from turning on at once. But you see them and they're not weird engine types. So you think you could engage it given your background working and this kind of stuff.
17:24
Alright. Hey stinky. You say that you were repairing the ship, that you were on the ship to repair it, Right. So you know how to fix stuff?
17:34
Yeah.
17:34
All right. Cool. Well, we're going to need a hand here. This is a two person job to get these engines back online.
17:40
All right?
17:40
So I'm going to need you to go over there and wiggle the flux capacitor. And then while I prime the pump of the.
17:54
I was just going to let you go because you. I had assumed you were going to ask me what the next thing was, but then you just kept going. So he's going to go find the pump and you have to wiggle the flux capacitor. And then finally, after locking all those into place, there is a final circuit to close which is going to require a tremendous effort from two people to crank it into the proper position. And then two switches on the opposite side of the room engaged at the same time.
18:19
All right, you ready?
18:21
Let's twist this. So give me some repair checks from both of you.
18:27
Eight, roll 23.
18:30
So you're jiggling it, but it doesn't quite come into.
18:32
What are you doing with that capacitor?
18:33
I'm trying.
18:34
Okay, for crying out loud, I'm coming over to help you.
18:37
Okay? You're gonna give him help?
18:40
19 And 8 is 27.
18:42
Oh my God. Yeah, you like just, you like walk over, you grab it, you like shift it and go right in and it's like there.
18:48
God, I thought you said you knew what you were doing, man. Come on, get in the game.
18:54
The ship shakes a little bit. Not from anything that you guys have done. It seems to be like a pitter patter of things striking it. And over comms you hear, oh, sorry my friends. We blocked a shot that was coming your way, but little bits of debris hit. I hope. Are you guys feeling that? I do feel.
19:14
Everything's fine. Everything's under control.
19:19
You son of a bitch. Alright, my short tongue friend. As long as things are okay, everything's good. So yeah, like a bunch of small asteroids, like just the debris like pelted the satellite. And damage, not a lot of damage occurred, but it caused a rattling through that everyone felt okay. So you've just like shown him how it's done on that one or on that thing while you were priming the pump and he was trying to jiggle the flux capacitor. But that's not going to work anymore. You had to do it yourself.
19:58
All right buddy, seriously, what's your story? Like you clearly don't know engineering. What's your deal?
20:06
But I do know engineering.
20:09
Give him a diplomacy check, sissy.
20:13
Don't just look at me weird. Make that roll, bitch.
20:17
Only makes you that much more suspicious. That's the creepiest.
20:22
But I do know engineering.
20:29
25.
20:30
What?
20:31
Yeah, he does. He knows engineering.
20:32
Yeah, he, like, talks some talk, and he, like. He fakes it pretty well if he doesn't. Or he might actually know some stuff. I mean, like, at this point, he's probably a technician for, like, working on ships while they're docked. Whereas you're used to, like, fairly crazy circumstances of being, like, out on the Outer Rim when your ship breaks down, you have to repair it in flight. Okay.
20:51
All right, well, you know the basics, all right, but we're gonna have to, like, step up a little bit. We're in crazy situation here. It's not gonna go by the book. You're gonna have to just kind of trust me on this and just go with your gut and make this work, all right? Or we're gonna die out here.
21:09
Gotta find all these rules. All right, let's do this.
21:11
All right, both of you guys, give me strength checks to get the circuit into position.
21:17
16, 14.
21:21
Okay. Do you have any modifier on your strength?
21:23
I don't have anyone. Okay.
21:24
Nah, he's a weakling douche. But that's enough for both of you guys. You're able to sort of lock the circuit into place, and it now needs to be engaged. All right, you guys go do it.
21:35
Get down one knee. I didn't bring her in.
21:40
Still looking at your feet.
21:44
You guys head over, and you both click it into place. And that's where we're gonna cut over to. We're gonna cut to foe, traveling with Pigo and Garthe down to the main computer. Now, it's really weird when you engage the door and it opens up and there's just some, like, very dim blue lighting to prevent anyone from, like, walking into an area that, if you stepped into it would destroy things. Basically, it's just either exhaust vents or very sensitive computer pieces. Aside from that, it's very dark. How good is your vision, by the way?
22:19
Well, I do have good low light vision.
22:21
Oh. So, yeah, so you actually see fairly well. The other two are rocking their flashlights everywhere. It's actually kind of screwing with you every now and then where it goes from bright to dark to bright to dark. But aside from that, you're still able to make out pretty well where you're going. I won't say you have to make any kind of spot checks or anything to prevent yourself from bumping into stuff. Likewise, there are inert astromech droids. But what is really weird to you is having expanded your mind. And I don't think you've really done it as precisely as you did just now. This is the first time where your Force powers have been used to so fully explore a single space. And so well that you know this intimately. Like you not only were there already in your mind, like you actually were.
23:07
The hallway that you're walking in and it's. It's almost a rewarding feeling. You get a force point, by the way, for that.
23:15
Sweet. I feel the burn. And alive.
23:22
I feel so alive.
23:26
So you continue down this hallway. Piggo. I agree this is a tense moment here. We. I'm sorry, my friend. We've always tried to keep our heads down and stay relatively safe before we walked into any kind of rebel. We're not fighters. The fact that were on an evacuation ship when the Empire came, that was pretty scary. We hate the Empire. But my friend, I've never been in a situation like this, and neither has Pigo, where one wrong turn and we could die.
24:17
I know we're always gonna experience fear in these moments, but the cause is worth it. So I've already seen the path ahead and it's clear.
24:27
Yeah, it's just. It's so much, so much. My friend. And Pico and I are both just. We just never expected to be in a situation. We've always been ground people. Like ships. We go on the holonets. We're slicers, we're techs. I'm scared.
24:57
The good thing is I know you too have already done so much for the rebellion. But there is so much more that we need to do to be able to win this fight. We dealt a great blow to the Empire. But there is still so much left to this fight. We need just a little bit more courage from people like you and Piggo and Failius and Hoof and nobody really cares about manure. But the rest of us are definitely in this fight with you and here to help you.
25:27
Alright. Thank you.
25:32
Yeah.
25:32
Look at that. And it's weird to see a Rodian kind of hyperventilate. It's sort of an extreme moment for him. But you see him sort of like, calm down. I mean, neither of these guys, they're just technicians. And the fact that they're in a dangerous situation like this is news to them. Do you want to share how well you know this hallway that you're in? You expanded your thoughts, but they don't know what you've seen.
25:59
Yeah.
26:00
So I. I reached out with the Force and I. I Reached out down this hallway and I can see right to. I have seen. I have already seen the path. I've been down and back already. It's not just a matter of looking. Looking down the hallway. I've been. I've been down the pathway and I know it's clear, and I know that our mission is gonna be accomplished.
26:18
All right, yeah, let's. Let's get to this main computer. Thank you, my friend. You're. You're something special. I can see it.
26:29
Oh, my God. There's been a love connection.
26:34
Kiko did all.
26:44
I don't speak Rodian, but I know what that means.
26:48
We're not on comms, right?
26:51
No, you're not actively engaged comms, damn it.
26:55
I don't want to hear any commentary from you.
26:58
So you guys continue down the hallway and you come to the end again. This is old hat to you at this point. So you open up the doors and it comes to the main computer systems. It's a weird cylindrical model of different sort of connection points and hard drives, but there's several screens with keyboards to tap into. And Pigo produces sort of like this hacker's tool. So it almost looks like the arm that R2D2 would extend, but as sort of like an eye pod sized thing that produces it. So it's for his own personal access points as opposed to being built into himself. So he slices it into the computer and starts tapping away. Meanwhile, in terms of repositioning some of the clearly jostled out hard drives, Garth starts repositioning them all. What are you doing while they're doing this?
28:02
You're not as technical a guy, but you're sort of there as their protector.
28:06
Well, I want to do a quick. I want to do a quick spot check around the room to make sure there isn't any. Anything that might activate once this is powered up so that, you know, in case everything comes online, we don't have to worry about like dodging turrets or something like that.
28:25
Okay,.
28:32
24.
28:34
There are security systems in the room. There's turrets that are retracted that would pop out and start shooting at you if you were to be meddling with it when power came on. But security wasn't finished yet. But you think that as long as you're done actively fiddling with stuff, especially what Garth is doing, because he's physically invading the space in a lot of ways to repair it, but still, it's not just a static thing. Things are actively being connected and disconnected, which would trigger the security systems. As long as Those are done. When security comes online, you should be fine. Do you relay this information?
29:21
Yeah, I just let them know that I let both Garth piggo their turrets up there. As long as security is as long as the other guys take care of making sure security systems are offline, when we get powered up, we should be fine. But I just want to make sure we're all aware in case not everything goes the way we expect.
29:41
Oh. Oh, wow. Oh, God. Thank you for the heads up on that. Sorry. You said the security turret comes from there?
29:47
Yes.
29:48
Oh, my God. Well, I mean, do we know we never synchronized our watches, did we? Who knows what those guys are gonna do. Do you know how much time we.
29:59
Have comms we can will be in communication with all of them.
30:02
Okay. All right, well, I'm working away right here, so maybe. Yeah, let's figure that out before. I don't know how long it's going to take them. And we're going to cut from there over to Reggie and Hoof and Kaz heading into the security rooms. Boom. So you guys have opened up the hallway. It's also dark. There is some blue light for sensitive areas, but unlike the path to the engineering, which actually didn't have any of these security lights, mainly because there weren't as many sensitive computer systems that just stepping in the wrong spot could potentially damage. But it's not as well lit as the way to the main computer where there's tons of important conduits and like motherboards and whatnot. So this one has like some lighting for it. Why don't you give me a spot check as you're looking around? Damn Pimple 2.
31:11
Oh, my God.
31:12
You have the worst rolls in history.
31:14
All right.
31:14
Either the worst or the best.
31:18
Middle ground.
31:19
You wave the flashlight on your gun around as you sort of walk through, but you don't really see anything. You continue on down the way and it all just seems quiet and kind of dead. There's a little bit of a sound of air being still cycling through the hallway you're in, but that's it. It's really eerily still. There's no engine hum. All these noises that you're used to hearing when you're out in space on the station that you're on, usually have some kind of thing indicating that it's going to keep you alive. And there's just none of that.
31:51
It's quiet. Too quiet.
31:54
It is pretty quiet. Gungan, I don't care for this, but let's keep our wits about us. And as you guys are Walking through. Give me a reflex save.
32:25
Misa. Don't know about you, sir, but Misa feeling 22, sir.
32:33
Yes.
32:34
Oh, that was worth it.
32:40
Well played.
32:41
Taylor Swift is going to sue us.
32:47
Behind you. The flow of air that you're feeling suddenly becomes much more dramatic and it actually starts to pull at you fiercely. You leap and grab a hand roll as is Reggie grabbing right next to you as the ceiling above you actually implodes upon itself and rushes out. Atmosphere is starting to rush out of the room that you're in, but you're able to hold onto it. Kaz is ripped from the ground and flown out into space. Kaz, not like this. Like this. Reggie firmly grasping onto the wall, grabs you and then sort of flings you even further up close to where the door is to the next room. But unfortunately, the atmosphere has started to run out, and so it's not going to just let you open the door. You're going to have to, like, fake or not fake.
33:42
You're going to have to mess with the security systems and force it open as Reggie is, like, pushing you up against it to prevent you from losing your grip as you are working at it.
33:53
All right, let's force this thing open.
33:54
Let's give it a computer use.
33:56
Oh, no.
33:57
Oh, the night that I'm rolling. Or failing that, demolitions.
34:02
Failing that, die optimally.
34:04
Computer use.
34:08
19.
34:09
Oh, nice. The door starts to open and there's this rush of additional oxygen flowing out of there, but you're able to get to the door, which it doesn't fully open. The shift in atmosphere prevents it from going completely open, but it's big enough for you to pull yourself through. And Reggie reaches his hand up to you. He's having trouble getting a grip on the side of the door.
34:31
Grabbing his hand.
34:32
All right, give me just a straight strength check.
34:35
Get a grip, Reggie.
34:38
Jesus Christ.
34:39
These guys.
34:40
Oh.
34:40
The strength is not bad. 13.
34:42
All right, you're able to get his hand far enough in that he can get his elbow past the door, and he grabs on and pulls himself through. The flow of air is actually pushing you to the door, so it's almost like your gravity is rotated 90 degrees. The air is rushing out and starting to get thinner in the room, and you're starting to have trouble breathing, but you see the panel to shut the door. Give me another computer use. Check. 10.
35:17
Kill Reggie.
35:18
No, it's a very basic system to turn on like this because this is the natural state is for it to close when the atmosphere is breached. All you have to do Is engage it and it disables the override you've done previously. The door shuts and atmosphere returns to normal. And at which point the vacuum effect that was pulling you guys downwards ends and you. You fall because your. The gravity returns to the normal axis for you.
35:45
That was close. What just happened?
35:48
We had a hull breach this way. Wasn't as secure once too much pressure changed. I don't know. Do you hear that dinging sound? I think maybe asteroids are coming in here. I don't know. Maybe something hit us. Who knows? This station is apparently not in great shape.
36:07
He was my friend.
36:10
Yeah.
36:10
For Cass.
36:12
For Cass.
36:13
Cass was a good man.
36:15
He was a good man.
36:18
On this note, can I have everyone give me initiative checks or rather roll initiative, please?
36:29
18, 12, 11, 29.
36:34
Damn.
36:35
Nope, sorry, that's intelligence.
36:37
I don't have it. Pardon? Sorry.
36:43
J. Mike.
36:44
What was yours?
36:45
1212.
36:49
Addie, what was yours?
36:51
11.
36:56
Yours is what? 21. Wait, what? 21?
37:02
It's 21. I was serious. Intelligence. I was accidentally adding intelligence, not initiative.
37:08
All right, so Hoof and Reggie are going to be working in the security room. So this is just to sort of figure out the timeline of things as people start to get to work. So Reggie goes over to start working one of the security panels. Give me a computer use check on the main computer for the security system.
37:32
Nine.
37:34
So you go over and you realize that there's not enough systems on for you to really engage anything. It's just you can get the screens up, but most of the actual control computers are disabled. So it's just popping up like an error message of server not found.
37:52
Didn't say the magic word.
37:54
Basically. So we're gonna come over to Felius. Who? He and Stembolt were working on the engines to get the power up.
38:00
Right. Did we flip the levers yet?
38:05
So do you guys flip the levers.
38:08
I'm gonna com links everybody first. Hey, guys, we're on the last step to get power back to the station. Are you all ready?
38:18
Well, you know that Hoof and Reggie are just working on, or rather Hoof and Reggie are just working on the computers as we established. So they are fine. They actually need you to turn on the power before they can do anything.
38:29
Yeah, but what about you?
38:30
We got some turrets on here. Just something we need to be aware of. So as long as we keep that.
38:35
Well, try not to get shot. All right, let's do this.
38:37
Thumbs up.
38:38
Hey, guys, this is Garth. Okay, so hold on a second. I need to do some stuff first before you hit the switch. Okay, so give us a moment. Let me tell you when. Pgo, are you good? All right, I just need to connect a few more things and we can step back. All right, now that I've got these hard drives in place, we should get on this side where the sensor range for that turret won't pick us up. So give me a hide check.
39:15
Eighteen.
39:16
All right. Yeah. You guys find yourself in a spot that's a blind spot for the security systems in the room. All right? So you, I presume, relay this to failures, and.
39:26
All right, we're clear of failures.
39:28
Okay, let's do this. You ready, big guy?
39:30
Let's do it.
39:31
All right, hornhead, let's go.
39:34
What do I do? You just flip the switch. You guys each, like, flip your giant levers. Sparks fly, and you start to hear the engine sort of rev up a bit. The lights come on. Like, it goes from that, like, painful red light to actually, like, visible light for all of you guys. All your rooms become fully illuminated. Awful.
40:00
High five.
40:01
Failures or pardon me.
40:03
There we go.
40:03
Foe. In the main computer room, you hear the turret sort of come online. There's no active motion, and there's no one actually doing anything directly, but there is sort of an. It's not an alarm per se, so much as an additional security sweep going on. And with that, we're going to head over to Hoof again. Are you going to. You and Reggie are working on the security system. You need to get it shut down, because right now failures is pinned in. Otherwise, it'll trigger the alarms.
40:40
We need to get these security systems shut down. So I'm gonna go ahead and do a computer use.
40:47
Okay. Shut them down in a blaze of gloves. 22. Yeah. So all the systems come online, and you're able to very quickly find the internal security systems. The internal security goes off, You hear the turrets retract in, and you guys are able to leave your hiding space. But so now Garth and Pico actually have to get to the real work so they start going at it. Would you. Do you want to do anything to sort of encourage them to help direct them or just to communicate with everyone else right now? Like, what do you want to do?
41:40
Well, I'm going to quickly comms, let them know. All right, guys. Well, thank you for shutting down security. Thank you for getting the engines up. We are.
41:48
We've started.
41:50
Well, Migo and Garth have started hacking into the system. So let's see. So at this point, what I would like to do. Here's a force hug I do have inspire.
42:17
Okay. Yeah. Yeah, of course.
42:18
Please do.
42:20
Yeah. Let's go for it.
42:23
So that's 15.
42:28
Yeah. So this is the force power. Yeah. Yeah. So you send out basically good vibes.
42:37
Folks.
42:37
And Prince. And they start clicking into work. Everyone give me spot and listen checks on this one.
42:54
Seventeen spot. Eleven, listen.
43:05
Eighteen spot. 23, Listen.
43:08
Two spot. Five, listen.
43:14
This is indicative of what big ears you have.
43:20
Our Gungan is good at shooting first and asking questions later and also not necessarily knowing what he's shooting at.12 spot and eight, listen. All right. So for failures and stumble, things are starting to kick on like high gear. You actually. It's not just power that's starting to go through things. You can actually tell that thrusters are starting to be engaged. Everyone else feels vibrations like crazy. Any sort of like loose equipment starting to bounce around. And everyone please give me reflex saves.
43:49
Reflex, reflex. 18.
43:59
Sweet. 16.
44:01
20.
44:03
All right. So foe you fall to your feet as the station that you're on shifts a little bit. Everyone else is able to sort of keep their balance.
44:18
It's really gnarly. Guys.
44:26
And over comms you hear sleeper Jim turn tunes in like, hey, you said guys. What's going on there? The. The engines kicked on and you're. The satellite just bucked out of its orbit.
44:39
We're gonna turn this thing off.
44:41
Turn it off.
44:41
Turn them all off. Flip the switch. Flip the switch. Flip the switch.
44:44
Looking for a switch.
44:45
No, not you. You. You.
44:49
I wouldn't. Stimboff and failures. Please give me repair checks to see if you can disengage the actual thrusters without turning off the station.
44:59
22, 19.
45:03
You guys are able to rush over to it and get it to disengage. The vibrations stop. But you can feel that you are. There is some momentum to it at the moment. You haven't.
45:11
All right. We had thrusters going.
45:14
We just disabled them.
45:15
But we. You know, we're still adrift in space. Guys. Just be aware. We are adrift in an asteroid field. Let's hustle and get off this rock.
45:26
Alright, guys. Yusa is drifting a little bit aways. Yusa better hurry. We. I don't know how long before you'll collide with a larger asteroid than what we can deflect for you.
45:38
Right? How much? Like, what more do we have to do here?
45:42
Ego and Garth have quite a bit of missions to it. Good luck. Guys.
45:45
We gotta go.
45:46
It's gonna take some time for them to get as much information as possible. You're gonna have to see what you can do about possibly, I don't know, getting to navigation controls and preventing the ship from going off course too much.
45:59
That's gonna be in the main room. All right,.
46:03
So there is a hatch that would lead to navigation for all three of the chambers you're in.
46:10
So you guys stay with you guys. We'll take care of navigation. We got the engine room all taken care of.
46:17
It's straight there.
46:18
We'll head up and try to slow this thing down and keep us away from any giant.
46:23
None of these things have been compromised, right?
46:26
You don't know.
46:33
Oh, man.
46:34
What do you think we should be doing here, buddy?
46:37
Can I activate any, like, guns to make sure that I can shoot any androids that are coming to us asteroids?
46:46
You're right the first time, it's fine. Sorry, you wanna. Sorry, you wanna activate what?
46:55
I don't know. Just. I wanna make sure we're not getting hit by any new rocks out there.
46:59
Yeah, that's a pretty good idea, buddy. Yeah, yeah. Why don't you give a computer use check to see if you can engage those.
47:06
This is what computer 101 comes in handy. You took 05050? 21?
47:16
Yeah. Actually you do. You engage a bunch of turrets like on screens. You're able to see smaller asteroids that are coming out. And in fact there's a very big one that you got are sort of moving towards. It's probably bigger than what your ship can take out, but you could at the very least aren't worried about smaller ones coming to collide with you.
47:34
We got a big asteroid coming towards us.
47:37
A big ass asteroid or a big asteroid?
47:39
Big ass droid. Asteroid.
47:43
All right, buddy, that was pretty good. Do you want to keep on working on that and blocking any shots coming this way?
47:47
Doing it.
47:48
We're heading to the main room for flight controls.
47:50
You guys, I'm coming to meet you. Hoof, you watch our outsides. I'm coming to meet up with our short tongued friends, my human compatriot and Zabrak buddy here. Guys, I'm gonna rendezvous with you, but let's take this swiftly. All right, so he exits out of the security console. So you guys also start moving out of the engine room. So you've gone into sort of like a Jeffrey's tube. You climb up and are sort of like crawling through. It's a fairly tight space. It's kind of like an alien. But there's no like little critters. No,.
48:30
Sure there are no my docs.
48:35
As you guys are moving, however Give me move silently checks 13.
48:42
I get 18.
48:43
Great.
48:43
Okay, both of that is good enough that I'm using move silently to sort of represent moving with care, which is that you are actively not triggering any sort of, like, infrared lines and triggering any turrets that are going to start shooting at you that you are able to observe are there because it's pretty dusty, and those infrared lines actually show up a bit.
49:04
Make sure you avoid the turrets.
49:11
So you guys are able to move through the space. You guys come to the end of this tube and come out to it, and there's the navigation computer in there. As you come out, you hear blaster fire, and this normal door opens up, and Reggie pops in, and you can see just destroyed droids everywhere down this hallway that he's just been blowing up. Parts of his armor are scarred and burned from getting shot at by both turrets and astromech droids with their defense systems. And he goes like, take that, you little bastards. Take it. Droids. I hate droids. God, it's good to have a trigger finger again. I've missed having a good gun. It's always been just one pistol, but, man, I don't need a pistol. I need a rifle, so.
50:03
Not that way.
50:05
Keep going.
50:06
We all found. We all found navigation console. So any, I need you guys to do your best. I'll hold off these droids that are coming for. I hate droids. I'll hold these off while you try to set up everything. If you can keep it. If you can redirect us, then we might not have to abandon ship and give Pigo and Garth some time to actually put out a good signal.
50:29
Now, what's your modifier?
50:31
Zero.
50:32
I got three for pilot, so. All right, I'm going to try and pilot.
50:35
Do a computer use first to engage the 16.
50:38
Computer use.
50:39
I got a 16 for pilot.
50:41
Wait, wait. No, no.
50:42
What do you have for computer?
50:42
Use your modifier. I'll take his pilot check, and then you give me a computer used to sort of engage the systems 14. All right, you're able to bring up rudimentary controls. You're not able to activate sort of an automatic pilot. That would save you guys without having to do anything. So now your pilot check is good enough, though, to at least do a controlled burn to prevent you from rapidly approaching this asteroid. You should be able to, with another check, prevent it from actually striking it. Meanwhile, we're gonna cut back over to foe, who's with Garth and Pigo. They're frantically trying to wire stuff. Garth goes foe. Foe can you in my bag over there. Can you grab. We have a disk. It's a prepared message that Rebel High Command sent us when we found out about this.
51:40
So you head over to his bag and sort of like hustle through. Give me a search check.
51:47
13.
51:49
Yeah. You find this disk and Garth sort of extends his hand out to you. And that nod, I take it, means you gave it to him. Sorry. So you hand it off to him. So he's starting to try to figure out how to like get it into this player, but it's going to take.
52:07
A little bit of work.
52:07
His systems are still damaged and he's working as fast as he can. We're going to cut back over to Stimbold and Failius, give me additional checks. So's Stimul. Give me another piloting check and Failius, give me another computer use check to see if you can do anything in terms of activating defenses.
52:26
An 8 12.
52:29
You guys aren't 8. Like there's too much momentum. You try another burn, but it's not properly lined up, so you're not able to cancel out the momentum. And as far as you can tell, it's not current. You need to do a. You need to sort of realign your thrusters, otherwise you're not going to be able to break out of this orbit. We're going to cut back over to who? Yes. So just give me a straight ranged attack. Roll 22. Oh, great. Yeah. All these like small asteroids were coming at you and you engage successfully these blasters to like bam him out of the sky like Wyatt friggin Earth. That's right, man. You should get the right idea. Yeah. So the Gungans just are on it, man. Like the Cosmopolitan Swift.
53:28
And then controlling the blasters on board the satellite, you're just blasting every small Astro that's heading towards. But there's a big one and it's sort of drifting towards it. Garth is having some. Garth is, is actively trying to get everything into place, but we're going to cut back over to Phelas and Stembal. All right.
53:50
Hey, much better pilot than you move the computer.
53:55
Let, let me fly you. You fix the computer.
53:57
All right, so let's get a computer use check to first line up everything and then a pilot check to actually do something with it.
54:05
Fifteen.
54:07
All right. Yeah. You easily see how best to reposition the ship. So you engage it and you set the geometry of the satellite to actually sort of slingshot around it. Now we need an actual piloting check to control the Thrusters appropriately so that it is engaged in the proper sequence. Otherwise you 17. Yeah, you do it. You do the exact right burn. Not too little. Otherwise you crash into the asteroid. And not too much. Otherwise a slingshot would send you flying wildly into space, potentially hitting another asteroid. All right, teamwork. Rebels.
54:41
Rebels.
54:43
Slippery Jim comes in over common like, oh, you sick guys. You guys are doing so good. But perhaps you should consider evacuating. Garth, how are you doing down there? And Garth tunes. And like Slippery Jim, we got it coming along. It's. It's a lot, but we. We were able to engage all of our. All the hacks that we want. So we should be able to like, read some data. And we've implanted the codes. I'm gonna need another second down here before we're ready to disembark. Otherwise I can't necessarily like hide it well enough if any Imperials come. But right now it's. It's. Most of our work is done here. I think it's coming along. At which point Peego chimes in. Get the grinder. We do. Dying Piggo. What is. Oh my God. Guys. Guys. Pico struck gold.
55:36
These are much higher level imperial codes than we'd hoped to get when were hacking into this. Oh, man. If we play our cards, we can use these to act as Imperial communications. Maybe even bypass some security down the road. New plan. New plan. Revealing the truth can wait.
55:53
What?
55:54
Yeah. With these, we can find out any future satellite movements. We can hack into any. We can broadcast messages anytime we want. Some of these are passcodes for projects like Delta and Gamma. I don't know what those. There's some sort of project here that they're working on.
56:10
Failures.
56:11
I told you guys.
56:14
All right, guys, with these codes, we need the Imperials to think we actually. That this ship went down. They can't even suspect that the codes came from here. All right. Hey guys. Do you think you can potentially make us crash in a way that looks like it was the actual collision course?
56:40
Yeah, but it would require somebody to stay behind.
56:44
Oh, snap. Faileous just volunteered.
56:46
Guys, failures. You're too important to the rebellion. We can't allow that. No, I'm pretty sure that all the security codes can be done remotely. Once we get the basic thruster lined up, it won't be that hard to do. All right.
56:58
If you want to do it the easy.
57:04
Are you sure the sore tongue does not have to stand behind? Yes, Slippery Jim. I'm pretty sure that we can get this without. Look, if you guys just Engage a flight plan that's going to sort of mimic what was originally going to happen. I don't know, maybe some sort of like dual slingshot to hit the asteroid were about to hit before again.
57:20
I just kept us from doing all right. Yeah, we can make that happen, right?
57:25
Let's do it again.
57:25
Get on the computer, let's make this happen. When do you need this to happen? Like how quickly?
57:30
We should all start evacuating first before you guys head out.
57:33
Alright, let us know.
57:34
So Reggie, Faileous and Stimbolt, you hang back for a minute foe you and me and Garth should start heading out and. Hey Hoof, are you still on comms?
57:45
Pew pew.
57:46
I'm here. All right, so stop blowing up anything. If it comes for us, we're going to have to deal with it. For the time being, you're going to have to evacuate.
57:54
Done. On my way.
57:56
All right, so you guys all start making your way out with that phalleas, please give me a computer use check or pardon me, give me a computer use and piloting check as we decided.
58:13
Okay, good.
58:13
15:17. Yeah, you're able to sort of position the satellite to rebel to go flying into. Everyone else is rushing out. Hey guys, we should probably get on moving. All right.
58:29
All right, let's get out of here. Lead the way, Reg.
58:32
Right away he opens up the doors, there's a ton of droids and he's just like suppressing fire. And he just like mows down R2D2 after R2D2.
58:47
Metroid had a bad motivator,.
58:52
So he leads the way. No drink for that.
59:00
Whatever.
59:02
There we go. Thank you. And he's just like if you guys saw the Expendables where Terry Crews had that like automatic firing shotgun. He's basically just doing that like, just like blowing up like droids as he walks forward like. As seizure. Silent killer as he leads you to back to safety. You guys get onto the Susan and you're able to pull off and redock with the Cosmopolitan Swift. And as you're flying out and you see satellite I175 collide with an asteroid sleeper, Jim turns to you and is like, all right, we've relayed this to the rebel command and they've got a mission for us. Let me take a look.
59:55
I got it.
59:57
Wait, so what's that?
