Session 9 - Above Aargonar
Will our scruffy nerfherders be able to escape an imperial boarding party?
Notes
Combat and Tactical Engagement
The team successfully repelled an Imperial boarding party through coordinated combat and sabotage, securing the rebel transport ship (05:51).
Effective Defense Against Boarding Troopers involved two groups splitting to engage stormtroopers on different ship sections.
One group, led by Reggie and Findir, destroyed an Imperial shuttle attached to the ship using explosives.
The other group, including Foe and Hoof, sealed off critical areas and fought stormtroopers inside the ship with blasters and melee weapons.
Team members used strategic cover and targeted shots, with Piggo delivering key kills and Reggie disabling enemy armor.
Controlled Demolition Strategy disabled the Imperial shuttle without harming the rebel ship.
Rigged explosives were placed on the shuttle’s umbilical cord, allowing a staged detonation that severed the connection before blowing the shuttle’s hull apart.
This prevented decompression and preserved ship integrity, showcasing careful planning and technical skill.
Close Quarters Combat Tactics ensured survival inside the ship.
Players used blast doors and sealed bulkheads to slow enemy advance.
Melee attacks, including vibro knives, complemented ranged fire, neutralizing the remaining stormtroopers.
Coordination and Communication maintained situational awareness.
Comms checks ensured team members shared status updates rapidly.
Spot checks and initiative rolls supported tactical decision-making during firefights.
Ship Operations and Engineering
Repair and control of ship systems enabled survival and tactical advantage during the boarding and combat events (07:17).
Engine and Weapon System Repairs were led by Felius Vajkiller, who jury-rigged systems to restore ship functionality.
Early detection of a hull breach prompted quick sealing of blast doors to avoid decompression.
Felius used his engineering skill to stabilize weapon systems under duress.
Disengagement of Imperial Transport was achieved remotely via computer use.
The team successfully disengaged the Imperial transport’s landing gear, allowing it to float free before controlled demolition.
This prevented the ship from dragging or damaging the rebel transport.
Piloting and Docking Maneuvers ensured safe continuation of the mission.
The ship Susan was maneuvered skillfully into docking position within the larger transport vessel.
Despite incoming TIE fighters, the docking was completed without incident, allowing the team to regroup.
Use of Fire Extinguishers as Explosive Components demonstrated inventive use of available materials.
Reggie rigged fire extinguishers as part of the booby trap that destroyed the Imperial shuttle, showing adaptive problem-solving.
Strategic Intelligence and Future Planning
The team positioned themselves for further intelligence gathering and mission continuation by aligning with rebel hacktivists and planning next steps (47:53).
Alliance with Rebel Slicers who have expertise in hacking the Imperial HoloNet was established.
Their goal is to intercept and decode Imperial signals, potentially exposing secret projects like the Death Star.
This intelligence effort aims to reveal the Empire’s true intentions beyond the current battle.
Recognition of Advanced Imperial Technology signaled a shift in battlefield awareness.
The observation that some TIE fighters had shield technology, normally absent, suggested the Empire is deploying new prototypes.
This knowledge impacts future tactical planning and threat assessment.
Decision to Travel in Tandem Rather Than Dock Separately was made to avoid falling into Imperial traps.
The group agreed to stick together during extraction to strengthen defense and share resources.
Next Destination Set for Bespin to meet allies and pursue intelligence leads.
The team planned to research further with contacts, setting the stage for upcoming missions.
This marks a strategic pivot toward information warfare and alliance-building.
Team Dynamics and Role Assignments
Clear leadership and role clarity helped the team efficiently navigate combat and ship operations (01:26).
Distinct Character Roles enhanced mission success.
Felius Vajkiller focused on engineering and repairs.
Reggie led combat efforts, specializing in ranged attacks and sabotage.
Piggo and others provided tactical support, including melee and ranged combat.
Collaborative Decision-Making ensured quick responses to threats.
Team members communicated constantly to update plans and adjust actions.
Decisions such as sealing doors, setting charges, and retreating were made collectively.
Use of Specialized Skills like demolitions and piloting contributed to overcoming obstacles.
Demolitions checks were critical to breaching doors and disabling enemy ships safely.
Piloting checks allowed precise ship positioning under pressure.
Humor and Morale maintained team cohesion despite danger.
Light-hearted banter around combat and technical challenges helped relieve tension.
Characters reinforced each other's efforts with encouragement and camaraderie.

Just go to our website, certainpov.com today we're continuing the story. And I am playing Fosho, the Force Adept Keldor Ben, I am playing Phallus.
01:36
Vajkiller, the human fringer. And to my left we have Sean.
01:42
Hello, I am Sean. I'm playing Fendir pickup, Ithorian scout.
01:47
And then we got Corey.
01:48
Hey guys.
01:48
I'm Corey and Misa Gungan, Mr.
01:51
Car Huflondung.
01:52
And I am a soldier.
01:54
And last, and what's really important with this is if there are details that this guy says it's pretty much canon, including stuff like shields on TIE fighters. Because he is basically the God of this story. So you can't really argue with the details.
02:09
He gives alternative facts.
02:10
And here is the God and DM of this series case.
02:15
Oh my God. I am just amazed that Corey got through the entire thing. Like every detail was right.
02:20
I'm surprised.
02:21
Seven times a charm.
02:22
They say it helps that he has paper to text, take notes.
02:24
I'm taking notes.
02:25
And he had the starting frame of reference that we are in space to make sure.
02:29
I knew that this time that's pretty critical. To jump or not to jump. See, this is A good fact to know before you decide to jump.
02:36
All right.
02:36
Yes. This is good to know if there was gravity before you tried to take off. There's a really good metaphor there somewhere. But while we ponder the mysteries of life, can I have everyone roll a D20 for me?
02:51
17, 18.
02:52
2 20.
02:54
Really?
02:55
Whoa. Yes.
02:56
So you know the drill is you get to pick someone to do it, and you get the recap bonus.
03:01
Oh, sweet. You know, I like to hear Cory do the recap.
03:06
Wow.
03:06
Oh, thank you so much, Sean. I can't tell you how scared I was.
03:13
Okay, well, we're in space.
03:16
Oh, opening shot.
03:19
Opening shot.
03:21
All right.
03:22
And so ship starts to fly by. What? I remember lasers.
03:26
There were people on this ship? No, we had to repair this transporter ship. So we got on there, and there was a guy named Pace. Space.
03:36
No.
03:36
Space. No. What was the guy's name?
03:38
No, you were right the first time.
03:40
Pace was right.
03:40
It was Pace.
03:41
It was a.
03:41
Pace wasn't on the ship.
03:43
No.
03:44
Oh, no.
03:44
Yeah, he was the Gungan.
03:46
You guys talked to him on the radio.
03:47
Oh, we talked to him on the.
03:48
Radio because Pace is our friend.
03:49
His Faux show doesn't like me.
03:52
Definitely.
03:52
Yeah.
03:53
So we had to fix his transporter ship. Then we ran into Slippery Jim, and he kind of directed us.
03:59
Oh, that's right. Yeah.
04:01
Apparently everybody likes a Slippery Jimmy, you.
04:03
Know that's what I'm saying.
04:04
Oh, that's what they all say. Yeah.
04:07
And so.
04:10
Vad's killer had to fix the engine. So he was fixing the engine on this transporter. We were trying to get the shields up and so we can go into hyperspace. I don't know. And then we ended up fighting on this.
04:25
Somehow we got outside of the ship.
04:27
We got outside the ship. I have no clue how we got outside the ship, but I saved the day with my leap of faith and hanging by a string and shot some guy.
04:38
From a certain point of view.
04:38
Yeah, from a certain point of view. And that's. That's where we left off.
04:42
Wait, seriously?
04:43
That's what happened?
04:44
Well, you thought about Gargamel finding the village. He finds the village. I think we continue with that today.
04:51
Yeah,
04:53
This is happening in my game.
04:54
They split into two groups to deal with the boarding stormtroopers. So Reggie, along with Findir, and then one of the soldiers that was just on the ship, went out and had their encounter. Meanwhile, Foe and Hoof, along with another soldier, were dealing on the other side of the ship. And that was when Hoof was like, I'm gonna make A jump check. And I'm gonna jump into space.
05:18
And I was like, I was gonna jump and punch the guy in the face. No, I got you.
05:21
I'm with you.
05:23
But it turned into jump into space.
05:24
Yeah, it was a shortcut to the planet.
05:28
Yeah, I'm out.
05:32
I'll meet you guys on the surface.
05:38
But so we open, we find you guys attempting to repel this boarding party of stormtroopers. We are going to start actually with a certain Mr. Felius Vag killer.
05:48
Hey.
05:50
Hard at work in the engine. So you've gotten everything starting to go and it was locked off. I think you were working on the weapon systems. Actually left off. If you say so. But you were kicking ass because you're great at jury rigging stuff. That's your deal. That's what I do. You're like a space hillbilly who sucks somehow makes cars run.
06:09
I don't know about hillbilly.
06:10
Oh, no, definitely hillbilly. Like it looks like you've had sex with your cousin.
06:13
Ooh, twice.
06:14
There we go.
06:15
There we go.
06:16
So you're hard at work. And give me a listen check, please.
06:19
Okay. That could also make him a Roosevelt.
06:23
Right?
06:23
Yeah.
06:23
You don't have to be hillbilly.
06:24
You could be a president. You could be a hillbilly president.
06:26
Yeah.
06:27
Eighteen.
06:28
All right. Yeah. You definitely start to hear a sizzling sound above you.
06:33
Oh, bacon sizzle.
06:39
This is a deaddy Zack.
06:40
Take a look.
06:41
Give me a spot deck.
06:42
Look up.
06:44
Spot.
06:45
Is that really a roll or just a draw?
06:47
13.
06:48
Okay, so you look around the chamber that you're in and you find a spot that's starting to. It looks like a circle that's starting to form of red in the metal.
06:59
Shit.
07:00
You've got a few seconds to do something. What are you gonna do?
07:06
Is there anybody in the room with me?
07:07
No, you're alone.
07:09
Finally, I'm taking my pants off. No, I'm getting out of this. Like, where's the closest exit?
07:17
Behind you. Okay.
07:19
Yeah, head to that.
07:20
So you seal the door.
07:21
Yeah, I'm out. Because if that opens up, it's gonna suck me right onto space.
07:26
Okay, so. Yeah, so you run out the door and you close the hatch.
07:30
Wait, is that on the bulkhead or just on? Or is there a floor above? Or is there like a room above me?
07:36
You're not sure?
07:36
Yeah, I'm out.
07:38
Deuces.
07:38
If I'm not sure, I'm out. Not sucking me out into space. I'm not getting sucked out tonight, Jenny.
07:45
Wow.
07:46
This got personal as the Door shuts.
07:50
And you're peeking out. You see a metal disc fall from the ceiling and a tube launch in to keep the atmosphere in and the door shuts.
08:00
All right, good. At least I didn't die in there. All right, good to know.
08:04
Are you doing anything now?
08:05
Do I have a gun on me?
08:06
You do. All right. Yeah. You have an estimated blaster?
08:09
Just a blaster.
08:09
Okay.
08:12
Door shut.
08:13
Shoot the door so they can't open the door.
08:15
Okay.
08:17
All right, so you shoot the door so that the locker room slowly slow them down.
08:20
Yeah. All right,
08:23
Now I'm gonna hightail it, try and find the rest of the team.
08:26
Okay, so we're gonna cut from you right now hightailing out of there. We're gonna cut back over to Findir and Reggie Findir, who had just led with the triumphant charge of. It's hammer time.
08:40
That's so good.
08:42
Can't touch this. You guys see one of the imperial shuttles, it's attached onto the side of the ship.
08:47
You can.
08:48
You guys are actually like now on Susan. That's where they've attached onto. So the other one is on the rebel transport, but you're on the actual hull of Susan.
08:56
So we have an imperial shuttle mounting Susan.
08:58
Yes.
09:00
Sounds so dirty when you say it.
09:05
Come on, you beautiful, flat faced bastard.
09:07
All right,
09:09
We're going for it.
09:10
All right, let's do this. Repeat.
09:12
I got my guns ready.
09:13
All right.
09:13
All right, let's get her done. Oh, you got. You just wish you were in that hillbilly. I didn't realize were doing the blue collar tour.
09:25
Well, Reggie started off a little more sophisticated. After not too much time, just descended into anarchy, misery. He steps on forward and he checks the entrance to the ship. And then all of a sudden, you see his hand touch the side.
09:47
He starts to walk away.
09:48
There's a charge on him. He gives a countdown with the hand that actually has all its fingers. 5, 3, 2. Hull breach. Explosion goes off the side of the ship. A imperial stormtrooper flies out into space. Clearly not equipped for any sort of space travel or anything like that. See, I was thinking I could have been me.
10:16
It could have been me.
10:17
Oh, okay, describe what happens to his face.
10:21
No.
10:23
Oh, my bad.
10:24
Okay, this one is armored. It's just not a space ready armor. And it just flies off, clearly dead. And there's a little bit of blood crystals coming out of underneath the helmet, but that's it. Gotta have the description in there. Yeah. So he ushers you to like come on in.
10:43
So we just blew up the Imperial shuttle.
10:45
Shuttle. The side of the shuttle off, Right. So there might be more in there, but at the very least, what was right at the door, it's gone. Yeah. That was the airlock, though.
10:55
So he's inviting me into the Imperial shuttle.
10:56
Yes.
10:57
Okay.
10:57
Not into him.
10:59
Right?
10:59
Unless you want to.
11:00
Not yet. That's why you're going in the shuttle.
11:02
Yeah. Slow and steady.
11:07
Come on, Kaz. Fin.
11:08
Here.
11:08
We're going to get them. We're going to get them good.
11:11
All right, here's your son.
11:17
So they. He.
11:19
He rushes into the airlock on the other side. You see two Imperial stormtroopers, like, readying their guns, faced at the other door right there. They were able to, like, get clear before the blast went off. But he's like, get ready.
11:39
About to open the door.
11:42
So give me.
11:43
Why is he laughing?
11:45
Cause I'm not afraid to die. I'm already dead.
11:52
All of a sudden, he turned into Jesse Ventura from Predator.
11:57
So give me an admission to roll, please.
11:59
Okay, 17.
12:02
Door starts to open and the troopers are ready with gunshots. So they let off shots at you. First one definitely misses. Saquon also misses shockingly. They're stormtroopers. Reggie pops open or reaches his arm in and lets off a shot,
12:25
But.
12:25
Because of his stormtrooper background, also misses that one.
12:28
He's a clone trooper. Clone troopers hit targets.
12:30
Yeah.
12:31
Yep.
12:32
But you know who's actually good at shooting things? Kaz. Kaz shoots one of them, and it takes some damage. You're up. Finger.
12:42
Kill them.
12:43
Kill them all like animals.
12:45
17.
12:47
Plus your ranged attack.
12:50
Yes, ranged attack, of course. 19.
12:53
All right, that's a hit. So roll 2D6 for me, please.
13:00
8.
13:00
The one that casts it, you also fire a shot at. And with that's actually enough to damage his armor and break the seal. And you can see him fall to the ground of the artificial gravity of the ship as air is sucked out of him and he passes out and dies.
13:22
Wow. Rebels. Rebels.
13:25
Rebels guys are sick.
13:28
They're Imperials.
13:29
What did you think were doing?
13:30
That's true. Okay, the other trooper tries to get a shot off at you. Sorry. What's your defense?
13:36
Hide behind Reggie because he's.
13:44
Both eyes peering around him.
13:46
Thirteen.
13:47
Okay.
13:48
He hits.
13:50
Oh.
13:50
Oh.
13:51
Oh, my.
13:52
Oh, no.
13:54
And how many vitality points do you have?
13:56
Less than what you have now.
13:59
I'm starting fresh now from last time or.
14:01
No, you didn't take any damage last time. You didn't take any damage. You're good, right?
14:04
I didn't Take damage from last time.
14:07
Thank you, man.
14:07
18.
14:09
Now you actually have six.
14:11
Oh, smack.
14:15
The shot hits your armor and you're afraid that it might be punctured. So you sort of like recoil back, like worried and like freaked out at this whole thing. Nothing has actually been penetrated. But like it almost. It's hot. Like the blaster shot itself is like heated it. You're pretty sure it's going to stretch and rip at any moment. So you definitely don't want to like engage in anything too vigorous until you've had a chance to like look over your suit. Well, but at this point, Reggie then lets off a shot and. And does some damage to the guy.
14:49
Go Reg.
14:51
Nobody does this to my friends.
14:54
And left handed, like yeah, you didn't.
14:59
Know that by now?
14:59
Where's friends?
15:01
Sideways, like Chinese gangster movie. Like does a shot off into. Into the trooper who. Whose armor takes the brunt of it. But he. You definitely stepped back, like shocked that someone in a white suit was able to actually hit it.
15:16
And just then a dove flies across.
15:18
The screen in slow motion.
15:22
Cass tries to take evasive action and fire at the same time. And misses. Fender, you're back up.
15:27
All right.
15:33
The best roll yet.
15:34
Yeah. Ranged. 2, 3 divided by PI. That is a mess. And damages one of the computer systems inside the ship.
15:57
Oh, that's good.
15:58
You hear a little bit of like you. Well, or rather you don't hear. You feel this vibration that the ship was doing when you first walked into it. Start to shudder and be erratic as it goes. The trooper tries to take a shot and misses wildly. But then Reggie takes a shot and is jostled by this change in vibration. And his shot also goes wild. But in this case it hits a computer console and it causes the ship to shutter even harder. And if you give me a spot check.
16:37
Here we go. 20.
16:39
Okay.
16:40
You glance outside the airlock and you see that the area immediately around the Imperial shuttle is glowing brightly. Clearly there's some kind of energy exhaust coming off of it that's triggering the shields and it's creating this bright blue glow. You know, you could walk on it. It wouldn't really affect physical objects, but it is affecting energy that is somehow or like there's some kind of output of the ship that's now triggering in like a weird mode and causing it to really like trigger the shields. Kaz takes a shot and misses. It's a pack on you.
17:12
Okay, Here we go.
17:15
9.
17:16
Okay, that's a miss as well.
17:18
You ever used a gun before?
17:20
First time.
17:20
It's kind of tough with how his.
17:21
Eyes are, you know.
17:23
Depth perception is not great. It's not a key.
17:25
I can take sharp turns, but no, I cannot.
17:28
Yeah, it's like a deer. He can see it coming but has a hard time judging the actual distance.
17:35
I feel like I learned something new.
17:37
The more you know.
17:40
The trooper gets a shot off at.
17:41
Kaz.
17:44
And also hits his suit. The suit takes the damage. And he definitely looks pretty freaked out by this. He seems to be clutching what you think might be a hole that's made in. But you don't think that he's actually about to die. He looks like he's now starting to fiddle with the suit itself. Reggie takes a shot and hits and kills him.
18:09
Thank you, Reggie.
18:11
Best clone ever.
18:15
The shot in this case just creates a small hole in the chest of the stormtrooper who falls down before you get to see any gore. That's too bad, but. So the ship is shuddering violently.
18:31
Still.
18:32
Give me spot checks to try to see if you figure out what's going on.
18:38
13,
18:43
You spot.
18:44
Wiblet approach appears to be controls for a cutting apparatus that it was trying to do to Susan. What was apparently happening to the Imperial Shovel as well. Or to the rebel Shovel shuttle as well. It is trying to cut into Susan with a boarding pod. But you've killed all the crew of the ship. You, however, don't want damage to happen to your ship, I'm assuming, right?
19:09
No, I don't. I care about my ship, thank you. I don't want to get damaged.
19:16
I want to go on record.
19:18
I've always liked that ship.
19:19
Finn Deere. We need to be men of action right now.
19:22
And Reggie walks up with his blaster and just shoots the thing and blows it up. It's a shower of sparks in your face and kind of stunning it, but you feel the shuddering stop and the. The light coming off of the shields actually starts to dissipate and this blue glow kind of recedes back into underneath the shuttle. So you've just disabled that Imperial transport,
19:47
All thanks to me.
19:50
Shy. Pretty good job on this one, at the very least.
19:53
I'm proud of you, Sean. Good job, Sean.
19:58
Thanks.
20:00
Thanks. Are you gonna try to. What's your next plan for that?
20:05
Well, we have to. I like to help out my other my fellow rebels because they might be in trouble on the other side. They could use a hand. It looks we've got everything situated here. No one's cutting into Susan. All troopers are dead on this side. But we need to help out these guys.
20:22
I Think that's a good plan before we go, I got a little surprise for the Imperial.
20:27
So I'm ready for him. And Reggie starts to work on the.
20:32
You laughing at you? Expecting, like, dick pics or something?
20:36
Reggie. Reggie slides down his armor,
20:41
Spray paints.
20:42
A picture of a giant dick in their cockpit.
20:45
Surprise.
20:46
No. You see Reggie go to work on the computer system. He, like, looks around and he tries to find explanation. He seems to draw them all together. And then, still looking for more, he spots two fire extinguishers that were mounted on and pulls those in as well. He pulls out what appears to be some sort of adhesive bonding strip and wraps it around in sort of a makeshift way that you think he's rigging some kind of explosive. And he's like, we better get off this thing. And you guys all make your way off.
21:24
As you get off, he, like, slams a button on the side and it causes thrusters to kick the ship off of its, like, docked position on Susan and flies up into space in a spiraling direction, and it just continues to rise, and you're not exactly sure how far it's gonna go.
21:41
Oh, autopilot kicks in, and he sends that thing towards the Imperial somehow.
21:47
That would be really cool, but that's not gonna happen.
21:50
Shit, Randy, I thought you were thinking he was gonna say, get off my ship.
21:56
We're gonna cut away from there and cut back to faili or Pardon me, to foe and hoof.
22:02
Am I still dangling from a string?
22:04
No, they pulled you back in.
22:05
They pulled me back in. Okay, but we're still on top of the ship with moon boots.
22:09
Yes.
22:09
All right.
22:12
Yes.
22:12
Or magnetic boots.
22:13
Whatever you want to call them.
22:14
That works.
22:15
For the purposes of my Gungan friend, Moon boots, I'm gonna let him call him Moon Boots.
22:22
Who sagged on gun.
22:24
We did a good job.
22:25
Yes. My friend the Twi' lek says to you guys, his weird little tentacles kind of clogging up his helmet and screwing up his vision a little bit. Clearly not a helmet design for his anatomy.
22:39
But we should move on. The other ship is just ahead.
22:44
All right, so we got to figure out either how to get this ship going or get these people off.
22:48
Well, no, we need.
22:48
We need to get the Imperial transport that's boarded on the rebel transport. We need to get it off of it, right?
22:53
Yes.
22:54
So we're heading for that ship, and we have the grenades and some of the packs from the stormtroopers that we killed.
23:00
Yes, yes.
23:01
It's a good plan.
23:02
We should fuck them up.
23:03
Exactly.
23:03
So I Want to.
23:04
I want to run for. I want to make our way to the Imperial transport and hopefully Ben is still working on the engines and is making progress there. So we can get out of here as soon as we're done with this. But we'll go ahead. Get to that Imperial transport. I want to open up the door and throw in one of thermal detonators.
23:26
Hold on.
23:26
I'm going to try to open a comlink with Vindyr. Maybe he can give us a status.
23:31
Report of what's going on around the other side there.
23:35
Vindir. Finn, Deer.
23:39
Who is this?
23:42
It's Zeff.
23:44
You don't have caller ID on that thing?
23:46
It's shortwave radio.
23:48
Over.
23:49
Over.
23:54
What do you need there, good buddy? Over.
23:58
What's your status? We have engaged the enemy.
24:01
Status is still single.
24:03
About ready to mingle.
24:05
Over.
24:08
I see.
24:09
We should have a conversation when this is all over.
24:14
I would like that.
24:16
Oh, this is a weird.
24:18
Well, we'll be ready for Bloodcon.
24:23
All Imperial forces have been wiped out. And we just sent the Imperial shuttle on its way.
24:30
That's right.
24:30
I've got a little surprise coming for him.
24:33
Oh, Wilbur. Wilbur.
24:38
Oh, Wilbur, indeed that is. Your friend is a scary one.
24:43
What the shit?
24:45
What? I don't know what's happening. I'm already lost.
24:50
All right, Slivery GM is here. Where did he come from?
24:54
He's on the cops, okay? He's not just walking out on. Obviously not.
25:04
I gave our only Gungan suit to your companion. But the censors array indicate that we have been boarded. So please kill them. Please.
25:17
Thank you.
25:20
So Reggie, you already have plans for the other shuttle, right?
25:24
Oh yeah.
25:25
So we. So then the.
25:26
So we should actually head back on the ship so we can take care of the troops that have boarded.
25:32
Unless is probably almost dead.
25:35
We'll find Faelias. He's fine.
25:37
He can escape.
25:38
He's a Fringer. You can survive.
25:42
You know, we can probably handle the ones down here, but you guys probably want to get the ship off so that we can actually disembark from your ship and move on.
25:51
All right, so let's go.
25:52
We can't go to hyperspace with an.
25:54
Imperial transport riding on our back.
25:55
All right, then let's go for it.
25:57
Just go for it.
25:58
Yep. You still got the right idea.
25:59
Yeah.
26:00
This is about to happen, guys.
26:02
So.
26:02
Okay, so yeah, so the plan still stands for me wanting to go and throw a thermal detonator through the front door of that.
26:09
All right, you guys start to come around the side of the ship and it comes into view, you are facing its front. You are far enough away that you can't tell if there's anyone still on board, what's going on with it, but it's right there in your line of sight.
26:25
All right, I'm checking. Do computer check, see if there's something I can. No, that's not right.
26:30
Fire extinguishers.
26:30
Fire extinguishers.
26:33
Intimidate.
26:33
Demolitions. All right. Demolitions.
26:36
Demolitions. Let me see what I can do.
26:38
Exactly what you should do right now.
26:43
Grr.
26:46
Alright, first off, you're still kind of far away, so you probably want to get a little bit closer to find out what's actually going on.
26:50
Yeah, of course, that's what we're doing.
26:52
As you're coming in, you don't see anyone immediately at the cockpit. You're pretty sure that while there might be someone in there, they're not at least watching you as you currently are approaching. You also see this pulsing blue glow underneath the transport. And if you look down, you can see what appears to be a tube that's actually descended inside the rebel transport ship. The force shields are being triggered and it's actually holding in the atmosphere as well. But there's this like energy effect going on there. It's like some sort of umbilical cord.
27:25
So we can't like just shoot a hole into it because of the shield.
27:28
Well,
27:31
I guess this would be. I guess this would be like a repair check.
27:35
Oh my God.
27:36
17.
27:36
7.
27:37
All right, with the 17, that's good enough to understand that.
27:44
While you might.
27:45
Do damage to the ship, there are going to be multiple emergency systems to lock off areas that lose atmosphere. So you could do this damage as long as you don't actually hurt any systems that are underneath. From that repair check, you can also infer based on your general understanding of how these ships are laid out, that it is over the engines. So you are a little wary about just like straight up blowing it up. But maybe you could do something with some sort of controlled demolition to say separate it first and then blow it up. Done. But you may want to make sure that there's no one actually in the space directly beneath it. So let's do a splat check, my friends.
28:29
We should get on the comms and just confirm what is going on down below.
28:32
Hello?
28:32
Yeah, here he comes. Or spot checko.
28:38
Are you still down there? Well, yes, we are trying to.
28:45
Ascertain what is going on. Well, don't worry.
28:51
I don't Know what the fuck?
28:52
Either.
28:53
What the hell's happening? He's a Rodian, remember? No, I don't know this. I thought I was losing my goddamn mind again. That was in perfect English. What are you talking about? Yeah, you did notice it, Hol.
29:28
Yes, yes, I know, he is a.
29:29
Very annoying one, but we need to.
29:30
Make sure that he is alive as well.
29:33
That's you.
29:33
Tell me clearly. Talking about failures, are you on comms?
29:38
I don't know.
29:38
Am I?
29:39
Yeah, I'm on comms.
29:42
Well, thank you for not responding to.
29:44
When Pigo was asking for you to answer.
29:46
Oh, I'm terribly sorry.
29:47
I don't speak Rhodian.
29:49
What is your status? Where are you? You were working on the engines.
29:52
We just got boarded. The engines are all fine and fixed, but we got boarded. I got out of the room and sealed the door. The blast door. So it's gonna slow him down, but it's not gonna keep him out of the rest of the ship for very long.
30:04
Give me a spot check.
30:06
Hey, let me do that. 17 plus 27.
30:13
All right. You can infer. Well, you can see that they are starting to work on the door to try to bulk it through. You would guess that you probably have about a minute before they cut through and get clear.
30:25
So I got about a minute before they get through this blast door. So if you guys got any bright ideas, now is the time to do it. Now?
30:37
Yes.
30:37
Yes. You should probably go to him and help.
30:39
Yes.
30:39
Okay,
30:42
So Pico is going to go to meet with F. Just in case. Oh, that's a good idea.
30:48
Yes, he's a good idea.
30:51
But.
30:53
But we should do move as quickly as we can. We need to blow this thing up.
30:57
All right, let's. Yeah, let's do that. Controlled demolition. Demolitions, buddy.
31:01
Oh, shit. Go ahead.
31:04
Go ahead.
31:05
I'm gonna be fine.
31:06
We are. Hold on. We may wish to disengage its landing gear first before we set off any explosions.
31:15
Well, I want to keep this explosion roll.
31:20
Well, I can continue with my plan.
31:21
If you have a friendly dm, he might allow you to bank that roll knowing that was what you were rolling for.
31:26
To bank this roll, please.
31:28
And I can go ahead and throw the.
31:29
I can go ahead with the toilet and board the shuttle. We were going to throw in thermal detonator in to the door first and then go in and clear out anybody and disengage.
31:38
I am ready to fuck these guys up.
31:41
No, let's fuck them up.
31:42
Let's fuck them up good.
31:44
All right, so demolitions check, I guess, for me as well.
31:48
Yeah.
31:49
So do a demolitions check to breach the door.
31:51
No, swim.
31:57
You swim. It's good.
31:59
Eighteen.
32:00
All right. You set a charge, and the airlock bursts off like before. There's a quick explosion. The door ruptures. There's no one that comes out of this one, though. And the seal on the other side is intact. Zeph rushes in. I don't know what that was.
32:22
Yeah, I have no idea what that was.
32:26
I don't know.
32:26
Oh, dear God.
32:29
Oh, my God.
32:33
This is what happens when you say dad jokes are okay for you. They totally are. It completely lowers your standard. Just jelly. No. We're going to have a talk about the podcast in general after that. We may need to go in a new direction. J, Mike, you're up.
32:55
Welcome to the show.
32:57
All right, so.
32:59
So we run. So we run in with, you know, with their blasters ready.
33:04
Yeah.
33:05
So you and Zeph both get into the airlock and force open the door. There's no one in there, but it looks like the umbilical has been launched. So there's, like, a chamber. It looks like an escape pod, kind of two. So it's already been closed off, and it looks like it's already been launched into the ship. So if you wanted to sort of mess with the controls on the ship, you could probably get it to have its landing gears, like, disengage and then blow it up from underneath once it starts to pull free a little bit.
33:41
Okay.
33:42
Yeah, so we'll head to the cockpit and go ahead and do that.
33:44
Okay.
33:47
Computer use.
33:47
Yeah, it's a computer use.
33:49
All right.
33:49
Both of us are just gonna. Yeah, he's welcome to, like. I mean, you're wiring the bombs, right, while they're doing this? Yeah, for 20. All right.
33:57
Yeah.
33:57
So you're pretty familiar with these kind of. Kind of systems. Like, it's pretty standard for ships at this point. I mean, literally, they've been doing it for thousands of years, maybe even a thousand generations. And so you get it to disengage and, like, the ship doesn't, like, fly away. It still has this umbilical tethered into the rebel transport, but its actual, like, magnetic locks have been released. And so it's, like, floats up a little bit, and there's this, like, metal tube that kind of, like, wafts back and forth as it, like, remains in its, like, space, hovering over.
34:30
My friend.
34:31
That was.
34:31
That was very good. We should get clear before your Gungan friend kills us all.
34:38
A pimple. What you didn't even. Yeah, you missed that too. No, I do remember that. Yes. I was there for that one. That's why you didn't know were in space.
34:52
Yes.
34:53
Looked out the window and saw a pimple. That's all.
34:55
Pimple.
34:56
So Zeph and I will.
34:57
Let's just get out of here. And as we get out, we can.
35:00
Just yell the poof. Go ahead and blow.
35:02
Well, so Zeph comes over to the edge, and he has to lower himself slowly to lock his feet onto the side of the ship. Now that's risen up a little bit, and you have to do as well. So actually give me a tumble. Check on this one. Fifteen. Yeah.
35:18
All right.
35:18
Yeah. You successfully, like, get your feet locked into position and start walking away from it.
35:23
Blow it.
35:24
Hoof and hoof. Do you want to describe what it looks like when you blow up this, like, umbilical cord connecting the ship to the transport?
35:33
I actually don't know because I found a pimple and I got distracted while it was blowing up.
35:41
It's very reflective.
35:42
Are you trying to be in character right now, or are you just, like, just trying to get ahead of providing some color?
35:48
A little. A little b.
35:52
Misa thinks. Misa stupid. Oh, yeah. So it just blows up.
35:59
Pretty good description, right?
36:00
Any sparks?
36:01
Fire?
36:02
All, you know, blue.
36:04
All of it.
36:05
All right.
36:05
So the way he had set this.
36:06
Up was that sucked out of the ship.
36:08
You had a sequence wrapped around the umbilical itself of six smaller charges and then larger charges that directly attach to the actual ship itself or to the imperial shuttle itself. So the six smaller charges go off in a certain sequence around it, and that breaks the cord and it starts to fly back up. And after about 10 seconds, the actual explosions on the ship pierces it. Now, everyone was off, but if they hadn't been, they would have been like the entire bottom of the shuttle essentially, like, explodes outwards. But the rest of the hull remains relatively intact, and it just like, flies or drifts off into space.
36:47
Do the troopers that are in the engine room, do they get sucked out?
36:52
No, the.
36:53
They have the other end closed.
36:55
The other end is closed. And actually that energy field that you noticed before is now actually completely covering the gap. It's like keeping the atmosphere in.
37:02
Crap, I'm going to die.
37:04
So on.
37:05
On comms, we got it.
37:06
We're.
37:06
I want to tell Failures there.
37:07
We.
37:08
We've gotten. We've gotten rid of the shuttle, but tell me. Yeah, failures. We've gotten rid of the shuttle and. But the troopers are still in the engine room. So you guys need to be prepared for them to come on board.
37:20
All right, let's get through the door.
37:22
Spot check for something to hide behind.
37:23
So.
37:23
And that will give me a clear shot as they come through the door.
37:26
Yeah, there's a bulkhead that you can get behind. Nice.
37:28
I'm setting myself up there.
37:29
Okay. Pico joins behind you. Hey. And also gets ready. Jeez, Sticking up on me.
37:39
All right, cool. He's been there for a little bit, has he?
37:41
Yeah, he said he was coming to join you. Oh, yeah, I didn't notice him. I was really into my work. Oh, yeah, we can tell.
37:50
The.
37:51
The hatch starts to melt through and three stormtroopers emerge into the room. Give me an initiative roll, please. 16.
38:05
Okay.
38:12
All right. They don't see you when they initially move in, so you have a second if you want to like too many things special.
38:24
No, I think I'm just gonna shoot one in the face.
38:25
All right, so you pop. You pop out the fire.
38:28
Go.
38:32
12.
38:38
No, unfortunately.
38:41
Well, that's unfortunate.
38:43
Piggo rises up and come on off a shot. That's a hit.
38:50
Yeah, right.
38:52
Even the failure shot first he hit.
38:56
You hear over the comment like that wasn't a compliment.
39:00
Oh, well, this is awkward.
39:03
Well, I'm complimenting him. I'm trying here. I. I know.
39:25
The troopers open fire on you guys. They take disadvantage because you guys have coverage. And the first one that one misses, One of them hits you. You phallius. Well, actually, what's your defense?
39:39
12.
39:39
Yeah.
39:39
One of them hits you and you take three points of vitality damage. Oh, snap. The blaster ball hits you like. Well, I guess it doesn't technically hit you because of the way vitality works, but you just barely avoid getting shot. How are you doing, by the way, health wise?
39:55
26 vitality.
39:56
Oh, okay, cool.
39:57
You're not doing. That's with the minus three.
39:59
Yeah, you're doing okay. Okay. You're up, by the way.
40:03
All right, let's do this.
40:04
Do it.
40:04
Shooting him back in the face. I rolled a 21.
40:10
Okay, that's a hit.
40:11
Woo.
40:13
All right, give me a damage roll.
40:14
I don't have a. How much. How much is that?
40:18
The, the. The standard blasters, unless you had a better One, is a 2D Six.
40:22
Okay. Five. Okay.
40:26
I do have a heavy luster for some reason.
40:28
Have a viral blade. No, he's like a knife guy.
40:31
I like it up and personal.
40:32
Yeah.
40:33
Which you're welcome to do if you.
40:34
Want to, but they're.
40:35
I'll wait till they get close. Only a few feet away from you at the end. All right.
40:38
Don't run the entire length of the hall. Suppressing, knifing, suppressing knife.
40:51
Pico lets off a shot and misses.
40:54
Damn it, Pico. I'm just saying you gave me shit. I'm doing the best I can. I'm just saying you need to hold up your end too. Seriously, we don't have time for this.
41:07
Hit him.
41:09
Look out, they're gonna shoot back.
41:10
Pico gets shot in the arm.
41:12
God damn it, Pico.
41:13
While he's arguing, he's like flailing his arms, arguing with you, and it just like gets under his arms.
41:18
I told you to watch out for.
41:20
That's what I'm telling you.
41:22
I don't have time for this shit.
41:23
Pico.
41:24
They're gonna kill us.
41:27
I swear to God, Pico. I swear to God.
41:32
You're up, Pelleas.
41:33
By the way.
41:36
22.
41:37
Okay, that's definitely a hit. That first trooper that you got a shot off him before goes down.
41:45
See, that's what I'm talking about, Pico. That's how you do it. P. Now, Pigo or Pico, who the hell knows with this guy?
41:54
Who knows that a Pico.
41:56
De.
41:58
Guys, everyone.
41:58
His name is Pigo.
42:00
Pigo. P. Well, why don't Pigo shoot somebody?
42:05
Listening to the comms, it sounds like he has.
42:07
He's once. I've just taken out two. Come on, Pigo, it's your turn. I don't want to hear about how bad your goddamn arm hurts.
42:20
Piggo lets off a shot and actually does succeed on a crit.
42:25
Thank you.
42:29
And with that shot, he hits one of the two remaining squarely in the head. And it goes down. Oh, shit. Yeah.
42:36
All right, Piggo.
42:40
All right.
42:40
Nobody likes a bragger.
42:43
Now you understand how we feel about you. Tell us.
42:49
All.
42:49
Cops, right?
42:53
The humans got a silly friends. Their short tongue is such a stupid thing.
43:01
Yeah, Anytime you want to jump in and help their slippery gym.
43:03
Anytime someone has to stay and supervise. Alright.
43:08
I didn't realize this was a union ship.
43:09
Alright, let's go.
43:15
The remaining trooper rushes towards you guys, trying to butt you with the edge of his gun and totally misses you.
43:24
Oh, this is my game now.
43:26
Yeah, so he's right up on you. He tried to swing with the butt of his rifle and missed.
43:31
All right, I'm going to pull out my vibro knife, okay? And I'm just gonna go right up underneath the chin, right into his head.
43:36
Cool. Give me an attack roll on that. 15. 15 total with my melee bonus.
43:47
No.
43:47
So like you catch the armor, but you don't actually damn him. Get in deep. Peego lets off a shot at point blank range.
43:55
Come on, Pigo. Come on, Peego. Doesn't make me look bad.
43:58
Come on.
43:59
Vigorous.
44:00
The shot blows off the helmet, but the guy is still standing there. Like it was really effective though, at disabling his armor. Okay, that's gotta stun him, right? Yeah, he's like dazed, so he actually doesn't get to go. Now it's your go. And do it with a roll with advantage twice and roll the better of the two.
44:26
21.
44:27
Okay, that's a hit. Give me a stab. Check.
44:34
Five.
44:35
All right. In his unexposed or his exposed face, your vibro blade slides in. Would you care to describe how it looks?
44:44
I've dreamt about this moment. We may need to edit this Patreon.
44:51
Exclusive R rated cut.
44:56
I punch him in the face with the butt of the knife. And then I. And from the bounce back, brings his head up. I swing a wild slash across his neck and it just slices open his neck and blood just slowly begins to trickle out. And then it just sort of gushes red, like a red biblical down his shirt as he just collapses into cold death.
45:25
Yeah. So even though he initially was wearing the white of an imperial Stormtrooper, by the time all of this is done, it appears to be wearing the red of an imperial guard, as the good Lord intended.
45:38
That's what I'm talking about, Piggo. Teamwork. You are the way.
45:41
Hidden.
45:43
Give him a high five.
45:45
He's like, starts to raise his bad hand and then he like raises the other one.
45:49
There you go.
45:49
Gives it to you.
45:51
Good job, Pigo.
45:52
If you two are done making the kissy faces, perhaps we could figure out.
45:58
What we're doing next. I mean, to be fair, he does.
46:00
Have sort of the duck face. All right, Piggo, what do we gotta do to get out of like, where do we gotta go? There's nobody left.
46:09
Well, I'll just say we're on the.
46:11
Is everybody's coms.
46:12
Let's all meet in the cockpit and. And let's figure out what our next is.
46:16
That sounds like a good idea.
46:18
All right, to the cockpit.
46:20
I follow you.
46:21
Come on, Piggo.
46:23
All right, so you guys, the two parties that were on the outside of the ship, make their way back in. So you come on board and Garth meets you there. It's like, guys, thanks so much for everything. We're going to see this one through. But there's still some Ships out there. We. We. I don't know. You can either dock your ship inside our transport. It's large enough for that, or we can split off. But either way, we need to get out of here.
46:54
Well, so obviously you have, you know, special. You know, someone or some. Some cargo that's special. So I suggest. I don't know. I'm just talking among the group with the group at this.
47:08
Thanks.
47:09
It is.
47:09
But you guys are all in the room, so it's this weird delay.
47:13
Right. We're right here.
47:15
Oh.
47:15
Oh, I'm sorry.
47:16
Thank you.
47:25
Do we want to stay with these guys?
47:27
Well, I would say, like, we've helped them. We've got all their systems back online. Let's get into.
47:33
Where are you guys at, Slippery. Where are you headed, Slippery Jim?
47:37
Well, you know, when I. What I was trying to say was, my boy Garth here and Piggo. This very important to the Rebellion.
47:47
Piggo's important to the Rebellion?
47:49
Oh, Pigo is a master. Important to the Rebellion. He's the best slicer I know.
47:53
Really.
47:57
Guards up like.
47:58
Yeah, we.
47:59
What's your deal?
48:00
And I.
48:00
We. We're pretty sure that if we can get away, we have the skill and now the right information to hack the holonets. If we can get away and monitor some Imperial signals. We think that we might be able to get on the HoloNet sequence and then crack this whole Death Star thing wide open. Like the whole Empire would know that it wasn't just some rebel assault. That they can't just say that were terrorists attacking things. That it was the Empire attacking its own citizens.
48:33
Oh, so these are like our rebel hacktivists.
48:36
Wait a minute.
48:37
Can you hack your way. Can you slice your way into Imperial data?
48:42
I mean, we figured out a way to like, track signals and the drone ships that go off from space and connect the different HoloNet frequencies. Like we would need to track one down first before we can get on, but.
48:56
My God, are you really thinking about your stupid conspiracy theory about this other project? We gotta take care of this battle here at Argon.
49:03
Hold on, hold on. Look, if the Empire has something going on, we need to find out about it. Exactly.
49:08
And they do have something going on. Did you guys notice that TIE fighter.
49:11
Had SHIELD Classified information?
49:12
The TIE fighter? I saw a TIE fighter have shields.
49:15
Most ships have shields.
49:16
TIE fighters don't. God damn it. Everybody knows that. It would have to be some sort of pretty prototype new ship.
49:24
That new.
49:24
It's.
49:25
They've been doing it for like 15 years.
49:27
Where you been?
49:29
Not En masse. Not in mass. Most. Most TIE fighters don't have shields.
49:34
No.
49:34
Yes, this is true.
49:35
Most. Most TIE fighters don't have the more advanced.
49:37
Like 99 of them don't.
49:40
But we've seen enough ships have the.
49:42
Basic debris reflecting shields. But it's true. Most TIE fighters don't have the. The more powerful energy shot deflecting shields.
49:48
So don't try to retcon this, but.
49:50
All ships have shields.
49:53
Jesus Christ.
49:55
He is God.
49:59
Bullshit. All I'm saying is the will of the case. There's more to this than this.
50:08
You better figure out this shit soon.
50:10
Because Whisa need to be moving out of here real quick.
50:13
Are we gonna fight?
50:13
Are you gonna dock your ship inside?
50:16
Are you gonna just travel in tandem?
50:18
No, because all we're gonna do is just fly into another Imperial trap. Let's fly with these guys for a while and fly into another Imperial trap.
50:25
We don't want to see what's happening on Argonar.
50:27
Make sure almost everyone is off of Argonar.
50:29
Okay.
50:30
We said we are way smarter than the Imperials.
50:33
We.
50:33
We knew they were coming. We. We got our together.
50:35
All right.
50:36
We'll stick with them. We'll dock and then stick with them.
50:38
I want to find out with these slicers now.
50:39
All right.
50:40
Let's do this.
50:40
All right, can. Can I have a crew go up onto the Susan and then move it into position to actually dock inside.
50:46
This is you. This is you. Hi. I'm going to move in the Susan into position so I can dock inside the ship.
50:55
This is unfair.
50:56
This is unfair.
50:57
Come on.
50:57
Move on.
50:59
All right, here we go.
51:02
Give me a piloting check to do it.
51:03
Pilot check. Whoa.
51:08
Wow. Shoot an eye out with that thing.
51:15
15.
51:16
Okay, once you get into the Susan and you take off from the airlock and start to move it into position, you are successfully getting it lined up into position over the common sleeper gems like.
51:30
God damn it, you stupid bastard. Move faster.
51:34
Right? No, no, no. I don't. No jackrabbit here, nice and slow.
51:39
Don't move faster.
51:43
Okay. Think about baseball.
51:44
Think about baseball.
51:46
We search seating ducks out here. Even with our boys having gotten their.
51:51
Sheeps online and the shields, and even.
51:53
With the short tongue getting the guns, we're fucked.
51:58
Well, no,
52:00
Just as you are about to get the ship into the dock, you see a group of TIE fighters arcing in your general direction. And as they start to close in a.
52:16
Wait. Do these TIE fighters have shields?
52:18
Well, you're about to find out. Because an Imperial transport Vessel that's been spinning around in space collides with them, creating a giant explosion. You see a small blue pulse indicating that there may have been shields, but more importantly, a giant explosion. And then a snow cloud of foam in space as the booby trap that Reggie had rigged goes off.
52:37
Nice. Nice.
52:38
Those fire extinguishers.
52:40
I got them. Bastards.
52:42
That was a pretty good trick you.
52:43
Guys taught me with the fire extinguishers. Some good stuff.
52:47
That's some coverage.
52:48
Can't eat an old cloth. Little new tricks.
52:52
Hey, Fendir. Really, dad? That's dad jokes.
52:55
Really?
52:56
I always make dad jokes. And he criticized me for Finn Deere.
52:59
Right.
52:59
Cause you don't have kids.
53:01
Why don't you finish docking that ship?
53:03
Give me another piloting check. That's so hard.
53:06
Think of baseball.
53:07
Oh, I know.
53:08
It's okay. 16.
53:11
Okay.
53:12
The ship.
53:13
Okay, the ship docks and the hatches shut on it. And everyone sort of like gets into position to man this transport ship over the comms like slippery Jim chimes and.
53:26
Is like, we're heading to some friends of mine.
53:30
I got a buddy, he's a drunk.
53:33
Bastard, but he'll take care of us.
53:35
While we need to research the data that we need.
53:38
So next up, we're heading to Bespin.
53:40
All right. And with that, we're going to end the session here.
53:47
Well, I mean, that's a great spot to end at.
53:50
I'm excited about Bespin because of course we better meet Lando. And seriously, I want to get a cape when I go to shopping for Lando.
53:56
Man, I'm a lobot.
53:58
Are you gonna get like, whatever his head, like the ear set earphones or whatever his cyborg headset thing?
54:07
You wanna try that again? Yeah.
54:10
And.
54:13
Yes, I do. You can edit that in later. Yeah, and I'm just gonna keep that in just the way it is with my proposed edit. No, but seriously, I'm pretty excited about this.
54:25
This is gonna be awesome.
54:26
Yeah.
