Notes

Combat and Tactical Engagement

The group faced escalating combat challenges, culminating in a narrow escape aided by unexpected allies (03:13).

  • Intense firefight with stormtroopers put the team under heavy pressure, with multiple members sustaining serious wounds (04:28)

    • Characters like Hoof and Phelius dealt damage but also received hits, highlighting the fight’s lethality

    • Attempts to use demolitions to create lethal environmental hazards failed, limiting tactical options

    • The fight shifted from skill challenges to pure combat, increasing urgency and danger

  • Arrival of Neimoidian battle droids shifted battle dynamics, providing critical suppression fire that decimated remaining stormtroopers (16:00)

    • Droids’ precise targeting prevented further damage to the team and eliminated enemy threats swiftly

    • This unexpected support enabled the team to regroup and plan their retreat

  • Final push to escape was aided by Reggie and service droids, who neutralized nearby imperials and cleared a path to the ship (21:02)

    • Reggie’s heavy blaster fire and reactivated service droids created a safe corridor for retreat

    • The team boarded the ship amid heavy fire, requiring shield deployment to survive incoming attacks

  • TIE fighter engagement introduced high-risk escape conditions, with Reggie’s droideka destroying a shielded TIE and causing a chain explosion among enemy fighters (24:18)

    • The droideka’s shield technology burned through the TIE fighter’s defenses, causing massive damage

    • The team performed multiple pilot and navigation checks to evade enemy fire and clear the area before hyperspace jump

Character Status and Recovery

The party managed survival despite serious injuries and resource constraints, preparing for the next phase of travel (36:05).

  • Multiple characters sustained wounds throughout combat, with Hoof notably down to two wounds and others injured (11:10)

    • Limited use of two med packs allowed partial treatment, restoring vitality but not full health

    • The group rested and recuperated during a two to three-hour window of travel, improving condition slightly

  • Repair efforts focused on Reggie’s damaged leg, which is a mechanical hydraulic shaft essential for mobility and combat (34:43)

    • Despite challenges, the team’s intimidate check prevented enemy use of the limb in combat

    • Repairs progressed enough to restore basic walking ability by the end of travel

  • Fendir’s stress and fear of hyperdrive remained a concern, though he managed to pilot the ship through a small jump successfully (37:16)

    • His anxiety limits full rest and readiness, indicating a potential risk in future high-pressure navigation

Strategic Movement and Mission Progress

The team’s mission pivoted toward delivering critical intelligence to rebel forces, setting up the next major objective (37:16).

  • Decision to head for Argonaur as the rebel rendezvous point was made to relay newly obtained vital information (37:16)

    • Argonaur identified as safer, less known location compared to more famous planets like Hoth

    • The planned hyperspace jump will take about 10 hours following a one-hour trajectory calculation

  • Mission objective clarified: get crucial intel about the Empire’s presence beyond the Death Star to rebel leadership (34:43)

    • Reggie, a former clone trooper, holds sensitive information that must be protected from Imperial interrogation

    • The team’s cover identities underscore the secrecy and danger of their mission

  • Arrival at Argonaur reveals ongoing battle with Empire forces, indicating immediate danger upon exit from hyperspace (38:33)

    • This sets up a direct confrontation with Imperial forces as the next challenge

    • The narrative ends on this cliffhanger, highlighting continuous conflict and urgency

Team Dynamics and Role Assignments

The group showed evolving roles and interpersonal dynamics influencing mission execution and survival (00:04).

  • Reggie emerged as a critical combat and tactical asset, providing fire support and clearing paths (21:02)

    • His mechanical enhancements and former clone trooper status add unique capabilities and vulnerabilities

    • Repair and medical attention for Reggie’s leg became a high priority for mobility and combat readiness

  • Fendir’s piloting skills proved essential, managing complex maneuvers under fire and navigating escape routes (26:01)

    • Despite personal fears, he successfully completed multiple pilot checks vital for survival

    • His stress limits full rest, indicating a need for support from other team members

  • Collaborative combat efforts included coordinated attacks, sharing targets and focusing fire to eliminate threats efficiently (06:22)

    • Characters like Phelius and Fo sho contributed with well-timed shots

    • The team’s combined efforts, including the use of force powers by Addie, created tactical advantages

  • Communication and morale reflected humor and camaraderie, balancing tension with light-hearted banter and inside jokes (11:10)

    • This helped maintain team cohesion under extreme pressure

    • Shared identities and code names support operational security and group identity

Technology and Equipment Use

The team leveraged limited resources and unique technology to survive and advance their mission (04:28).

  • Demolitions and environmental controls were explored but mostly unsuccessful, limiting battlefield options (06:22)

    • Attempts to activate evaporation gates as traps were hindered by safety protocols and failed checks

    • This constrained tactical flexibility during engagements with stormtroopers

  • Use of shields on the ship was critical during enemy fire, protecting the group during boarding and escape (22:35)

    • Shield deployment absorbed multiple shots, preventing ship destruction despite heavy damage

    • Coordinated timing of shields with boarding and escape maneuvers was vital to survival

  • Reggie’s droideka unit with red shields played a key offensive role, breaking through enemy defenses and causing chain reactions (24:18)

    • The droideka’s mobility and shield strength allowed it to engage the shielded TIE fighter effectively

    • This technology provided a decisive edge during the TIE fighter confrontation

  • Med packs and repair kits were in short supply, forcing careful rationing and prioritization for healing and mechanical fixes (36:05)

    • Limited med packs meant only partial healing was possible during rest periods

    • Repair efforts focused on critical mechanical limbs rather than full restoration

Narrative and Setting Context

The session emphasized ongoing conflict, secret identities, and the broader scope of the Galactic struggle (00:04).

  • The party’s identities and backstories are deliberately obscured for security, with fake names and hidden pasts (34:43)

    • Reggie’s clone trooper origin adds complexity and potential risks if exposed

    • Humor about names reflects the characters’ efforts to maintain morale under stress

  • The Death Star’s presence is a known but limited threat, with players learning it is only the beginning of the Empire’s plans (34:43)

    • Intelligence gathered suggests larger Imperial operations beyond the Death Star

    • This informs the urgency of reaching rebel forces with new information

  • The setting includes iconic Star Wars elements like battle droids, TIE fighters, and service droids, grounding the story in familiar lore (16:00)

    • Modified TIE fighters with unusual features introduced, indicating evolving Imperial tech

    • The presence of service droids aiding the rebels adds a technological twist to the battle

  • The narrative ends on a high-tension note with the ship arriving at a contested rebel rendezvous, setting up continued storylines (38:33)

    • Immediate combat around the arrival point signals ongoing danger

    • The cliffhanger invites continuation and engagement with the unfolding saga

01:05

Cory
Hey, everyone. I am Hu Flung Dung Misa Gungan. And I am a soldier, a failed singer. And I love long walks on the beach and watching movies.

01:15

Case
Who is flying by?

01:16

Cory
And I also have a.

01:18

Ben
You're done.

01:19

Cory
Okay.

01:22

Ben
God, Eddie.

01:26

Addy
So brutal.

01:27

Case
I know.

01:28

Ben
He was looking. He was searching for materials, so I was helping.

01:31

Case
Yeah, that's true, Mr. Keeping your eye alive.

01:34

Ben
I am Fosho.

01:35

Addy
I am a Force Adept. I am a Kel Dor. I am the hi Woman.

01:40

Case
Hear me roar.

01:41

Addy
No, I'm a little bit of a Force user. Not a lot of a Force user. So go ahead, Ben.

01:47

Ben
I am Phallus Vazhkiller, a human Fringer. I have been out on the Outer Rim making a living just kind of as a loner. All right?

01:58

Shawn
And, hi, I'm Sean. I'm playing the part of Fendir Pickup. I'm anthorian scout who is an excellent pilot on late nights on the vhs. And I pulled Linux on my spare time. And I'm happy to be here, thank you.

02:15

Ben
All right, guys, Everyone, Yes.

02:21

Case
If you would all be so kind as to roll a D20 for me.

02:27

Ben
10, 13, 14.

02:31

Case
All right, Ben.

02:32

Ben
So you're the one to do the.

02:33

Case
Ben, you're getting all the recap.

02:34

Ben
Bonus. Bad news, guys. You don't know what happened. You only have to listen to that last episode to know. I don't know what happened.

02:42

Case
All right, here's what I remember.

02:44

Ben
We escaped from the brothel, trying to fight our way out. Bad things were happening. Things got confusing. I may or may not have punched you to try and kill you? Oh.

02:53

Addy
May or may have not.

02:54

Ben
I wasn't trying to kill you. I definitely hit you, though. And were kind of, like, boxed in, and then all of a sudden, Reggie showed up and is leading us to our way out, I guess. Man, that was a long episode ago.

03:13

Case
It's okay. Thank you. You are, empirically speaking, correct. Maybe the specific details can be a.

03:24

Ben
Little more fleshed out. As a Fringer d.

03:29

Case
Just these drone accounts of everything. It's like his life story is just Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. It's like. I'm pretty sure I was fighting Wookiees. Maybe they were something else.

03:38

Ben
I don't know. I don't know.

03:40

Case
Guys, Guys. I went to this one world. It was a moon of some planet, and there were these tiny Wookies everywhere. It was crazy. And then I found myself, you know, the drugs took hold, and next thing I knew, I was on a desert world with an actual Wookiee. I don't know. It's weird. It's weird. A group of five troopers have come up behind you guys and are opening fire. One just hit your ally. What do you want to do? Because they're coming at you. They're about 30ft away.

04:04

Cory
About 30ft away. I want to create a diversion so them two can get away, so I'm gonna go ahead and use escape Artist.

04:11

Ben
Everybody's so desperately trying to kill themselves in this game. He's Jar. I'm on a roll, all right? I'm getting high rolls here, so I feel limitless.

04:22

Case
Wait.

04:22

Ben
Sorry.

04:22

Case
By the way, this is now a straight up fight. This is no longer a sch challenge. This is now a straight up fight. They're. They're coming at you and shooting at you.

04:28

Ben
Yeah. No more skill challenges now.

04:30

Case
You just got to kill people. Yeah.

04:32

Ben
Roll that die.

04:33

Cory
Roll that die. 16 total.

04:39

Case
Okay, you hit. Roll for damage. That's, I believe, 3D8.

04:42

Ben
14.

04:44

Case
14. You hit one of them, and it's clearly hit. Its armor takes some of the brunt. So it's not down, but it's been hit. Okay, so you've got five total. Still rushing at you guys. Fo sho. You're up 10. You mean this? Yeah.

05:10

Ben
Well, damn. Way to go, Stormtrooper.

05:12

Case
We're gonna stay on this fight for the moment. So, Phelius, you're up here.

05:16

Ben
15.

05:18

Cory
That's a hit.

05:21

Case
So I think your blaster is 3D6. 15 damage. Okay? You hit the same one that Hoof shot at before, and you take it Dies.

05:31

Ben
I got you, buddy.

05:32

Case
Yeah.

05:33

Addy
Where you fail, I succeed.

05:35

Cory
I know.

05:36

Case
I'm trying to figure out.

05:37

Addy
I'm so bitter that you made all that loud noise.

05:40

Ben
Lay back. I'm gonna make loud love to you.

05:46

Addy
I'm moving on the hoof.

05:48

Ben
Jar Jar Wick over there.

05:53

Case
So they unload a bevy of shots, and the only person that's hit is failures.

06:00

Ben
Oh, God damn it.

06:01

Case
Bailius. Takes six points of damage.

06:03

Ben
Vitality or wound?

06:05

Case
Well, vitality, I have three Health. So then there's three wound points. Attract or that you lose.

06:12

Cory
Okay.

06:12

Case
All right. I'm at 11. Excuse me. Okay, 11. Okay. All right, so we're back up to the beginning of the order. So, hoof, they're firing at you. You're down to four. They're shooting at you.

06:24

Cory
Yeah. Is there anything I can use for demolitions? Like, I'm looking around, like, is there anything? Like, do I have. I don't have anything. Anything. Yeah, according to this, I have a fire extinguisher.

06:34

Case
Not really. On your first, that was in the. You grab the one that was used to blow up the OR to create the safe passage there before there is a deactivated evaporation arch that they're about to walk through. I would say you can use demolitions to activate it and try to go crazy on it. So this is going to be a hard check to make it a lethal armor kind of use. But if you make it, you'll get two of them as they're, like, crossing through it.

07:06

Cory
Boom. All right, so 220.

07:09

Case
Yep.

07:13

Addy
Best roll yet.

07:14

Cory
I got a one.

07:15

Ben
Oh, no.

07:17

Cory
Plus my demolition. So it's a four.

07:20

Case
All right, demolition, I got six. Now. So you try to, like, patch into the panel and nothing really happens. You're just sort of, like, pressing buttons. And unfortunately, that was your turn as a result.

07:33

Ben
Jesus Christ.

07:34

Case
Foe, you're up again. Get him, killer.

07:40

Addy
Yeah, I'll take another shot.

07:42

Case
So two of these guys have just walked through a deactivated evaporation gate, which is what he was trying to work on. The other two are about to cross through it.

07:49

Ben
Okay,

07:51

Case
20. And you're taking a shot.

07:53

Addy
Yeah.

07:54

Case
Okay. That was at wood disadvantage, right?

07:56

Ben
Yes.

07:56

Case
Okay. Really? Okay, cool. So, yeah, you hit one of the two that's up front. So give me a damage roll. I believe it's 3D. Six, nine. All right, you hit it again. His armor soaks up some of the damage.

08:09

Ben
You're the only person who can hit a stormtrooper in the armor, and it doesn't kill him.

08:13

Case
He already hit. The only reason you killed him is that he was already hit pretty bad.

08:18

Ben
Teamwork makes the screen work. Once again, I gotta finish the job for you, Alice.

08:23

Case
You can target the same one. Seven. Seven total. Your shot goes wild. Like a stormtrooper shot. All right, they're up now.

08:33

Ben
I'm not proud of that. I'm more of a gambler than a.

08:39

Addy
Yeah, you're also the kind of guy who runs up to a turret on Gavin and uses computer use instead of shooting it.

08:45

Ben
Potato, potato. I didn't have shooting skill. Poof.

08:50

Case
You take a shot.

08:52

Shawn
All right. Sure.

08:53

Cory
Shot of what?

08:54

Case
You take eight points of vitality damage.

08:56

Ben
Let it happen. Let it happen. Go to the light.

08:59

Cory
Okay. I'm at four vitality points.

09:02

Ben
Man, where is that clone when we need him?

09:06

Case
All right, and we're back up to the top of the order. Hoof, you're up. You can either shoot at them. You can try to do the demolitions thing again. The last two are walking through demolitions.

09:18

Cory
I got it.

09:22

Ben
What do you get?

09:23

Case
10 total.

09:24

Ben
10 total?

09:27

Case
No, unfortunately, it does not work.

09:29

Cory
Build again.

09:31

Case
So you're working on it. You successfully turned it on, but you didn't turn it on at any sort of setting that would have been outside of its safety protocols to make it lethal to someone that was a human in armor.

09:43

Ben
Victory is mine. Let's get it. Not today. It's time.

09:47

Cory
So we're back.

09:47

Case
We're back to foe the. There's a wounded stormtrooper and three healthy ones coming at you guys.

09:52

Shawn
You can do it.

09:53

Addy
I'm taking a shot at another one. At one of the healthy ones.

09:56

Case
How do you sacrifice your magic? Okay.

10:03

Ben
Oh, no. Oh, no.

10:08

Case
That again. Roll that again.

10:12

Ben
Oh, no. I wanna live. 20. Oh, no.

10:15

Case
Okay, so you just miss. You fire off a shot and you just miss. Bailious, you're up.

10:23

Ben
Oh, my God. Addie. 11.

10:27

Addy
I know, right?

10:31

Case
Could have killed 11 total. You miss.

10:34

Ben
Wow, we are amazing.

10:36

Addy
You had more fails than me today. Don't say we. I worked an amazing illusion out. I got some force lightning today and I got some. I crushed some stormtroopers.

10:48

Ben
Fantastic.

10:49

Case
You take another shot. Nice shot.

10:52

Cory
What?

10:53

Case
You take 11 points of damage.

10:55

Ben
Oh, snap. Hoof be dead.

10:58

Cory
No, hoof is at two wounds.

11:01

Case
Two wounds?

11:02

Cory
You said 11.

11:03

Case
Yeah, three wounds.

11:04

Cory
I meant three.

11:05

Ben
Hoof, almost.

11:06

Case
So that shot hits you and you're like that. Like got you in the stomach and you're like. You're feeling it right there. Like, this is nuts.

11:17

Ben
Going to nuts it on you.

11:20

Addy
Really?

11:21

Ben
I don't know to do that.

11:22

Addy
He's thinking of the wookie. He can't get that wookie out of his head. He just.

11:27

Ben
That's why he wants to kill us all. Here, wookie.

11:30

Case
Oh, no. Sorry, Hoof. Here.

11:31

Ben
Up.

11:31

Shawn
You're. That was.

11:32

Case
That was you getting hit. But it's your turn. So they're clear of that gate, so you can't really do the demolition trick anymore.

11:39

Cory
What if I can intimidate them with my three wounds?

11:43

Case
I would recommend you just try to shoot the one that was already wounded.

11:45

Cory
Just shoot the one that's already wounded.

11:47

Ben
Try to kill somebody, buddy.

11:50

Addy
It looks like I fancy right at.

11:51

Ben
This point,

11:54

Cory
Trump is thinking of his failed singing career. He's having flashbacks now.

12:02

Ben
Why do you think about your career?

12:05

Case
Thinking about your career is always a critical fail.

12:07

Ben
You don't focus on your failures.

12:09

Case
Roll that again.

12:10

Ben
I'm rolling it again. And I'm thinking of victory. Thinking of victory. This is how Addie dies.

12:16

Case
Six total.

12:18

Cory
Yeah. Well, seven total.

12:21

Ben
Six.

12:22

Case
Wait, there's no way that you're. Hold on. You rolled a six just now.

12:25

Ben
Yeah.

12:26

Shawn
You guys should name this episode. Remember the atoll?

12:29

Ben
Yeah, I know, right? I think it's gonna have to be.

12:35

Case
That's an 11. That is just enough to not hit anyone if you were shooting at the one that was already wounded.

12:46

Shawn
Are you guys all about to die?

12:47

Cory
Sweet.

12:48

Ben
I think so. Yeah.

12:50

Cory
We are.

12:51

Case
Foe.

12:51

Ben
If we could get on comms with.

12:52

Addy
Bendy and tell him to remember us.

12:56

Ben
Save yourself. Foe.

12:57

Case
You're up.

12:58

Ben
As he slowly flies away, that's when.

13:01

Shawn
We die from space with crisp, clean, folded towels.

13:05

Ben
They're like, oh, well, this guy's not even trying to run. Be okay. Let him go. He's clearly not a rebel. He's not even trying to run.

13:15

Addy
Well, this guy really embodies flying casually.

13:20

Case
Oh, you're out.

13:22

Ben
Make magic happen, Addie. I can take another shot. Kenobi, you're our only hope. Well, no, you know what?

13:27

Addy
We can do something a little bit more dramatic.

13:29

Ben
Oh, no.

13:33

Addy
Do another move object and try to bring, like, the corridor down on the stormtroopers.

13:41

Case
Okay.

13:45

Ben
16.

13:48

Case
All right. As with before, you're able to sort of rotate the axis of gravity for them, and so they all slip back and they, like, slide. They're all scratching, crawling at the floor, which is now their wall. As they slide down, they are able to fall through. The one that was hit before goes through the evaporation field and actually seems to pass out and falls all the way. The other two are able to catch themselves Or. Pardon me. The other three are able to catch themselves. They're now a decent way away, but they're pretty much as far as you can easily see. But they seem to be righting themselves and getting up. But the one that was unconscious or is now unconscious is probably dead.

14:34

Addy
Nice.

14:35

Case
But you're feeling really weak. Yeah, anything will probably push you over the edge on that one and knock you out. Phelius, you're up.

14:44

Ben
I am going to run at them and attack.

14:50

Case
Fire at them. Okay.

14:51

Ben
And yell at these two to run to the. Get to the ship. And I'm gonna use my heroic surge so I can do an additional attack.

14:59

Case
Sure. All right, so you're getting two attacks.

15:00

Ben
Yes.

15:01

Case
Cool. Seven. Okay, so you miss. 20. Roll it again. 17. Roll your damage. You hit one of them. Give me a six.

15:22

Ben
Eight.

15:23

Case
Eight total.

15:23

Ben
Yeah.

15:24

Case
Okay, you hit the guy, and he seems to be hit pretty hard.

15:28

Ben
Okay, you better run. You better run.

15:34

Case
Okay, so you get that shot off, and it's hit pretty damn hard. Its armor seems to be the only thing that's prevented it from just being completely blown away by that shot.

15:44

Ben
When did stormtroopers get armor that actually helped them?

15:47

Case
The nature of the rules of this game is that armor does a little bit of help. It's not a lie, but a little bit of help.

15:52

Ben
Man, Princess Leia must have been a.

15:56

Case
Hell of a shot. Yes. Yes, she was. I'll tell you this, she wasn't. Level three.

16:04

Ben
True.

16:05

Addy
Fair enough.

16:07

Case
All right. A hail of fire comes past, but it all seems to miss. And then you guys hear a pitter patter feet as a bunch of Neimoidian battle droids come round the corner. It's about five of them. And they all position guns. They form a straight line across. They all razor guns. And then they sort of shift over into, like, weird positions where the gunshots exactly whiz right by you as if a computer had specifically targeted them not to hit you and hit the stormtroopers. The one bend that you had hit before goes down dead. So there's two left, and they're firing off or they're sort of readying themselves. So now we've got these. The droids are now, like, laying waste as well. Hoof, we're back up to you.

17:00

Addy
I'm going to use hide.

17:02

Ben
I said run, motherfucker.

17:07

Case
If you want to try to hide. I'm not hiding.

17:09

Cory
I'm just kidding.

17:13

Ben
I didn't sacrifice myself so you can hide. Get to the goddamn shop. Sacrificed yourself. You got one out of two shots. Let's calm down. I did the best I could. Yeah.

17:22

Case
He's now noticeably closer to them and definitely the target of the last two.

17:27

Cory
Maybe I should use diplomacy and see if I can talk to the last two. All right, well, I guess we're going to be running then.

17:36

Ben
No way.

17:37

Addy
You run. I'm running too.

17:39

Ben
Thank you for listening.

17:40

Cory
So I was trying to run earlier.

17:42

Case
Where we need to go. Okay, so what do I need to run? So you're just running? So you're just running?

17:47

Cory
Yeah, we're just.

17:47

Case
Okay, you're just moving your speed.

17:48

Cory
I'm using escape artist.

17:49

Case
So with you running that speed, you're basically. You're almost to where the line of droids are on your turn.

17:56

Shawn
Okay.

17:56

Case
Okay, so Fosho, you're up.

17:59

Ben
You're up, buddy.

18:03

Addy
I'm gonna continue running, so I guess.

18:05

Case
So you're also gonna sort of move and. Okay, so you guys almost make it to the droids in your turn. Phelius, you are up at the moment.

18:15

Ben
Awesome. I'm gonna attack.

18:18

Case
Okay. 15. All right, let's do a hit. Give it a shot.

18:25

Ben
6:12.

18:32

Case
All right. You kill one of the stormtroopers.

18:35

Ben
Yeah.

18:38

Case
One's left. And he tries to fire at you and he misses. And the battle droids all sort of position themselves. They shift back and forth a little bit to get into the right spot. And then they all line off their shots and kill the remaining stormtrooper. Their eyes flicker and you hear Reggie's voice come over. It's like, I thought I told you guys to run. I'll see you at the dock. Roger, roger.

19:11

Ben
Drink?

19:12

Shawn
Sure.

19:15

Addy
We come to the point of clearing battle droids.

19:19

Ben
Battle droids just saved us.

19:22

Addy
Yeah, not those ones the night. The cool ones.

19:27

Ben
That was embarrassing. That was not a great fight. Guys, we got a lot of work to do.

19:32

Case
So you guys are all hurt. And as you are on your run, like none of you are in great shape, you're all kind of limping away. However, you're getting pretty close to it. In fact, through the sensors, Fender, you can tell that they're actually about to run around the corner. The radar sort of indicates some particularly Gungan like shapes. Almost around the corner there.

20:00

Ben
Taking a lot of damage, Addie.

20:02

Addy
I'm just taking so much damage.

20:03

Ben
I look like a Gungan now.

20:06

Case
Alright, so you do you activate the guns. You still have all those troopers locked on? Yep. All right, so you. Susan lays waste to the troopers that are right at the door there. And so when they come around the corner, there's no troopers right there. There's still a bunch around. And the loading dock doors are open. And you can see out into space. There's those death stars. But they don't know actually what's going on in the loading dock. But all these stormtroopers kind of like stop and turn and look at you guys as you come out. Because all the gunshots and everything drew their attention.

20:45

Ben
This is gonna end badly.

20:47

Case
When Reggie steps out from another corridor with his heavy blaster drawn. And he is popping off stormtroopers as he's walking out. And I guess he's really firing with his left hand. With his right hand, he's, like, tapping it. And all these service droids that were kind of deactivated Rise up and start attacking imperials. So most of them are actually now being grappled by service droids. Like, he's common geared all the ones that are around you. So you have an open access way to get to the ship.

21:27

Ben
Run.

21:28

Case
All right. So you run through. So, finder, what are you doing with. As they're running? Get to the Susan.

21:33

Shawn
Well, I think I'm still fine. Well, I'm taking heavy fire, But I'm also going to start firing at all the targets I had lived.

21:38

Case
Okay. You. You start laying with the ones that you. That you did not already have locked down Are being grappled by, like, by repurposed battle droids. As Reggie is firing off and picking off some of them. They're trying to get to you, and you have your shield first.

21:56

Shawn
Let's drop those shields.

21:58

Case
Okay. Let's drop those shields.

21:59

Shawn
Okay.

22:02

Ben
That would have been a really funny bloop. Drop those shields like a pair of panties. We're coming aboard.

22:11

Case
All right, you guys, get on board. When you see outside of the airlock, A TIE fighter rises up into your field of view.

22:22

Shawn
That's all in the trailer. It's not in the actual.

22:26

Ben
That does deserve a drink. It's still a lot of rum.

22:35

Case
A blaster shot from the TIE fighter comes in and hits the ship. It also takes out a bunch of stormtroopers. It's such a large impact, your ship is hit. So you're probably going to want to raise the shields. But it's still functional right now. We're all on board, right? Every one of you, except for Reggie. No Reggie.

22:57

Addy
Wait for Reggie. Right? Is he making Raise the shields?

23:01

Ben
Did he say raise the shields? Fender, did you raise the shields?

23:04

Case
He hasn't actually raised the shields yet. He has the choice to raise the shields.

23:07

Shawn
But yes.

23:10

Case
Reggie taps on his Right hand. And you guys see this red sphere rush over to him, and a droidica or the destroyer droids flips into position right in front of him. And he grabs hold of it, and it leaps back into its ball form and starts rushing as he's being dragged. He has his right foot, like, on the ground so that his back body is not getting, like, dragged by it. But sparks are coming off of his mechanical foot. And it's a Blue shields circle up around it. And then as it starts to gain speed, those shields turn red, and you get a calm message over it being like, get ready to go. Get ready to go. And the droideka drags regi through the airlock force shields. And the red shield of the droideka Slams into the force shield of this tie fighter.

24:18

Ben
The what shield?

24:19

Case
Force shield of this tie fighter. Force shield, yes.

24:22

Ben
Force shield, yes. Because tie fighters don't have shields. No.

24:27

Case
Curiously, this tie fighter appears to have a shield. Are we retconning tie fighters? Hold on.

24:35

Addy
Modified tie fighters have few.

24:37

Ben
Darth vader's the only one who had a modified TIE fighter scepter.

24:41

Case
Actually, not. He's 100% not the only one who did. He's just the first who didn't. And curiously, this. So this droideka, the red shields of it, Burns through the force shield around the tie fighter, and it slams into the cockpit window. Into the pilot, and then. Did you just kill darth vader? No. And then, you see, it gets sucked back out into space, and the droideka expands to sort of catch everything and to block it off completely. So you have no idea what's going on inside of that tie fighter. But all of a sudden, it just, like, sort of, like, shifts around erratically and then begins firing off indiscriminately. But before it spins around and starts flying away completely, okay. And a comm message goes, move, you idiots.

25:42

Ben
Move.

25:44

Addy
Let's move.

25:45

Ben
I guess dance. I don't know what else to do. You're the pilot.

25:49

Case
So, fender, let's get a pilot check going to get you out of there.

25:54

Addy
Oh, lord, it's cable man.

25:58

Case
Who shut this crap up over the comm, you hear? It's like, I've taken over this tie, but I can't see. I had to take out the cockpit. My droideka's keeping in the atmosphere 15.

26:09

Ben
Tell me what to shoot.

26:11

Shawn
No. Yeah, it's me.

26:12

Ben
Not us. Where is he? He's turned around, right?

26:17

Case
Yeah, he's turned. He's turned away from.

26:19

Ben
From the ship.

26:20

Case
Is there Anything other than with that pilot check or with that pilot check, you're able to get the. The ship. Get able to get Susan leaving the airlock as you're coming out. You see in the distance there's these Star Destroyers, but they're not like, right on top of you. And there are TIE fighters all kind of like switches swirling around you. Let's give someone take navigation and figure out what way you need to face the TIE fighter if it's gonna fire off on anyone. So it's not. Not pilot Astrogate, right? Yeah.

26:54

Addy
Find the courts for your legend.

26:58

Case
20. All right, you're.

27:00

Shawn
You.

27:01

Case
You relay commands over the comm to Reggie and he is able to be directed off towards where like, TIE fighters are coming. He's just firing off indiscriminately, but his shots actually do hit one or two of them. You see more TIE fighters coming at you as you're still trying to get fully clear of the space station. Give me another pilot check to avoid any incoming fire.

27:30

Shawn
25.

27:32

Case
All right, so yeah, you're able to start pulling out. TIE fighters are coming on you. Like, let's get another nav check to figure out, like, where it needs to be aiming.

27:39

Shawn
Guys, I just pulled out and TIE fighters are coming on me.

27:42

Cory
8.

27:44

Ben
Jesus Christ.

27:48

Shawn
I heard you talking, so I just wanted to come up.

27:50

Case
It starts flying forward and is completely missing everything.

27:54

Ben
Reggie, get back to us. You're not gonna make it out there.

28:00

Case
We need a distraction. Point me in the right direction.

28:03

Ben
You're in the right direction. Get back to this ship.

28:07

Case
Fendir, get a. Get a pilot check to figure out what direction you need to be facing to go into hyperspace.

28:12

Ben
No fender. Go back for Reggie.

28:14

Shawn
26.

28:18

Case
If you guys are ready at it, let's blow this popsicle stand. Someone tell me which way to face.

28:25

Ben
That's what she said.

28:27

Case
Bailious, give me another check.

28:30

Ben
15.

28:31

Shawn
All right.

28:32

Case
The TIE fighter starts flying towards the oncoming squadron of TIE fighters and it's firing off shots in every given direction.

28:40

Ben
No. Reggie.

28:41

Case
As they're starting to swarm along it. Shots being fired and hitting its force shields.

28:47

Ben
It doesn't have shields. God damn it. I want an apology, not a retcon. Not getting.

28:56

Case
Explodes.

28:57

Ben
No.

29:00

Case
And takes six TIE fighters with it.

29:03

Ben
Because it clearly doesn't have shields.

29:06

Case
You see as explosion. The explosion starts to push into the blue halo of these shields around these TIE fighters before puncturing through and destroying.

29:17

Ben
Them as well, because they don't have shields.

29:19

Case
Everyone give me spot checks.

29:21

Ben
You can see that they don't have shields. I got 25.

29:26

Case
So I can clearly see that TIE.

29:27

Ben
Fighters don't have shields.

29:29

Addy
25. I see a shield.

29:33

Case
I see a figure in white holding on very closely to a red fire extinguisher that he's cut the head off. And the exos is he propelling towards us.

29:49

Ben
Is sending him towards you guys.

29:52

Case
And you see Reggie give me a.

29:54

Ben
Piloting check to get in position for him. Yes.

30:00

Case
17. You move into position for him to get to your loading dock or into your airlock doors and he comes on board.

30:15

Cory
And the fire extinguishers win again.

30:20

Case
Give me one more pilot check to get out of there before they review you.

30:23

Ben
You better roll a 20. Hey.

30:25

Case
Or not.

30:27

Ben
10 just flew us right into a starter.

30:29

Case
You're able to start moving out. Unfortunately, shots are coming down. With your shields up, you've got three more shots left in you before the ship is destroyed and the shield or like before the shots go through the shields and you're taken out. A group of TIE fighters are now swarming at you guys because you took the time to pick up Reggie. Give me another pilot check real quick.

30:55

Ben
Come on, 20.

30:56

Case
Come on, 20.

30:59

Ben
14.

31:03

Case
Okay, where's his modifier? That was his modifier. No, but that's sufficient. You're able to take off. You don't have a clear lock, but you do at least have a lock into open space.

31:15

Shawn
There you go. See Ghost Speed Racer. Glass half full.

31:20

Ben
Glad sack.

31:22

Shawn
There we go.

31:23

Case
24. The the path that you were going to is going to take you to clear open space. But it's only gonna be a two hour jump. And hopefully they weren't able to immediately lock on to you guys with that. 24. As you're sort of like. We'll say that was you being able to get away without them like locking onto you. All right, you guys have gotten clear.

31:45

Ben
Fuck your Wookiee.

31:47

Case
So it's only gonna be a couple hours in space. It's not gonna be as long as the last trip.

31:51

Ben
I got what I wanted. I swear to one day to come.

31:53

Addy
Back and get free a Wookie.

31:55

Case
I was hoping to save that droid. Thank you.

31:58

Ben
I think we thank you.

32:00

Case
That's why I gave you the bag. I wanted it on the ship.

32:04

Ben
I'm sorry, but were using it to get out.

32:06

Addy
He's as clumsy as he's stupid.

32:09

Case
Drank.

32:14

Ben
Foe went down.

32:15

Shawn
Bahama Mama.

32:16

Ben
Well,

32:18

Case
I didn't have a choice. I can't fault you guys. You did come back for me.

32:23

Ben
Well, we couldn't leave you there. You saved our. Our bacon. Twice.

32:27

Case
Three times.

32:27

Ben
Three times a lady.

32:30

Shawn
Oh, by the way, guys, I was trying to tell you that the Empire showed up and you need to get back to the ship. Yeah. Oh, hey, thanks.

32:35

Case
Yeah, thanks.

32:36

Ben
Keep us posted.

32:37

Case
Didn't even notice. So, Ithorian.

32:41

Ben
Bender, right?

32:43

Shawn
Yes. Bendir. Bendir over.

32:45

Ben
We're not giving our real names out. No, we're still not. We still have real names. Yeah, but he's kind of with us.

32:52

Case
Where are we going?

32:54

Ben
Open space.

32:55

Shawn
Open space.

32:57

Case
Okay.

33:01

Addy
Should we head to the.

33:02

Case
Reggie, I got some news.

33:03

Ben
Is it safe for you to go back to. No.

33:06

Case
If the Imperials FASA knew. I had to be the one to get you out of here. Because if. If the Imperials questioned me. Guys, I have some news for you. I. I'm a clone. Wait, what? Great. I was a clone trooper in the Clone Wars. Wow. And unfortunately, if. If I were to be questioned by any Imperial soldiers or anything, I. I would have no choice but to divulge the information.

33:37

Ben
Well, I have news for you, too. The names we gave you are fake.

33:42

Case
I gathered. My real name is Steve Rogers.

33:47

Cory
And my real name is Wang2Fat.

33:53

Ben
Oh, hey.

33:54

Case
Yeah, that sounds right.

34:00

Ben
He just saved our lives, guys. But why are we lying to him? So, I always wanted to be Captain America.

34:11

Case
Gave me.

34:11

Ben
He's wanted a big way. We all have dreams. Yeah, I wanted a cookie.

34:32

Case
Look, FASA gave me some important information. We need to get this back to the rebels. If you know how we can get back to them. Apparently, the Death Star was just the tip of the iceberg.

34:43

Ben
I knew it. I knew it.

34:47

Case
I'd be happy to pass that information on, Steve. Thank you.

34:51

Ben
Let's get you where you can. Because I knew there was something more than the Death Star.

34:56

Shawn
You know, Reggie, for a clone, you're not very funny. And your shoes aren't very big.

35:04

Ben
God damn it.

35:07

Case
On that note, I might need some assistance with a new shoe. My. My leg seems to be kind of banged up from that. That escape attempt. If any of you are any good with repair, I could use some work on that. I got a six on repair.

35:25

Ben
Anybody can beat that.

35:26

Shawn
Negative.

35:27

Case
Not me.

35:27

Ben
I'll help you out, Reg. You're my boy, Blue.

35:31

Case
So while you guys are traveling, you spend some time working on that. Trying to fix his leg. So it's cut off from below the knee. And what it is a hydraulic shaft that extends. That he can use for jumping and for kicking things really hard. You guys. Actually, because of that intimidate check, you did a really good job. And prevented him from using it in combat, which I was really excited to use. But that was a really good intimidate check. So what are you gonna do? Yeah, exactly. Rolls are rolls. So you're working on his leg and you guys are all traveling until you get to the safe point. Anything else you guys do in this two or three hour window?

36:04

Cory
I'm at three wound. I mean, can I do anything to heal myself?

36:08

Ben
Yeah, we're all pretty banged up.

36:09

Case
Yeah, I mean, you guys can try to use some med packs.

36:12

Ben
How many med packs do we have left?

36:13

Case
Treat wound, whatever, I would say. Well, treat wound kind of works in conjunction with med packs in this setting, because I think we only have two left.

36:20

Addy
Yeah, we only have two.

36:21

Case
I would say you can use one because you're not under duress in this time. So you're not like you're not like quickly using all the materials at once. So I'd say you can use one to sort of get you guys all back up, at least the full wounds. And once you guys have rested, you'll be back up your vitality points. But we're in an interesting spot, guys. We're. We need you to get us to the rest of the rebels, to the rendezvous. Yeah, we gotta go to Hoth, right? No, there's the rendezvous point. The rendezvous point, you remember is Argonaur.

36:54

Ben
Oh, yeah, Argonaur. Good old Argonauer.

36:58

Case
Let's go to Hoth. All right, we'll go to Argonaut. I'm sorry, where's Hoth?

37:03

Ben
I don't know. What.

37:05

Case
I've never heard of this.

37:06

Ben
It's on the wrong side of the galaxy.

37:08

Case
Yeah, I'm pretty sure no one knows about this planet at this point in time.

37:13

Ben
Argonaur's rendezvous point. That's where we'll find the rebels, where.

37:16

Case
You can pass on your information. Reggie. All right, let's get there.

37:20

Ben
Let's get there.

37:21

Case
That's when there's a rotten egg. All right, and you guys, so you reposition your lights or faster than light jump once you come out of the past one. So it's going to take you a little bit of time. So we're going to say that it's going to be about an hour to calculate and get the right trajectory. And then it's going to be about a 10 hour trip. Is there anything else you guys want to do in this time? So you've got a chunk of time. Fendir is going to be mostly occupied during these middle chunks. So he's not going to be able to really get a full rest in there. But he would be.

37:59

Ben
He's the one who's scared of hyperdrive though, right? Like, has he overcome his fear of hyperdrive?

38:04

Case
At the very least? Clearly, in the frenzy of trying to get free, he got you out of there on that small jump. And he's going to have to at least be like working on it to direct you into hyper jump the next time or hyperdrive the next time. But once you guys are in hyperdrive, he'll be okay. It's just he's very tense. Need a back rub, buddy? Yeah, if you don't mind, that'd be great.

38:25

Shawn
All right, get that shaved Wookiee over here.

38:29

Case
So for the most part, you guys are recuperating and you're just. It's really small quarters. It's not like you can do a whole lot. Like, you work on his foot. Probably by the end of the 10 hour stretch, you've gotten his foot kind of back in position so he can at least walk because he was not able to prior to that. And as you guys are coming out of hyperdrive at Argonar, you come out of it to see a battle going on because the Empire is there, out of the fire. And that's where we're going to end the session every time.

39:10

Addy
I know, right? Like, we're just right out of it, right back in the middle of all of it.
